- This is a full guitar cover of Infinite Dreams from Iron Maiden's 1988 masterpiece album Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. None of Adrian and Dave's original parts are featured in this video except for the accompaniment on the intro and solos. I hope you'll enjoy it!

@@LicksOfTheBeast Yeah. I would have been quite happy for them to drop "Fear of the dark" (a massively over-rated song) of even "The Trooper" for them to play that.
@@theutopiantrainer I hear ya... but for a lot of people seeing them for the first time a song like that can't be left out. They would have to do like Springsteen and play 3 hour sets in an ideal world 😄
Makes me laugh when some say Maiden were losing the plot with this album. As far I'm concerned this was their pinnacle! Great job covering this song. Absolutely stunning effort!

This is the greatest song on the face of the earth
I love in the Maiden England version how at the end of his solo Adrian holds the note while Dave comes back in with the melody harmony. Adrian sits out the first bar and then comes back in to play the harmony and what a difference it makes.
I'm glad somebody else noticed that. I think it's a more punchy return to that riff, really makes you think "ooh yeah, they should have played it like that on the studio release!" at 4:57 of that track for anybody else that wants to hear it.

The whole album is remarkable. I saw your breaking down video of Infinite Dreams and it made me appreciate this song even more! I know Maiden is rich in instrumentation ideas which go well with the storytelling, they just put you in the zone. I have been watching your videos and this one, along with the breakdown of the song my top one for sure.
It's a very unique album, for sure! You look at the cover when listening to it and you really feel transported into that world 😊

The album covers of Maiden are the best when you spread them and you see the whole artwork, just fascinating.
It is intriguing to me, the back of this album with those frozen figures of the previous albums. Could that be a hidden message for Adrian leaving the band after Seventh Son? I don't remmember hearing rumors back in the day.
This is my favorite album to relax and listen to on Sundays afternoon, I believe is a combination of Infinite Dreams and the last day of the week to come back to work the next day, kind of happy/melancholic harmonies.

This is the absolute balls my Brother... What a great job you did here... This was a superb album and what a Live show this tour was... "Up the Irons" Anybody watching that never had the chance to see this tour, there is an incredibly produced Iron Maiden concert called "Maiden England" which has a lot of great tunes on it including this gem... Thanks for sharing Brother!!!
I get goosebumps every time that I play or listen to those power chords with octaves on 1:26. Beautiful detail that they thought of when composing this masterpiece.

Yeah this is a nice feature, but I don't know if these are exaclty octaves or third / minor intevals, like during Where Eagles Dare in the middle part.
@@Ced-Gauche I think one guitar does octaves on the power chord. I think hehehe At least, that s how I used to play it. But I went by ear not using tablatures or anything, so I might be wrong.
@@guilhermelonskispacheco7644 Sounds to me like a minor third harmonized melody, but that jump at the end of the melody line touches that higher E once, I love it because it makes it sound much wider!
Yeah it really helps built the tension on that part... love it!
Dave is harmonizing a third above what Adrian is playing but yes he is playing octaves. 🙂

This song came out in 88 and released as a single in 89. You were 7 in 1986. Your story doesn't add up. 😂
@spice_krispies the album was released n the 11th of April 88 ,my birthday is in July and born in 79 so how doesn't that add up?

God I love this song. First track I remember as a kid learning all the lyrics to because I had the 7 inch single version from maiden England and listened to it about 700 times a day!

Man you knocked this one out of the park! Such a tasteful song with so many really nice little fills, runs and embellishments. I always found it a really odd choice for them to drop this and Still Life when they did the Maiden England revisit tour in favor of songs that were post SSOASS.
I love this song, Infinite Dreams and it is so much fun to play. And yes, I've enjoyed it much..

Great stuff and I love the channel! I can never decide if Somewhere in Time or Seventh Son of a Seventh Son is my favorite Iron Maiden album. I have a request: Could you make a video about the riffs of Seventh Son of a Seventh Son or even the melodies of Seventh Son of a Seventh Son? One of the things that I have always loved about the album is how it changes from up-tempo and major sounding to foreboding and minor sounding; I think that songs like The Clairvoyant and Infinite Dreams are a great examples of what I am talking about. I would love to know more about what's going on with some the theory behind these moments! Great videos!

A very unique song for maiden.Did dave write a lot of these licks? since he is a big Hendrix fan and those licks have a very strong Henrixy vibe in them.
Oh I have no doubt Dave wrote his own licks... what he plays on that first section is VERY Hendrix inspired 🙂
