hey from :57 -> 1:00 on the song, the snares are doing these triplets but it sounds like you are also using velocity to make them like tap tAP TAP tap tAP TAP, before it goes to just a straight snare roll to drop. were you using anything other than velocity to make it trot like that? maybe slight pitch differences or pan?
@@kwaddamage8286 oh i should have mentioned!!! i just turned the volume of some of the drum samples down. so like in a triplet using 3 drum hits i'd leave the 1st the normal volume (usually 0db) and then the 2nd and 3rd i'd bring down like -2db and then -3db or -4db so they have that movement :)

Was here for the intro. Idk I am trying to improve my actual structure so seeing detailed breakdowns of everything in the track, including the drop, is really important. You're able to sort of piece together what sound choices you made based on reference to other sounds in the song. Super helpful and insightful. Would love to see more vids.

I think its unique that Ray, barely uses any EQ. I remember, he said on another stream video, that he barely uses any EQ plugins, if any at all. I dont get it. Fox Stevenson doesnt use OTT. Akeos, barely does any post processing at all.
