    Love your videos! They give me the courage to just forge ahead and not to baby my succulents and cacti too much. They also help me realize that sometimes $hit happens and they give up the ghost and I shouldn't beat myself up....just salvage what I can & move forward.

    Laura, you mentioned fertilizing your plants in a recent previous video. I'd be interested in knowing about your watering schedule, how much water you apply and what fertilizer you use and how much you use on your plants. Thanks as always Laura! I love your videos!

    That looks like a Peruvian apple cactus..I brought one from SoCal 26 years ago to Henderson NV and it now has multiple branches, and is over over 10 feet tall. The flowers are beautiful, coming out at night and only last for 24 to 36 hours..

    thank you so much for your inspiration. I haven't been feeling much like gardening lately but this and your other videos motivated me to get back out again. I potted two agave attenuatas variegatas that were gifted to me and sitting in the shade for weeks and reworked 3 other pots thanks to you.🎉

    Vermiculite hold moisture. Perlite let's soil drain. Sand, retains moisture.

    I wondered if it was a San Pedro… but I don’t personally have one to compare it with. I do have an orange apple cactus, but they have noticeably skinnier ribs.

    First time here and I enjoyed the whole video. I just hope you take it as constructive criticism and nothing else, when you refer to dirt as media in your pots you should refer to it as soil, dirt is what we carry under our shoes. Keep the great work

    Gravel won't help to dry it out, it help conserve moisture in the soil. Should use perlite and clean sand.

    It’s not a Mexican fence post or Domino.
    I’m almost certain it’s a Peruvian Apple. (Cereus Repandus) They bloom at night. Happy to be corrected.

    Watch GARY MATSUOKA - Laguna Hills Nursery He says...SOIL CONTAINS NO COMPOST - PLANTS / ROOTS ROTT IN COMPOST - which is most definitely in this Substrate Mix ! I assume its even worse for Cacti & Succulents !

    How would succulents do with fire glass in the Central Valley with over 100 degree heat???

    • @LauraEubanks
      @LauraEubanks  Месяц назад

      Fire glass that’s been treated to withstand high heat would work.
      I’d stick with light colored stone, though.
