I have a lot of family buried there at Oak Hill. My son is buried in Santa Clara, at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery. Oak Hill wanted almost $20 thousand to have my son buried there, they only would hold it for 5 days, but Santa Clara Mission Cemetery holds it for 30 days and only cost $12,635 to bury my son. I couldn't get life insurance for my son because he had a life threatening illness. I was very blessed to afford his services. I wish i could've buried him at Oak Hill because its such a beautiful Cemetery. 😔
I'm so sorry about your son. He was blessed to have a loving mother. I go to Oak Hill sometimes. Maybe I'll visit that cemetery in Santa Clara and think about your son.
Great tour! I spend a lot of time in that Mausoleum (all of Oak Hill really) taking pictures - was there today in fact. Never go on a weekend if you can avoid it :-)
a building that size with so many corpses may require air freshening occasionally especially when it really hot. I'm not surprised to see a glade plugged in there. this place reminds me of the phantasm movie all that's missing is the tall man and the flying silver balls.
My grandma is near by on the left when you go outside. I remember when me and my mom used to visit we would go inside the mausoleum and she would give me 10 dollars to go to the top sometimes I would do it but sometimes I’d get to scared I’m gonna go back this weekend to visit it looks beautiful now
The place is beautiful and I like the respect, neatness and cleanliness that is evident throughout the mausoleum. I guess the people who rest there come from wealthy families, I don't think it's affordable for everyone. Good video !!
Gr8 video thank you. I would luv a trip to the States just to go see the cemeteries. They are so opulent. Its a rather peaceful tho eerie here n there. Out of interest are the urns space paid up front for life or do they carry a lease agreement.....Peace n luv 2 everyone, from the land down under x
My Grandma & Grandpa are interred inside that Mausoleum on Top of the hill… (2015 & 2021 were there years of passing) My Grandma told me that she bought the 2 crypts (side by side) for her and my Grandpa back in 1986 or 1985…And I remember her telling me that even back then it was expensive to buy inside that mausoleum. I’m Not sure if there is even available crypt spaces today….
I love your tour Tony, this place is BEAUTIFUL. I remember the name Paul Masson. I do not know if you are old enough, but I remember commercials, from I believe the 1970's, where a spokesman would say, that Paul Masson would sell no wine before its time. I think the spokesman was Orson Welles, but I might be mistaken. Thank you very much for another great tour, and video Tony. Take care.
There's nothing spooky about it at all but it has a lot of history that she people come from different countries I think they got their parents body and put them there if they didn't have a spot in the family settled in that town so it's pretty cool that there's a lot of stone around the body and they have their own corner with the gate.
My mom and my brother they have a glass door and there's like one more spot left for my older brother to be but it's kind of cool but she's in this building on top of the hill
Only one way in and windows are all stained glass not a lot of ventilation so we want it to smell fresh. It’s not to cover up a smell or anything. Just a very old building.
I like the urns to have their own window that is soo cool

Can't help but notice "Texas" 11:17 😌 18:08 To think he would be a strapping 20 year old young man today. Poor baby. 😢
I love that they have the spots for urns with stained glass behind! You always visit amazing mausoleums and spaces. Good work, Tony!
Thank you so much brother that means a lot.
Hi Matt😊
California has everything beautiful, that's where I should be put to rest.
Nice to see a well maintained Mauseleum rather than an abandoned and neglected one. The Glade plug in and fans are a bit of a worry
Thanks for going there filming it has good memories you needed a good job

My mother is interred in the mausoleum. I was there a few days ago to visit her with my daughter. Very lovely place, quiet.

Appreciate you sharing this,Tony🪦🕊💜 Super epic! Very impressive stained glass😍
It’s haunted! I worked there for over 7 years. Go in AM door locked you would hear singing and then it just stop
How creepy! Did anything else happen?
Yes in main building working late at night. See someone walk into a room and no one there. I’m a believer
@@prisillamendoza3808 I know exactly what you're talking about! My house has a ghost
@@prisillamendoza3808 wow. We should talk

The Mcglency. Family murder, is crazy too. Vengeance is Mine. Almost hidden grave out in the cemetery.

I will be 50 years old this year I do remember
@@CryptDoor Thank you very much for getting back to me. Let me wish
you an early happy birthday. You are looking great for 50, if I may say so.

I always wanted to be in the area where you walking at and I wish I walked up those stairs
I believe they took their family or parents from another state replace and put them inside there while the prices were cheap
only thing I know San Jose...largest Swap Meet n Winchester Mason...lol
what’s that table at the end of the hallway called? never noticed that before
Great tour again Tony. Is it very close to the Airport by any chance?😁
Yes it’s on the approach to the San Jose airport
The dread like visitors
Oak Hill Cemetery was founded in 1847
Think those guys were hanged in St. James Park.
Can you go to the cemetery on Alum Rock please
Is that Calvary Catholic Cemetery?
The empty spaces are probably those who couldn't afford the rent
How many people
Not sure, but a lot
do you work at a car dealer that sticker is always on the window lol
Lol no still haven’t gotten around to taking it off hahaha
All the money that funeral place gets this should not be any lack of lifhting
guess who was in san jose on sunday??? 🙋♀️
What!?? You should have contacted me you could’ve came along.
@@CryptDoor oh that would have been awesome!
really ??? You wonder about the air freshener ?
No it was kind of my smart ass sense of humor I know the reason.
@@CryptDoor I thought mausoleums were required to provide good air ventilation, so
that air fresheners would not be
needed. Or am I mistaken?
