I have had multiple pairs of these when I lived in China and the real ones. All different styles of fabric and colours from both the Chinese markets and from the Toms.com website. My Chinese ones each cost me 5 dollars Canadian and they have all lasted 2 years. One pair I wear all the time and they still have not even worn out (actually none of them have). The ones from the Toms website? They have all fallen apart within 3-4 months, they were 60-70 dollars each not including shipping. And you can't tell the difference between any of them (except for the price you pay!)

I hate it that people fake things that are so attainable, like bags, or in this case shoes. Like I understand fake Louis vuitton and Chanel, but when you fake coach, witch is already and ugly brand, you look stupid, and you pay $80 for a fake one when you can wait a little longer and get a real one for $160 or something.
Exactly, why pay for the so called "real toms" and get ripped right of royaly when you can just simply get them allot cheaper, there both made in China anyway.
The fake ones are obviously fake. The stitching is crappy and cheap, the soles are too thick and rigid, the insoles are thin with no cushion or support, the canvas is poorly glued to the sole, the stitching across the top of the shoe is placed too far towards the toes, and the slope to the toe is far too drastic and pointy. Those things look like they'd fall apart in a day. It's a shame that so many people would consider buying these because they're cheaper. In the long run, the authentic, more expensive ones will last longer and not be a waste of money. Buy $48 shoes that last 2 years? Or $20 shoes that last a month? Not to mentioned that the price of Toms supports children and provides jobs for people in impoverished countries.
I bought 3 pairs on aliexpress... 8,50€/pair... free of shipping. Delivery takes 5 weeks to Germany. I can´t believe the promise from TOMS if they produce in China! So I can buy the cheaper ones.

There are millions of people claiming they bought fake stuff on youtube and 60 for these real shoes that last month is stupid they r all made in china anyways and when I can get the fake ones for 15 bucks and they are actually way better quality then the real ones then yes.. and with it being illegal um everything that comes into the us goes through customs if they were not allowed then they would take them. . the black soles are lighter because the red tom's sols are supposed to be a different color
the black toms the sole is lighter. so they weren't coloured wrong
the sole of the red ones is supposed to be tan & every other color is the lighter sole

Toms makes shoes everywhere. There are not just "real toms" in America.
The insoles on the real Toms are not supposed to come out id u try to pull them. Look for the "One for One" slogan imprinted inside the shoe.
