THIS IS GENUINELY MY FAVOURITE ELECTRICAL CHANNEL ON RUclips !!!! So glad you lot put this Channel together, excellent content, great atmosphere, always getting an insight of the latest gadgets, tools and products. Amazing work guys !!!
I've been using a similar blue colour version made some other company. Don't know which one. I bought it about 10 years ago from WF electrical. It's really good. It's fixed size. 20mm and 25mm versions. Highly recommended these sort of tools
I've been using a rothenberger plumbers pvc pipe slice it's OK but defo not as fast as your knipex one & I can't do flush cuts with mine I just like the fact you can get a straight un ragged cut for your conduit beats hack saw hands down 👍well done guys 👏
I like how it grips the pipe to stop it from twisting. I use the ck ones currently and you struggle to hold the tube square in the cutter when ringing it to get a neat flush cut it deviates. Also, when it's cold tube snaps, if you try to use the cutters to cut through. The other cutters are good though for mini trunking
I have a kopex round 20mm only conduit cutter . The beauty with this one I can cut The conduit with the cables still in as the cutting blade does not go to deep into the conduit .. the knipex one does look good bug don't think I will get one . More than happy with my ratchet pipe cutters .
What do you think about it for plumbing? What do you use it on most and have you found it to be the best or most convenient for the application? I’m thinking about it for cutting tubular traps instead of bringing in the Milwaukee M12 hacksaw.
Just looking for a good way to cut PVC pipe with a straight cut with out the scrappy ends. This looks good for 2" pipe or less. I cut mostly 2" - 4" pvc but still want those nice ends you get with the bix
I just bought this for my miniatures hobby. It looks very handy for cutting tubes doesn't cost much and doesn't bend thin plastic tubes which is ideal for me. also the large surface area holding the pipe or whatever gives you lots of control. Hopefully I won't be dissapointed. I'm trying to make 2 anti aircraft canons from plastic gum bottles. What I'm trying to do is cut off the bottom part of the gum bottle and cut off the top with the cap of another gum bottle, put the top on the other ones bottom with glue and fill the inside up with constructive adhesive glue for extra sturdiness. Then I have two rotating caps where I can apply two tank barrels on both sides of the bottle on both caps
@@efixx Probably did but I threw the packaging straight in the bin. I thought it's just s piece of plastic with a blade. How difficult can it be, meh 🤷♂️.
the added bonus of the bix holding the conduit in place and not flying over the place is that if you're working near the client, they'll be impressed by how tidy you are
I’ve been waiting for these to appear on the UK market so that I could try them to cut conduit and ABS pipe (for aspirating systems). The pipe shears often crush the pipe to some extent and are not always satisfactory
Hi, really it is very useful tool , but I have made additions to move blade from vertical to horizontal to use it also for Peeling cables whose size is more than 18 mm But if knipex made this addition it will be better for pipes and peeling cables Kind regards
Had one a few weeks, there really good, th only downfall is when you forget to lock it closed and grate your finger on the blade when you rummaging in ya tool bag. 👍😂
I do a bit of plumbing with replacing showers i doubt it would cut 15mm copper pipe though :) Knipex seem to be doing a lot of good tools, might be expensive but worth the money. I can see advantages of no swarf,no rough edges over using a saw and not squashed as if possibly cut with a mini trunking/conduit ratchet cutter. Talking about Mini trunking is there any tools you recommend to cut it other than a junior hacksaw as I have a Ck rachet cutter but it has stopped opening up unless assisted I'm looking for a replacement and which gives a square edge and doesn't squash the end.
regular conduct cutter is fast and efficient. Less wrist action needed . as for large flexible conduit I would use a utility knife . Swapping out the fiddling blade bits could be a bore don’t you think?
it's a good bit of kit, used mine a couple of times now .. not worried about dropping stuff on the floor , the plumbers can clean that up :) .. Gordon needs to get on a manual handling course .. bend at the knees man :)
After watching a Knipex video the German sales person from Knipex says you pronounce the K. Any way will it cut steel conduit or that plastic coated wibbly wobbly conduit ?
How would you go about doing an electrical installation certificate, on double insulated fixed appliances such as a iskra 3 phase sub meter with CT clamps?
We’re do I get one and how much are they. I do like this tool, but thinking maybe the plumbers 22mm version may work just as well? All be it on 20mm conduit only I want that tool Great video and demonstration Guy’s as always ❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍⚡️⚡️
Costing me a fortune this channel is

Another great review gents. This is a much better piece of kit than my usual conduit cutter so will now be buying this item.

Thanks, I'm glad I watched this. I didn't realise the BiX I have has spare blades 😉.
Shhh 🤫 no mention in the instructions 📖

Tidy - whatever next !
@@efixx seeing as this was originally designed for plumbers.. need all the help they can get 😉😂

I am wondering if this could cut the outer sheaving of SWA cable!?
It probably could but would probably blunt the blade when it makes contact with the steel .
Great tool many thanks bought one.
Hello, can I cut combined plastic pipe with aluminuim please? and exist scisors for pipe plastic more than 63mm?
Had one a few weeks, there really good, th only downfall is when you forget to lock it closed and grate your finger on the blade when you rummaging in ya tool bag. 👍😂
I love it just received it today ❤️👍🏼🙂
will this cut soft tubing as used in computer water cooling?
Thank you, guys ♡♡♡
I want one ! I like it being easy to pocket !
Does it cut regular ABS plastic pipe ?
I do a bit of plumbing with replacing showers i doubt it would cut 15mm copper pipe though :)

Gordon uses the chop saw for most stuff and then the Milwonky bandsaw came along 😂
I use my Milwaukee battery multitool for PVC mini trunking.

Its true. Dont want back pain
Brilliant.
Would it work on SWA?
No, it's designed for plastic. It's the C.K T2250 you want to cut the steel on SWA, or the KNIPEX ErgoStrip for helping remove the inner sheath.
Will these cut schedule 40 pvc
You’ll have to explain schedule 40 to us first so we can comment.
@@efixx plastic piping with a wall thickness of 3.68mm I believe. Used for plumbing drainage in the states.
KNIPEX data sheets says 2.4mm max so looks like it’s a no from 🇩🇪
@@efixx you can use it as a starter and finish with the saw or knife..
After watching a Knipex video the German sales person from Knipex says you pronounce the K. Any way will it cut steel conduit or that plastic coated wibbly wobbly conduit ?
Just the plastic stuff - if you watch a Knipex UK video they don't pronounce the K
I can't understand why certain people are so pernickety in which way Knipex is pronounced. Either way is ok.
Where can I buy this please?
How would you go about doing an electrical installation certificate, on double insulated fixed appliances such as a iskra 3 phase sub meter with CT clamps?
Pvc conduit cutters?
Knipex need to bring out a cutter for trunking and swa and we're set
Infact if they made a ridged blade to fit in there it would work with swa 😏
Brilliant as less microplaslic waste
Rate kya hai
One RUclips spark referred to conduit as trunking pipe 😀
😂
😆 we’ll use that one ☝️
Tom Nagy calls it pipe lol 😂 does my nut in..
how can this be better than a standard pair of conduit cutters. makes no sense to me.
Be better if you had anything for metal kopex I stead of hacksaw
Item name sir
🏆
Plumbers can't view this, can't work tech 😂

I think you'll find we can 😜.

Is it bothering anyone else that he didn’t put the spare blades back in?
Don’t worry they went back in!
@@efixx Phew!! Now I can sleep tonight.. Thank you. The anxiety was killing me. Hehe
Knipex not nipex. The k isn’t silent.
👍🏻
@@efixx 👎🏻
Well I guess I’m a self continuous plumber now
Knippex. No better tool.
Nothing worse than a stiff pipe
Its not a nipex
false advertising
