Good day from Ontario Canada I'm 72 when I was about 7-8 I saw this thing & what stuck out was rear pulley. Our little town built Hergott threshing machines, they had one, they also had a jeep to pull machines around. Thanks
That's pretty cool stuff! Love the old Willys vehicles! They were built to run and keep running! Had a awesome 61 pick-up and plowed as a kid with a 49 pick-up as my grandfather owned a new at the time 51 wagon which he plowed with, also towed his 21 foot wooden boat with and cruised the beaches of Eastern Long Island with! They were definitely the best all around versatile vehicle of their time! Crude but they always worked! Lol Love the fact that they actually made a farm type tractor out there parts as well! SMFH!
rear belt tightening, firgure about where it needs to sit. pull in at a sharp angle. slide the belt on. hard turn and stomp the brake might just pop it into place nicely. Might still need an idler though
Bet they would have done better if they were 4×4. Post wwii with a 20-30 hp 4wd tractor. They would have done nicely. Front crank mounted hydro pump and lift arms they would have done well. Think of the tractors in that hp range post wwii. Jd50, AC wd, Massey Ferguson 35 etc
Very nice Tractor 👍👍👍
Great tractor! Has he ever thought about replacing the belt pulley with a PTO shaft? Thanks for sharing this awesome video with all of us!
Love seeing the old iron preserved no matter what color it may be.
That Empire is dang cool.
What a classic thanks for posting!

@ 0:13 : That is the proper way to dismount a tractor from a trailer.

Unimogs had something similar. Just mounted on the side, so you could reverse it to tighten the belt
3 thumbs down?? Sad people... 😕
We used the belt to chop corn silage and blow it up into an old wooden silo. Also ran a cord wood saw with a belt. IH super A,
I like that.
My friend in MB Canada has one. Going up for auction, 28 June, 2022
👍👍🤟

Yes just a few more features like that and I think it would have been a real winner
I have never seen a military Jeep with 3 PT except pictures
