It is very odd to see some of the most privileged people in society cosplay as victims all the time. I used to work at a university and, regardless of skin colour, there were many uppder middle class people who had convinced themselves they were societal victims. What a bizarre world we live in these days.

Injustices that happen concerning race don’t happen in a vacuum and doesn’t change everything as soon as an individual has wealth. There are so many different factors to consider when talking about other’s experiences and you you’d be lying if you considered or even know of them all.

I loved the movie and found it to be extremely relatable. The experience that is depicted is hard to put in film because racism and not feeling completely human is such an abstract concept. Fantastic Job!
I'm a South Asian. I've been racially attacked thrice. one was almost physical where he threatened to punch me if I didn't leave his friends house ( i was invited to play video game). All 3 times it was black men. Never have I experienced anything similar by any other race.
I guess now I can make a movie about how I was a victim of racism by thugs?

I completely understand what their trying to do with this movie, the MN trope is never ending, especially in my favorite genre (SiFi), but they need to rework the trailer to show that it's supposed to be satire. Otherwise no black people are going to pay money to see it. I was VERY confused watching the trailer because it didn't read as satire, and the thought of a plot like that being non satirical and a romcon just seems gross. lmbao
