Friendly reminder, Focus Features did this film, and this is the same studio that worked on much better films like Coraline, Kubo and the Two Strings, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Burn After Reading, London Has Fallen, etc.

Disappointing, Focus Features. Thought you were one of the higher quality movie production companies.
Apparently you are ignorant of the magical negro trope used in popular media (literature, movies, television, song). Steven king for instance is well known for utilizing mystical black characters that are mentors or stepping stones for the protagonist of his stories specifically Green Mile, The Stand, and the Shining. Do your own research so that we all can better understand one another, be peace!

Are these commenters being funny? IF we got racism out and were allowed to talk about it , it could go away! We are not allowed to discuss racism, as the commenters have proven, yet again
