Is This The SICKEST Call Of All Time? [$25,000 Poker Tournament]

- Опубликовано: 23 май 2023
- Bin Weng has fired multiple bullets at this $25k high roller poker game, and is now faced with a big decision for his tournament life. He's up against Alex Foxen, one of the most elite tournament players in the game.

I’ll save my praise of the play and analysis for another comment. This one is just here to say that if Doug trolled us and Bin just snap folded the river, that would have been hilarious.
Lots of history between these 2 lately. Bin knows how Foxen plays. Great call, no wonder Bin makes back to back WPT FT coming up in Vegas💪🏻
Congratulations Bin
Bin was running like a machine in this tournament, stone read Doug to his exact holding later in the show. Sadly for Bin, Alex rebought and won the whole shabang after this hand.
Freezeouts >
@@Weirdeyes8 indeed
Idk about sad.......... making terrible calls like this is bound to catch up with you
did bin at least cash or run deep? havent followed the tournament
@@MrJoosebawkz pretty sure he got second if I’m remembering correctly.
Would love to see more tournament analysis...
Since i play almost only MTTs i really enjoy the tournament content.
This was so damn sick. The fact that Alex came back to take this down after this hand is even sicker.
Yeah lol Alex won this one HAHAHA
I’ve been in Bin’s shoes on the river (or at least somewhat similar situations in MTTs) several times, and I’ve never heroed that light in those spots. Really impressive call. Actually I think both players were just simply great here. Thanks for sharing with the great analysis, Doug.
Well I’m assuming that’s because it’s an awful call and you’re not bad enough to make it.
If you start doing it too often it becomes addicting. The "wow" he got is a straight dopamine hit.
@@TheTree1 considering Bin has over 4.6 million in live cashes over the last six years all from NLHE tournaments (per Hendon Mob), I think it’s safe to say that he’s better than most of us (and definitely me) in NLHE MTTs. I think he read that Foxen’s line didn’t make the most sense, and knows he’s a good enough player to pull that kind of bluff when he thinks his opponent is at the bottom of their range. I’ve heroed plenty of times in tournaments, and my recollection is that I’m right more often than not (take that with as big a grain of salt as you like), but I don’t think I make the call Bin does here ever in this spot.
@@TheTree1 It's not an awfull call. It is live game and I think it might go over your head. The way those two look at each other and react makes it very obvious that they both have advanced reads. Against a random player in an online pot it would be bad. But I think its save to say that Bin knows that, hence his reaction :D
@@kilianbauer3942 no its just a monkey throwing 💩
Geeze Foxen is yolked! Also Doug in the background talking about himself is funny 🤣
Look at his hands/fingers shaking at 15:29 lol. That adrenaline rush must have been insane
I don't see any shaking at all. He is even smoothly shoveling those chips before calling
@@CARPital You must be blind.
@@CARPital - you didn't go to my stamp then lmao. This is after the hand is over bub. Not when he's calling
I dont see it either
Nope, bro was fkn ice
Please can you tell us more about your fan interactions? Perhaps you can do an entire series on it.
One of the sickest calls you will ever see given the players/stakes
Thanks Doug for getting me back into poker. This game is a great social analog to the loneliness chess can be.
Silent figures on checkered plains,
Strategic minds dance in strains.
Each piece moved, a whisper's plea,
In solitude, the board holds key.
Loneliness crowned, in kings we trust.
@@chiefcheeser bruh u actually wrote this cringe 🤣🤣
@@chiefcheeserbeautiful. But is the s in strains necessary ?
@@BarvGwydh Sad, find help
@@Just_Pele I'm 14 and this poem is deep 😭😂
More impressed by Foxen. Dude is a machine and knows exactly where his opponents are at. Just didnt work this time.
He also runs super good that helps alot you don't win as many tournaments as he has taking bad beats and not sucking out
he didn't seem to know where his opponent was in that hand, lol.
That 'Foxen stare' can be real unsettling sometimes.
@@Lou-Meatskavitch Majority of people probably fold there. Was just a great call.
@Lou Meatskavitch he knew where he was at, a draw.
I love the commentator at the end "MAKES THE CALL.......ARE YOU KIDDING ME !!!!' LOL, funny
Hey Doug many people would like to see you fight Charlie carrel, what do you think? 3x 3 minute rounds of MMA. Charlie was suggesting it a few weeks ago
I'd pay to watch that
@@cicatrace me too 🥳
This is an obvoius don´t re-enter spot after a sick call like that. The fact that he did, and focking won it all, man that´s shows some mental strength, confidence and ability.
This video was simply for Doug to plug The Lodge... And I enjoyed it
The really sick part is he blocks diamonds... what a legendary call. Its makes sense in a 3b pot to call down some percentage of the time with A high on a board like this, but to block the bluffs... sick call.
Was waiting to hear your thoughts on this one
sick call, Bin is actually a beast in poker. Able to call yr hand etc, He a boss for sure at the tables
Yup, glad he’s been taking his show on the road bc we’re tired of him winning everything in Philly 😆
Not a better feeling in poker when you make the right hero call!
Editor was slippin on this one
Lol see how he wanted to get a reaction out of him with that smile and stare down after he left funny that he comes back and wins the tournament
Having played with Foxen this is what makes him so deadly and hard to play against. He could easily have JJ there or QJ or literally anything. The dude is an animal and such a great player.
While I'm sure this is a fold on the solvers and vs most people, against Foxen it's literally a coin flip. Pretty sick call imo
Not a coin flip at all I'd say most times there foxen will have value he just got lucky he picked him off this time but simple fold when you lose to allot of bluffs its time to pitch them back to the dealer... easy fold terrible call got lucky as shit.
How often does Foxen check call the river with good hands to induce bluffs
@@nategordon8127”most times he will have value” lol have you not seen Foxen play? Dude is aggro af, he’s also very well balanced and will almost always have an appropriate amount of bluffs in a given line
love seeing the name Garrett on the post thing in the background.
Hey Doug, I think you should incorporate the word “like” more in your day-to-day conversations! I don’t think he use it enough!
Best comment ever. "Is that good for the show?" 😂😂😂
Gawd Foxen is just jacked! Intimidating look always.
Sus.
Damn... I need to hear the interview of Ben after that call.. insane!!
I love how doug shows a hand and then shows it again to talk about it, in no way a total waste of time and I'am sure helps his stats when people are just skipping ahead in the video.
Either way, great jorb.
Doug's table talk on the flop reminds me that.... He's on the outs 😂
been watching for years. Swear @15:30 worked on me. I subbed.
That dude was pissed!! but he remembered to take his trash out🤣🤣🤣
bin wang is one of the best to ever grace the felt!!!! let's GO
Doug how much fun do you have making these and the sales pitches that are purposefully corny?? Lol i love them. The whole well that’s all we have mainly cash but sometimes tournaments. 😆
I felt Alex Foxen's soul spirit away after realizing it was an ace high call.
Bin is an old friend of mine, so psyched to seem him make the big time
God, I wish to have at least one ball like his someday..
Whose ball ?
@@Galaxy-ez8mh, Bin has 2 big balls.
I subscribed! Thank you :)
Not as good as when that Torelli thing found the call with Jacks against that Polk guy with two overs on the board at the original LATB.
Lol. That was a sick call.
People just love bluff catching on paired boards.. especially one that has cards they’re unlikely to have hit. In fact … I’d say it’s probably the most common bluff catch spot in all of poker
Easier said than done.
Both played that hand like some bosses.
Would KK no diamond always value jam the river? I think often yes but sometimes Im checking that river to confidently bluff catch missed diamonds/hearts
No call during the registration phase of a tournament could literally ever be "the sickest call of all time", sorry Doug. Too many fast and loose plays literally all the time when rebuys are allowed, even by the top pros (Negreanu, Ivey, Bonomo, pretty much every pro an amateur could think of except for Hellmuth plays much looser when there are still rebuys available, not because they don't care but because in their estimation it's more optimal to be hyper-aggressive to build a stack early. Whereas I think Hellmuth and some of the guys that came from online are insistent on playing their best poker at any time).
If this were a cash game, it'd be pretty sick. But to be the sickest call of all time, this would probably have to have occurred on the bubble of the tournament, which it obviously didn't. Once you're in the money, most people (but obviously not everyone) start playing a bit looser again.
you don't know what you're commenting on, not really another way to put it or an elaboration to give, just dunno why people who aren't winning players feel the need to make confident assertions
It’s a valid opinion though. But it shouldn’t take from a call of only Ace high. Crazy. Registration phase, players do tend to play looser and is a variable that wasn’t mentioned in the video.
We want to see more of Xuan 😀
Doug, great stuff, ❤
I dont think any solver calculates the "Is that a good enough call for a video" punt
Don’t worry Doug I’ve been subscribed since the beginning. When more rake was better. When you were still in with the poker circle. When your name was Vanessa and you wore tank tops daily. When it was just called poker hands, and polker hands was an original idea. And most importantly, when you first built your bankroll from $100 to $10,000!
Doug commentates during his own games too
sick call
Very nice breakdown
haha, love 💕 the last five seconds! 😂 @15:46
There's no way I could have called in that position. In my mind, I would realize everything beats me even a lowly pair let alone the chance he had a 3 and slow played it...I guess that's why I suck at poker LOL
I thought my headphones died at the beginning of the video lol
Theres no way Alex isnt rebuying after this one. He’s out for blood and you can see it on his face as he gets up. Ego is a thing in poker after all.
I couldn't find the turn call.
Does A7 really have that much showdown value in this situation?
Nfd is an easy call
What a CALL !!! 👏👏👏
Unbelievable no wonder why his crushing every tournament he plays
The audacity to not call the j 4 call robbi vs garret the best call of all time
make a video about your Q high call please!
What is monthly club fee? Yearly?
He got Wanged! Great call.
Why is Doug clearly telling me specifically to subscribe when I already am 🤔
Nothing satisfying in Poker than seeing an All-in bluffer get called 😂😂
Sick call for sure
That board was very dry with two missed flush draws. Ace high is a reasonable bluff catcher.
Yes but he double blocks the front door
lol
Sick call
we have Nik Airball that never shutups at the table.......then we have Doug 🤣
Doug ruining his own video by talking so much at the table is hilarious
Wow. If I would get called there I would seriously have to doubt my game.
Doug - might be something wrong with the audio in the first min or 2 ... gets super quiet...
Damn! Great play by Alex, but he Bin Wanged anyway.
idk - we block diamond draws, we block ace high bluffs (AQ/ AJ) - if we call with ace high that blocks his draws, what are we folding? or do we just call call call? (seems terrible) and yeah - if Alex shows up with AJcc, or AhJc or something we lose to the bluffs - anytime we lose to bluffs, terrible call
That call helps your show. Amazing
Thought my headphones went out with all the dead air
U ever play heads up 5 card plo?
Doug can we get a video on the rise of your online cash journey, WCGRider days were epic.
Don't bluff people who are likey to make hero calls too often, you're welcome. 💸💸💸
How do you know that guy makes hero calls all the time?
@@scrubfive9239 You observe and act accordingly.
Foxen took that like a champ
15:50 Garrett in the background 😮
Im MTT this is a raise on this flop every time. Especially during rebuy period. Raise and hope to get it in with a ton of equity. Just calling with this hand in mtt isnt as profitable, simply because players tend to 3bet and 4bet much wider in mtts and just taken it down on the flop is never a bad outcome. Homie can easily have a better Ace and your show down value isnt fantastic.
Doug I expected u to call out the horrific flop sizing here ? B33 seems horrifically bad
Absolutely insane! Crazy call. #english
Best part of the story: Foxen rebought, then won the tournament, beating Bin heads up.
Bro got that dawg in him fr
Why do i feel like hes asking me to subscribe? Im already subscribed! Is he that freaking good at bluffing?
I've made big calls like this where the guy ends up having something like AT. There is nothing more agonising.
Glad to see I’m not the only one who gets in deep with shite.
Surprised to see Alex Foxen give your Lodge some business after you made that video about him but i guess that guy will do anything for money.
Hi Ali, is that you?
@@DougieBarclay You arent making any sense at all
Everyone thinks this is a bad call but what about A9? Fairly similar vs Foxen's range thats either qq+ a3 or air
I’ve always thought his name was Ben and not Bin 😂
There is another rule. Don't bluff in a recreational player on a 2flush draw board ). He "puts" you on a flashdraw (even having one by himselft) and make a easy "hero" call )
15:29 hands shaking
no way. He calls river!?!?
Really wanted to hear a Matt b punt. Don't get soft on us dougy
No one can convince me ace high is a good call.
The sickest call of all time is when my doctor notified me that my sister is pregnant with my child.
Only the Don can pull that off.
If it was your daughter that you impregged you could change your screen name to pedo joe
Doug - what the hell are you doing talking during the hand? Give them a moment.
Quit nagging me doug!! I am subscribed!! That call seems outrageous to me. He even loses to better Ax that barrels, maybe he thinks he doesn’t barrel A high. I don’t know, crazy
Even though I always have to respect big hero calls, nothing is more titling when someone calls your bluff with a holding like that. Nothing
I'm dissapointed you didn't think I was subscribed Doug
Great video as always. Just some minor glitch at 15:31 you specifically talk to me and misread me for not being a sub even though I have been here since 2016 or sth.
