There is a stigma with Christian believers and other Abrahamic faith believers that you are somehow lost and confused if you don't accept the written beliefs of their faith. Folks can be very spiritual and have connections with spiritual beings without accepting written words from an organized religion. The Ten Commandments are more of a spiritual realization than a cognitive set of rules to follow. That they would need a written word, tells the story of a people that are not in alignment with their spirit. When it goes cognitive, it becomes more like narcism. When they claim they believe and trust in god and their actions spells otherwise. The narcissist needs written words or examples to follow because they lack the empathy of the spiritual being. That is not to say that the spiritual being is perfect. They can become derailed for a moment as any Christian can. Forgiveness is not a path one must follow. Rather, forgiveness is the awoken path being followed.
Yeah, I definitely agree with what you are saying. So much hypocrisy in church and around the so-called believers. With that said - many are lost and it's simply a matter of looking for the truth yourself, rather than just getting this so-called truth handed to you. Not in this world. What you said is how I came to my truth. Growing up we were forced to attend church, while the people that went to church drank, partied, abused and faught each other, etc. You can only find God through experience and I would say a lot of pain. It's a matter of wanting it. You very quickly or not so quickly learn that sinning is harmful to yourself even if it brings temp pleasure. I've rebelled and lost myself along the way and later discovered that a pure/innocent life is the only life worth living. And you best believe that all of us make mistakes and still draw the wrong conclusions, etc. It's just we listen now and we allow the Holy spirit to correct us, rather than just brushing it off and continuing.
