Troll Stein Doesn’t make a show better. I’ve been saying it a lot recently and Jacob maybe you would like to weigh in here BD had the better show from a production standpoint while BC simply did a show about The Beatles
zman I think we can all agree BC closer was pretty dirty. And the soloists at the end seemed like they would crack a couple notes each time I heard them. I knew BC lost after I watched their finals run TBH
@@Ryan-dz7mg they also overmic'd the soloists like crazy, like on the she's so heavy part the hornline by itself just sounds amazing (if you watch cam or certain rehearsal videos without the soloist you can get an idea) but they had a screeching soloist just kind of kill the ensemble
They shouldn’t have. Not at all. This show is the same show as 2017. I can imagine the next staff meeting when they decide what show comes next they’ll all be like “yeah how about we show a history of our corps and why we love winning that we only focus on our winning shows. Oh yeah also copy paste that quad and snare break we had last year”
yep! I thought so too! Again, everyone kept saying the judges would favor Bluecoats on finals night. Blue Devils is just that GREAT! Nobody does the details like the BDs!
@@Ebidle nah this barely sounds like 2017, the opener is completely different, ballad completely different sound etc, you could make that argument for 2018 because there were definite entire parts that just sounded like cringy repurposed copies, but not this year. If anything this show sounds more like ink from 2015. And trust me they're not the only one, vanguards show has similarities as well especially when looking at the brass features and the closer, and in the bluecoats show the first brass feature definitely had a 2015 feel and the second one before the ballad had a similar flow to 2013. But there's nothing wrong with that, they have certain traditions in sound but have still managed to create very new and progressive show concepts. Now there is something to be said about an obvious sub par copy but this isn't one of them
@@justinjohnson4278 exactly. their show concept in '19 was totally different than '17 imo. i think people don't think they should of won purely because of the amount of hype bluecoats had. yes, their show was really interesting, but at the end of the day it comes down to how clean their performance was. blue devils were INCREDIBLE in person
It really wasn't. I just watched the 'Coats and there were a number of things I saw/heard performed better earlier in the season. Waiting for the upload of BD Finals to make a comparison, but based on what I saw in isolation it ('Coats finals show) wasn't up to what it needed to be.
2020 hopes,. A top 5 contender does a Tool show.. Uniforms get back to basics.. Cavaliers resurrect back into the undisputed green machine and rule over a dynasty of gold medals for a decade.. Lol
Haha, their music doesn't sound hard all the time but trust me it's very demanding and forward thinking, not always the cleanest but that's why they score high in achievement.

And I also wanted to add that the fact that the audience sung Hey Jude doesn’t mean the judges will give them a higher GE score Lol
