Old time followers of Extreme Philly Fishing *(2011-2014)* have probably noticed already that the Extreme Philly Fishing Blog is back in full force at extremephillyfishing.blogspot.com/. I would like to point out that, as a matter of fact, 2018 will be a year where I will focus primarily on the Blog and secondarily on the Channel! Thus, the RUclips Channel will become a "support" for the Blog posts. Don't worry, though, fellas...although the format of the videos may change a bit, I will still upload as much as I can. Also, you folks will still be able to follow my journeys through my creations. P.s. from the filming perspective, 1st to 3rd person switches (and vice-versa) will be prominent on my videos! I would like to emphasize that Extreme Philly Fishing fits in the "educational/community" category when it comes to social media. Entertainment will come second. Thus, the educational aspect of the Channel will not be forgotten! Videos starting this year will be packed with even more information, so that viewers here on the Channel will have more opportunities to learn when it comes to the sport of fishing and Multi-Species angling. I am working on getting a lot my language fixed as well, so this Channel can become even more family friendly. Thank you very much for your time, and I hope we all have a wonderful 2018! Tight lines and FISH ON!
Because money is not the most important thing for me, islifereal. :) I mean...of course money *IS* important, and an essential thing for survival. But we can't just let money dictate our lives, right?! Otherwise, we would be truly miserable. RUclips will still be a source of income, but rather than focusing on business alone, I want to do the things that I consider important! And the soul of Extreme Philly Fishing lies in sharing my fishing experiences to you guys, all while incorporating an educational approach to it. That is the most important thing to me!! :)
Leo I was literally sick for a whole month with a terrible cough and a soar thought. It actually turned out that yesterday I went to the doctor to get a huge shot to keep my thought from closing.
Great video brother! If we get in the 50s here in Miami, we break the thermals, followed by the thick long sleeves, then by the thick jacket, and finally the scarf and gloves!
When you get hung up. Put some tension on you rod, grab your line before the first eye and pop it like you were trying to lay a chalk line. It will usually knock that jig off especially if it's rocks or a tree trunk.
Hey I live up in Ontario. So EPF consider yourself lucky. I plan on making some pike videos this summer I love watching your videos keep it up. Make more kastking videos because I bought the kastking blackhawk
Hey Leo? Can you make a 2018 calendar? So fans know where you will be when? Maybe schedule meet ups everywhere you go. I really wanna meet u man, next time you are in the South Carolina area lmk. I missed u by 20 minutes when you fished at old picket bridge, remember you forgot your bait.
I wish I could do that, P. Gibbons. But you know how it is with fishing...you just never know about the weather! Plus, my schedule is super hectic with my tutoring job in play. If I did RUclips full time, I could plan around it. But since this is my part-time job, I can't really do that. :(
Awesome I live in Philly and trying to find hobbies to get my life and head right, I thought fishing and cause it's a cheap hobby. Much gratitude to you bro....seriously I been looking hard.
Bro! You need to bundle up more. I get tempted to go fishing when it's cold too, even while I am sick. And when I do decide to go while I am sick, I go overkill on the bundle up. Can't risk getting worse!
I did some winter creek fishing myself this week in Alexandria, VA. No fish either, but nice to be outside anyways. I always say, you can only get skunked by your attitude - fish or no fish.
I like this video more, just because you showed us that everytime you go out it's not a slay fest. You're human just like all of us. Good video tho and tight lines brotha
Johnson minnow spins an rooster tails we're the only things working for the trout 1.5 months ago. I found a 1/4oz rooster tail an caught a 7 inch rainbow on it an multiple browns.
I don't blame you for fishing man I live here in Iowa and our winters start sometimes late October so we got to really get our fishing on in the summer but in the winter I love ice fishing keep warm and safe fishing 🙃
Dude nice name drop with seattle i grew up there we have no ive fishing in western wa maybe in the moutwins winter time equals salmon steelhead bull trout in rivers trout kokenee bass panfish in lakes during winter salmon in the salt.
Next time put a red circle ring on where your lure hit in the water or when the first strike it , it would be nice to actually see where it hit or land
Hey Leo I have a question...where do the fish ( panfish/bass)in small rivers/ creeks go to during the winter ? Like how is it that the creek could be populated with fish during other seasons but in the winter they just disappear :/
extremephillyfishing.blogspot.com/2018/01/my-first-fish-of-2018-testing-my-new.html That's the blog post for my 2nd outing of this year. If you read EPF's tip there, it mentions how fish hugs structure during the Winter time. They will be under rocks and leaf piles -- places where you can't usually see. They will be very very TIGHT to any type of structure!
Honestly, even though this wasn't the most entertaining of videos, it was both informative, and a good moral booster. I've tried out a few places and caught nothing, and I thought I'm just bad.
Extreme Philly Fishing Hope so man, if its as cold as it is here in cleveland. Hope your next adventure is sucessful, got skunked today as well -kilner
Well, it's called fishing not catching! EPF, it's nice to see you keepin' it real by sharing this video, even while being skunked. It has happened to all of us and it's nice to see a video not "edited" to be perfect. Keep up the great job!! Yes, I'm a sub :-)
hunting is good in the snow too. birds and rabbits are out. if you can get a pellet rifle that meets the regulations in your neighborhood you can make some hunting videos too
And go trout fishing at French creek in PA it’s about 45 minutes away from philly they stock the wholes place with trout but you want to go to the smaller lake and fish by the bridge and waterfall the trout love it there
Thanks for the video Leo and replying to my message. No need for apologizing for getting skunked, it adds to the realness of fishing and what makes your channel so much better than others!
Good stuff man just started watching your videos about a week ago like it man keep it up most people only post when they are catching. good to see someone keep it real and post a video showing that there's always a chance u won't catch anything. Just take in the experience.
quite intro............ didnt want to start an avalanche? I know you are far but you have rivers connected to the great lakes( im kinda sure) u should get to one of those a try a wiggle wort, hot n' tot or a flat fish!
Hello Leo , wishing u and your wife a happy new yr with much success and all things good in the new yr . Leo , my sincere apology ... my husband n i said we were going to send u something for the holidays but some serious health issues came up and we were unable to do so. We enjoy ur vids so much ... u make us laugh all the time and so we will make sure to support ur channel. Take care of ur health Leo ... without it life becomes quite difficult. Yeah, man!! The Creek was totally dead. No Trout around the Roosevelt Boulevard portion of the Creek at all. Tomorrow I am trying a different spot for Multi-Species! It should be LIT!
Even though u caught nothing we are grateful u still go out to fish in these conditions hopefully winter will be over soon man, tight lines💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻🙏🏻!!!!

Really? Seriously? Why I'm not going to read a blog and a bunch of other may not either you will do way better on youtube
Extreme Philly Fishing the content are different now stepping up the game uh🙄
I find that a dropshot with a very slow retrieval is best in this cold weather it may not work for every place.
Leo I was literally sick for a whole month with a terrible cough and a soar thought. It actually turned out that yesterday I went to the doctor to get a huge shot to keep my thought from closing.
That sucks, MylesC Multi Fishing. I hope you heal soon, brother!
your vid summed up how it's been for me my last couple of outings
I'm glad you show these videos . It makes it more real when even you get skunked. Makes me feel better lol
In new to the channel I been watching some of your videos. Great job man and keep up the great work!
Great video brother!
If we get in the 50s here in Miami, we break the thermals, followed by the thick long sleeves, then by the thick jacket, and finally the scarf and gloves!
Thanks Leo, keep them coming.
Fishing is the best medicine
Agreed!
Digging the new hairdo! Looking good even if you don’t catch any
Thank you! I appreciate it!
In new mexico we have stocked rainbow trout in albuquerque during the winter, and kokanee salmon in the lakes
Leo, ur such a gangsta for disregarding what your doctors said... BADASS!!!!!!!!!
Leo there is a fishing in Suffern New York at Rockland Community college it is called World Fishing Expo And it is from March 2-5
That little jingle at the transition of your intro, just curious leo... is that your ringtone??? Lol! Love your channel! Hope you reach 1 million!
And I was wondering if u could do a review this year
I wish you luck with the Pike! And yes -- more KastKing videos will eventually drop on the Channel.
Hey Leo? Can you make a 2018 calendar? So fans know where you will be when? Maybe schedule meet ups everywhere you go. I really wanna meet u man, next time you are in the South Carolina area lmk. I missed u by 20 minutes when you fished at old picket bridge, remember you forgot your bait.

guess winter is hard everywhere
Leo, come on up to northern Minnesota and try Lake of the Woods for some great ice fishing. Great videos my man.
A realistic Philly winter fishing video 😅
The Creek is a shell of what it was 25 years ago. Next time I run into you I’d love to chat about it.
Man love the videos so much education and entertainment. Thanks man
Awesome I live in Philly and trying to find hobbies to get my life and head right, I thought fishing and cause it's a cheap hobby. Much gratitude to you bro....seriously I been looking hard.
Good luck to you I hope everything works out. Fishing can get expensive though.
Bro! You need to bundle up more. I get tempted to go fishing when it's cold too, even while I am sick. And when I do decide to go while I am sick, I go overkill on the bundle up. Can't risk getting worse!
The good: we got a new awesome vid. The bad: you should be resting!
Hah. I am resting well, DigitalSphinx! Don't worry. Hehe
Extreme Philly Fishing I'm more worried your wife will pull a Steven King's Misery on you.
Nice video. From Novosibirsk Russia. Ultra light spining forever)
Leo come to minnesota during winter our ruver (mississippi) freezes not thick enough to walk on but good enough that you cant see the moving water
Like the $4 haircut. Keep up the good videos man
I live in Boston and the fishing in the Charles River is very tough in the winter, but each time I watch your videos it makes me want to keep going!
I did some winter creek fishing myself this week in Alexandria, VA. No fish either, but nice to be outside anyways. I always say, you can only get skunked by your attitude - fish or no fish.

Hey man! Hair is lookin great in this video!
You need to use a lure retriever Leo.
I don't blame you for fishing man I live here in Iowa and our winters start sometimes late October so we got to really get our fishing on in the summer but in the winter I love ice fishing keep warm and safe fishing 🙃
the elusive tree bass
The rainbun chrout cx
Dude nice name drop with seattle i grew up there we have no ive fishing in western wa maybe in the moutwins winter time equals salmon steelhead bull trout in rivers trout kokenee bass panfish in lakes during winter salmon in the salt.
Try a quantum xt micro series rod and a quantum q-ray reel casts very well and won't break your pocket.
Would the head mount be a better view, since your arms n rod won't block the view .
Next time put a red circle ring on where your lure hit in the water or when the first strike it , it would be nice to actually see where it hit or land
Fishing Quotes, Sayings about Fishermen, Fish, Angling
My nearest lakes are frozen over!
Hey Leo I have a question...where do the fish ( panfish/bass)in small rivers/ creeks go to during the winter ? Like how is it that the creek could be populated with fish during other seasons but in the winter they just disappear :/

Crazy, you are fishing so close to where I live hopefully I get to see you one day
Honestly, even though this wasn't the most entertaining of videos, it was both informative, and a good moral booster. I've tried out a few places and caught nothing, and I thought I'm just bad.
Nice haircut. I am home so 0% chance of fish but 100% chance of being warm
Come to 30st center city

hunting is good in the snow too. birds and rabbits are out. if you can get a pellet rifle that meets the regulations in your neighborhood you can make some hunting videos too
the best spot to fish in the winter is...wait for it the water haha
Love the white snow, Getting skunked fishing is better than not fishing at all...
True words, my friend!
Vaaj Rambo. Should have tried a stick bobber with the tear drop and worm. A slow drifting appearence is effective in cold weather
And go trout fishing at French creek in PA it’s about 45 minutes away from philly they stock the wholes place with trout but you want to go to the smaller lake and fish by the bridge and waterfall the trout love it there
French creek also has some pickerel and some of the biggest panfish I have ever seen
I appreciate the suggestion!
Hey man love your videos never stop keep it up
Glad to hear that you enjoy the contents on the Channel, Kevin!
I’ve been watching you since you had 9 thousand subs on my other RUclips account
I'm surprised you don't fish for carp in the winter time, they still bite. In open water and on the ice bro.
Please fish for trout in Calgary Alberta Canada
I appreciate the suggestion, but I am not sure when I will be going to Canada! We will see.
I lost a big walleye on the min-o-spin
Damn! Legit, Brady Cross!!! Hopefully you will catch it next time.
better luck next time. I'm in the category of people who stay home when its cold.
Looks mighty cold my fellow fishing friend. Hope the new RUclips rules don't mess u up 2 much. Tight lines and good health 2 U!!
Come to cleveland and steelhead fish with me:)
Thanks for the video Leo and replying to my message. No need for apologizing for getting skunked, it adds to the realness of fishing and what makes your channel so much better than others!

How does philly have all that snow ???
Great video leo, winter fishing can be tough!
Thank you, Fishing With Finn. The struggle is real!
I was at the same exact spot you were at and I also got snagged. You probably got snagged on this huge tree that fell over .
Yes! I was casting there repeatedly, expecting a Trout to pop up, Royal - Agario.
Looking forward to your next video, Leo!!! :D

Hi Leo look so nice love your video
Great video leo!
Thank you!
You need a hat Leo
Come to the Rockland Fishing Show please
Where is that at?
Extreme Philly Fishing it is in Rockland New Jersey
It is at Rockland Community College suffern New York March 2-5 World Fishing And outdoor exposition
i understand the struggle of winter fishing being from nj. what are your techniques for avoiding snags
As you saw in this video, Samson, I am not all that great in avoiding snags. Hah. On a side note...one good technique for _getting free_ is to *never* jerk your rod after you feel the snag! Give it light twitches and point your rod as upwards as you can, and usually you can get your stuff free! Unless it is a very very bad snag, of course. A bad *tree pounder* will take everything away from you....
Extreme Philly Fishing ok thanks I'll have to try that. Trout fishing is especially tough in terms of snags
Has Leo ever been fishing in other countries? (0u0) judging by his accent he is not originally from the US.
Leo looking slick with the hair cut.
Thank you, Jar Kas!
if you cant catch them nobody can. ive been skunked everytime out this year in delaware besides a couple bluegills on a joes fly. love the videos and its nice to see the struggle
Thank you very much for all the love and support, Dat Bass! I hope so too!
