This Interview was recorded for MTV 120 Minutes on 9 July 1996 and broadcast on 14 July 1996. I only combined the four existing parts of this interview.
Matt Pinnfield is such an underrated interviewer. He's so knowledgeable, asks great questions, and gives the artists the time to answer the questions. It's a shame that doesn't need a musical knowledge guru anymore, given the shows they put on these days. Hopefully Matt has a successful podcast or something.
I miss these days. Back when MTV was amazing. You could see alot of cool band interviews and great music videos. It takes me back to my childhood. It will never be as good as those days. I was a sophomore in high school in 96.
I remember watching this and I was a sophomore in high school in 96 . Brings back memories, I recorded it on VHS kind of funny because I still have the tape somewhere in my garage. I remember being hugely disappointed by the album though... As most fans were, waited four years and got wild mood swings... Big Let down ,but over the years I've learned to love the album.
I knew they met jason on the playground looking for someone to buy him cigarettes. What's crazy is that Boris is my favorite drummer and played on some of their best albums but Jason has been the drummer for the cure more than any other drummer.
