Reminds me of when the teleport mage , with a giga saw wand, teleported out of literally nowhere and fired the wand twice killing both me and himself. The whole ordeal occured in about 2 seconds or less so I had zero time to react lol.
Two issues an ungodly non-streamer might want to consider if they're in a similar situation as this run. 1) If you have a lot of health, consider getting the health pick up after you've killed Steve instead of right when you enter the temple. That way you can still leave with full health even if you take damage from fighting him. 2) While acid is OP to the boss, that tentacle wand can 1-shot the boss before he even fully spawns and ignores its shields.
3:50 If you kick those hand statues with a telekinetic kick (or just a regular kick, no idea, but I did it with a telekinetic), it will spawn a weird creature with floating hands IIRC. It was a while ago and I was (and still am) very bad at this game but I thought I'd say this in case the one person who finds this comment doesn't know about it.

The best part about the 1.0 update by far; The performance upgrade. No longer does an OP wand(like the blue scepter from the top of the tower biome) + Multicast + literally any spells cause my computer to go into processor hell at a rate of 1 frame every 9 seconds. But the chaos dice is also a hilarious touch, especially with how frequently it would spawn exploding mushroom boys on me.
I like that they replaced the white screen transition with black ones when entering throught portals to holly mountains. it is much less aggressive for the eyes when looking at late at night
Plates on the wall of the Holy Mountain shop area. They will display sequence of spells when you activate a wand near them. Helps to check if spells in your wand do interact as expected.
That whole thing about the cryptic high scores was pretty interesting. I really love when devs do stuff like that and those people who manage to see a message like that actually go with it. Really cool, hats off to the devs and those data detectives!

im new to noita, and i just got to the 6th layer for the first time? it's the one after the jungle i think, or after that. and now i see you just casually blast through all the things without any effort, lol
That concentrated mana potion trick is an example of what I love the most with Noita - there are all these things to explore and discover in the game mechanics, things that the game doesn't tell you and you just have to figure out yourself by experimenting. I can't remember really seeing that in a game latelly. edit: I hope you don't mind that I'm not going to watch the rest of the video. I just like figuring these things out for myself most of the time :p . But great video so far :)
I've been sleeping on this game for a while. I bought it when it was first released in early access, because I thought it looked interesting played it for a bit then didn't touch it until now. Been loving it. Its like a toy you pick up and just see what it does and how to break it. Its so much fun :D
Hey here's something you probably already know related to concentrated mana. If a pixel of it enters water and you mix it the water gets turned into concentrated mana. it works the same as toxic sludge being turned into water. This way you can keep a larger supply of it in those tanks of water found in the mines.
About the hand looking stone. You can kick it and it turns into an enemy it shoots 2 green-ball projectiles at you (they are pretty easy to dodge) an also it has two stones levitating arround it with work as shields
Just think, any and every single spell you use and any or every potion can be useful for something. That's one thing I love about this game... besides the absolutely seemingly endless exploration. Like beating the "final boss" for me just seemed like one minor little new thing compared to everything else that there is to explore.
Really cool update. I would love to see some more biomes for a bit of a longer game though. It also killed me because they had to reset my speedrun time for the 1.0 release

Fire is so deadly when you dont guarantee to start with a water flask, lol. Also, surprisingly most spell/park adding mods actually still work. But best not to enable enemies / biome change mods yet.

That seed was very fun. There was a nuke that you could find pretty early on and also you could get some really nice wands. But why did you throw that exlposion wand out? It was one of the best combination with the explosion immunity
In your tips and tutorial videos, can you please use a mod that shows x and y coordinates of the player? If you had done so in this video, we could easily find the location of that cave near the cloudscape or that broken wand repairing machine.
It's a good idea for other videos, sure, though I've already recorded basically all the footage for my upcoming 10 or so more videos! For *this* video, I purposely left out the information about where exactly to find the gourd cave because this video is sponsored by the devs themselves and I thought it would be in bad taste to spoil too much in it.
In all the video i've seen, nobody notice that where you buy wand or spell in the holy mountain, in the background you can see like squares that show you the spell that trigger when you shoot with a wand.

had a godlike run today, wanted to explore the overworld after clearing the ice cave, well found out there is a boss at the exit and yeah things went downhill really fast

Fun fact: Collecting the Orb across the volcanic lake (the one that used to collapse a passage and spawn random enemies/sheep) now summons the miniboss Sauvojen Tuntija (Collector of Wands). I don't want to spoil what it does, just know that it kicked my ass multiple times.
Pre-1.0 they used to also be incredibly deadly if you weren't careful because the boss had a different shield that would collect your projectiles within it. Your tentacles could actually pull your own attacks back at you and either out-right kill you, or fling you into the lava. For this video, I figured it was better to be safe than sorry since *acid is the most effective thing against the boss* - I've speedrun this game thousands of times and have held world-records in the early-access version, so killing the boss quickly and easily is something I know a lot about. But, yes, tentacles are much safer to use against the boss now, unless you have a certain amount of orbs.
@@FuryForged ah. I've only beat the boss once with each of these techinques so you have *a lot* more experience. My preference comes from the fact that I don't need to wait for the boss to drop its shield so I can instantly spam 1 or 2 attacks and kill it in a couple seconds. But I've beat the game only 4 times so yeah, I trust you on this

Would you recommend taking your times on runs or just kinda go at a faster pace, because you got a hell of a lot farther than I usually do and you were moving fast lol
I recommend a bit of each. Risk evaluation is important. Take your time moving through the levels while being cautious and finding everything you can. But if you get to below 50 health, you should just go straight to the next level and not risk a stupid death.
As for me the most important change ist that now you can find more variety of wands on the first location and that green flyin' boi is now can be killed with 3 shots of spark bolts. Also i like random loadout but i hate random flasks.I might just be set on fire and not be able to put it out.

Most people think it got *harder*, since fire is a lot more difficult to put out, you don't start with a water flask all the time (easily remedied) and stains all drop faster. It all just depends on the seed though.

Twitch chat killed me in such a *legendary* way the other day: I was at the BOSS room, almost finished with a run, and they were like: “hey, wait, we’re all voting for ‘remove liquids’ to get rid of the lava so you can explore!” And I was like “excellent!” I should have known better... The countdown: 3...2...1... And the *ground* disappears and I fall, helplessly into the lava and die. They had voted for “remove ground” instead...

5:02 took me almost an hour to safely navigate this biome and he's just taking a stroll right through it.

I noticed that the game is quite a bit easier; you get better wands and there are more useful perks. Very good regardless

The project tiles haven't really been phasing through me when i use it including the fire perk i still catch fire now and get damaged from it!

Twitch chat killed me in such a *legendary* way the other day: I was at the BOSS room, almost finished with a run, and they were like: “hey, wait, we’re all voting for ‘remove liquids’ to get rid of the lava so you can explore!” And I was like “excellent!”
I should have known better...
The countdown: 3...2...1...
And the *ground* disappears and I fall, helplessly into the lava and die.
They had voted for “remove ground” instead...
