Bluecoats have always been my favorite corps, their shows are just so interesting to me in a way most other groups' shows have never been. Tilt got me into DCI, Kinetic Noise got me attached, Downside-Up got me invested. I'm a Bloo fan forever now, and if they have an undefeated season, it's going to be very good for this sport. One group being overly dominant is a bad thing, and the operating costs aren't doing so hot, the health of DCI is not looking great right now. But seeing another corps knocking BD down is gonna breathe new life into the sport, I think.
Atlanta really should just be called DCI Atlanta lol. Not complaining, but it would've been cool to see all the world class groups there, but half is fine.
I haven't seen a show yet in person this year. When we talk about fan favorites and crowd reaction, am I mistaken that the Troopers seem to have one of the biggest crowd reactions once again? I'd put them right up there with PR this year - and quite frankly, as much as I like the Mandarins show, I think Troopers crowd reaction is better than them and SCV. Yet, their GE score still suffers for some reason.
The fans don't always help. Think about 2019. The crowd was fully behind the bluecoats show and the BD show was not a crowd favorite but despite the hype BD seemed to get a favorable judge team and pulled out a close victory.
That's exactly what I've been saying about PR..in 2008 they finished 5th in San Antonio and from there..they closed the gaps on everyone ahead of them and definitely had the crowd willing them for their final 2-3 weeks until DCI championship week..it could happen again.. we'll see
PR might have peaked too soon. I only say this because they seem to be really young (compared to BC, BD. Boston and Crown) I believe Bluecoats have a lock on First Boston seems to have a pretty good lock on 2nd but BCD always finds another gear finals week. I think 10,11,12 is too close to call at this point. Just my opinion I maybe wrong. Feel free to disagree.

2024, devil's seems not interesting for being gold. Their show looks so stuck with no update in master summer games. So dissapointed 😢 sorry
