I'd forgotten how edited the song was for the video. I'd highly recommend to check out the album version. It's a bit longer, there are more sections of the song, and it's generally more cohesive. This version feels very awkward in some spots, particularly around the bridge.
Very important section cut from the video version that is normally right after the bridge. "I need to find a darkened corner A lightless corner Where it's safer and calmer"
Mudvayne's music helped me through some of the darkest times in my life. Chad really knows how to get to the root of emotion. His lyrics coupled with some of the best bass playing in the world make them a force to be reckoned with. If I may suggest some other songs of theirs: Severed, Not Falling, Cradle, and Nothing To Gein are all absolute masterpieces.
Same! They were hugely helpful for me as well during some of my darkest times. Chad really makes you feel like he knows exactly how are you feeling in that moment and that you aren't alone. Ms. Amanda definitely needs to listen to Severed, it's one of the greatest musical masterpieces I've ever heard. Think she should also do Scream With Me. Fits SO well with the theme of channel.
Same for me bros. Slipknot and Mudvayne more so the early albums were great. The song IMN was my inner monologue put to words in the darker days, pretty much. Very cathartic.
more mudvayne - happy?, never enough, fall into sleep, forget to remember more hellyeah - moth, x, human, i don't care anymore, love falls, welcome home
I love your reaction. That being said, you HAVE to do the album version of this song. This version is so far beyond edited down, that it lost soooooo much of the intensity. ❤❤
Thank you for this 💜 World So Cold is one of nearly a dozen Mudvayne songs that has really pulled me through some vary dark, precipitous states of mind. So many of their songs just hit the right way. On their last 3 studio albums, Lost & Found, The New Game and Mudvayne, there's only 2 songs that I dont absolutely love. One song in particular that once pulled me back from the edge is Dead Inside, the final track on their last album
"I'm through mending the wounds of us" is such a bitter line... Chad, their singer conveys that emotion well. Their "debut" album was very bitter and angry towards family in particular
Completely understandable if you find the content too triggering right now. Only you know what is best for your journey right now. Just know we are here for you anytime you need to come back.
Love this song! Whenever i am having a wobble. This is in my playlist. It's amazing, when you open your eyes. You realise, some of the stuff around you is meaningless. Others, is worth guarding with your life.
Thank you for coming back to Mudvayne. Imo they are under appreciated from a lyrical aspect. Chad is the best lyricist and poet in the metal world. Mudvayne and Hellyeah both need to have there messages heard by more people. This song has been my theme song (for lack of a better term) for years now.
I would love you to react to skillet songs like not gonna die, the last night, open wounds, the older I get, hero, monster, circus for a psycho, the American noise, comatose, falling inside the black, looking for angels, one day to late, Lucy, never surrender, would it matter, sometimes, better than drugs, rebirthing, savior, imperfection, those nights, invincible, sick of it, madness in me, hard to find, rise, whispers in the dark, awake and alive, it’s not me, it’s you, believe, collide, a little more, and fingernails
I have written this before but I feel i't needs repeating: Life is about building a road, not walls. The road you build is blind and might lead you to scary places, but building that road means you move, and that is the most important thing. And it IS your road, which means you can decide which way it goes - even if it seems like you can't, that road is yours to build. Love
@@MentalAmanda As an addict I learn this the hard way. I don't use any more, but I learned to know my way, if that makes sense?. I had a shitty childhood and learned to be a 'man' in the army and saw some terrible things, and thought I was lost. For a long time. Then I found you, and your great team put me in touch with someone to talk to. From the bottom of my heart, Amanda I want to thank you! What you do saves lives, you are an inspiration! Thank you!
I love your channel and reactions, let me recommend you two songs by a Mexican Band (I know you gonna love them) called The Warning, The songs are Black Holes (they don't hold on) Live in Pepsi Center CDMX and Breathe Live in Pepsi Center CDMX, About Black Holes, many people have asked how a 16 year old Girl(by the time the song was written) could have wrote such hard lyrics,
more ffdp - under and over it, jekyll and hyde, wash it all away, i apologize, sham pain, ashes, the bleeding, lift me up, never enough, my nemesis, coming down, remember everything more falling in reverse - zombified, i'm not a vampire, losing my mind, losing my life, drugs, prequel, bad guy
You mention you like Linkin Park. Their new singer, Emily Armstrong has (had?) her own/other band, Dead Sara, and they are freakin' AMAZING!! I think you'd dig their stuff. Any of it, really. Like, just search Dead Sara on RUclips, pick a random song, and you'll probably be blown away. The entire album Ain't It Tragic is nothing but wall-to-wall SOLID GOLD!! But all their old stuff is awesome as well. Criminally underrated band. I hope Emily's still doing Dead Sara stuff, and if so, I hope her run with Linkin Park gets more attention for that band. Dead Sara is overflowing with awesome music, immearsurable talent, and I think a thing lacking in most bands nowdays... personality. Give 'em a go. If you need a starter recommendation... Good Times. Or Heroes. Or Gimme Gimme. Hell, anything. They deserve more attention, for sure. I promise you won't be disappointed. 😁
Ah yes. My breakup song. Fucking fun memories. I don't know why the fuck am i torturing myself every fucking year before the breakup month comes. That fucking october. Every fucking year. I'm sorry, i swear a lot.
Swear all you need! I find when I am purposefully triggering myself, it's because I haven't fully processed something. Grieving a break-up, like any time of grief, doesn't happen on a timeline. Clearly, this break-up affected you and it's okay to grieve even years later. It's okay to hurt. It's okay to wonder what could have been. It's okay to miss the person. So long as you are doing so in a healthy way. I hope that you get what you need from these songs and, little by little, shift into a season of celebrating the good times and realizing that more good times can be created, even without this person, instead of staying stuck rereading a chapter that has ended.
You still haven't heard Metallica - Master of Puppets..........I didn't want to comment this on your James Blunt - Girl That Never Was reaction because you were crying from the start, it seemed insensitive to request a song that I've requested multiple times on that video

"why does everyone feel like my enemy?" It do feel like that sometimes
That is your shadow. It is a valid response, just don't let it decide your actions for you. Many of us have those feelings at times.
Chad Grey is still one of my best therapies!
I haven't heard Mudvane since I was in high school that was many years ago btw I made it to 40 now
Hooray!! Great to see you again Amanda!! Also great song 🤘🏻💥🔥🙏🏻💯
This song got me through some dark moments ❤
This song helped me tackle the anger, anguish and rage.

You should react to hellyeahs moth chad gray singer for mudvayne is the singer in that band as well

Yes, feel free to ask. Engaging in conversation is important.
@@MentalAmanda does one survive the suicide or the attempt?
so hot!
Stop with the censored versions, you lose a lot of the song!!! Not just the swearing but context.
I don't always know what version is censored and what one isn't. Part of going into a song blind.
