Im a 5 BC player and this is a really solid video for “beginners” just everyone remember that some of these things change when getting on higher bosscells like how careful you have to be and the mutations specifically, love the content tho :)
I agree! i always have fun playing with it. And it really provides great utility against mobs! My favorite is using wave of denial in ramparts to push mobs on edges for a one hit kill lol. That said, it is a relatively useless skill against bosses. The only time I ever successfully integrated it on my build against bosses is against HotK, to deflect those mini bombs. Still a fun skill to use though :D
To be honest, when i use tatics i prefer to pick up my turrets using the homonculus rune and destroy every single enemy with my turrets from far away without taking a single damage, when i am against bosses i use 2 turrets and keep evading every attack(i normally used something to freeze an enemy,a bow and 2 turrets, now i use an freezing weapon/ability with a shield and 2 turrets (sorry for the bad english,i don't practice it that much
I love using acrobatipack with Hokuto's bow stored in it and then just doing DoT with status effects. See that health bar melt while you just have to make sure you dont get hit.
One thing worth noting with the electric whip buff is that they now have affixes that give damage boosts to the shock effect. If you have a build like this the electric whip is pretty viable against bosses.
I have to agree that building around the owl is its complete different thing, I quite often end up getting the rampart shield for that brief parry invincibility period because quite frankly, I tend to get hit way more often due to me missrolling than missing a parry, find your own build that suits you the most, I play around the own with rampart and the spartan shoe if possible, it may not be strong on ts own but the spartan shoe is not exactly meant to be a boss killer, it´s a trash (mob) killer with its knockback, knock to wall damage and enemey fall damage
i got my second boss cell today, with an infantry bow, colorless cudgel, a heavy turret and a double crossb-o-matic edit: it was in mobile btw so 1.1 version. i was still playing with a controller though
I just bought dead cells on Nintendo switch, and your videos help me to understand the deferent type of builds, you have a new subscriber now :D, and I hop your channel grow more because you upload a really nice content and with good quality, keep it up.
I just started recently and got stuck at 1BC for a while, but with my trusty quickbow I + ; aspect was poison on damage. I just wrecked the shit out of everything and even got the achivement for the Concierge no hit.
I remember when the lightning whip was absolute garbage. I'm always surprised at how solid it is now. The Quick Bow is my absolute favorite bow - the stream of dings is just too satisfying. I just wish the ones I find had a bit more damage...
omg, thanks so much for these dead cells videos I have been addicted to this game around 300 runs right now I'm struggling with the hand of the king and all the videos I found so far have been outdated since the 1.9 update thanks for all the tips
I don't want to be rude but, are you saying they you have 300 runs and haven't beaten the hand of the king yet? I felt cool after beating the hand of the king on my 3rd run but I didn't know I was that far above average.
@@SkipMcLazy The main reason why I wasn't sure was I had a friend over to try dead cells. I can't remember how many times it took him but he beat the game before he left. He got a legendary thunder shield and won. Speaking of which is there somethings special with the thunder shield? I don't remember unlocking it but he was able to get it. I checked and I don't seem to have it unlocked. and out of my over 300 runs I have only seen it the one time my friend got it on my switch. I've tried to ask a bunch of people about the thunder shield but I usually get no replies so I was really curious. (By seen it I mean on my switch, I have seen it online)
@@Boomerkbom57 thunder shield you only get on 5BC and is OP AF. Legendary pulls from the entire weapon pool, so getting it early game is extremely lucky!
Thanks for the videos. I am just starting and looking for something helps the beginner. I am lost on what Mutations to take when just starting. I also found that if I get to that area I locked out of finishing up the first area. It is all getting a bit confusing.
I just got into the game and I had to stop watching three different streams because literally all they would do is run electric whip with tonic every time they found them. E whip needs a nerd, I just saw a guy kill hand of the king first try with it after starting the game like 3 hours ago and I had to quit watching his stream after that because it was obvious he was going to pick it up constantly, so boring
I actually got my first boss cell using the electric whip + The frost staff (idk the english name) so It is very viable if you can get some synergy from your traps (like extra damage to electrified targets)
Ok so tatics. Theres only one build you'll ever really need. Poison damage over time. Get the alchemic carbine and the parry shield. On top of that some turrets that do extra dammage on poison enemies. Or for bosses a wolf trap. It works well, even at 3-5 boss cells
Probably not. There are already a lot of good 5bc videos out there. Besides, I'm only at 3bc myself. While I love Dead Cells, I don't spend the time grinding out runs to get to the higher levels.
I just made it to the hand of the king for the first time with 2 bc with a tactics build. The run itself was very smooth but the hand of the king destroyed me in seconds because his arena is so small and there was no room for me to hide :(
Idk why first time i played dead cells months ago i beat the hand of the king on like my 4th playthrough But i got it again a week ago im on like my 25th playthrough and i still cant beat him
Dead cells noob/new fan here…What does BC mean? Loving the game but damn it’s brutal. I smashed through hades and beat the game multiple times and caught on fairly quickly, but this one is more intimidating, and seems to be kicking my ass a bit more, but it definitely has that feel to it, that makes the defeats not feel tedious and has me ready to jump right back in and try a new build and see what unlocks we will achieve
Speaking from the future here, been playing for about a week, I JUST beat 1bc, and for both this one and the previous, I used the electric whip, which I absolutely adore. For 1bc, I found a completely cheese build, with the Ice Bow, corrosive cloud, and wings of the crow. Honestly, wings of the crow seems kind of broken, because I was using it to get above the Hand's head, and for the most part,he wasn't attacking at all due to me not being on the ground. Combine that with corrosive cloud and hitting him with my whip (with appropriate modifiers), I was able to completely cheese him. Now, I know that the difficulty really spikes from 1 to 2, so I'm going to see how long this holds up 😄
I'm... confused. You mentioned that some blueprint is hidden to the left of where you start or on the right of stilt village... isn't that unreliable info? This is a Roguelike, so the areas are randomized, right?
You have to get used to how much damage he takes before he does the red aura. Then it's a matter of being far away from him. Alternately, try wolf traps. Those can root him and he can't walk towards you when he does it.
well no actually my first ever time i played the game (at least as far as i remember) i picked up the shield and started parrying left right and center i didn't even use the roll (or whatever it's called) xD just parrying seamed better now i am at 2 bc (after knowing i should use the dodge and take my time and stay at 1 scroll type (except in the first area i used to get the timed doors then stopped then now when i see that i work get the kill streak and got the 2 scrolls of power and found the area i want i just get for the timed doors)) which happened a lot yesterday xD what these are a lot of words

Y’all might wanna look for the Wave of Denial when using the tactic build, it’s a pretty good tactic power :D
Yeah. Just change it on the boss levels :)

Valmont whip. Maybe a nod to the Belmont family from Castlevania!
I don't know why I didn't make that connection. Totally.
Lots of easter eggs.
It is :)
It's totally a Belmont whip. With the plot twist : it's actually bought from Walmart.
Valmont is the music composer of the game.

Just watched your series. Thanks so much
Lol the build at the start of the video is the same build I’ve been using except I use quick bow instead of parry shield
I died at 1:40 when he didnt sell the turkey
Electic whip op as hell, just add a freeze blast and parting gift whenever you kill an enemy and you're untouchable lol.
I got my first hand of the king kill with a tactics build so would recommend
Quick bow is my favorite too.
i love how there are not much spoilers

It may seem obvious but, Turrets are your bestfriend for tactics
Especially that penetrates all enemies for a easy clear
I somehow managed to beat the hand of the king on my tenth run being carried by the electric whip

@@aeriagloris4211 I don't think it needs nerfing since it won't really scale that well in later boss cells
i have a build
rate it
Electric whip (deals 70% mode ramage to poisoned enemys)
tripple shot bow thing (every arrow explodes into a poison cloud)
That'll be a fun way to clear through the biomes. The bosses will be slow though without a crit condition, but not impossible
