I would love to see a video about common parts of foods that are wasted and what you do with them! (ex. egg yolks when a recipe calls for the whites only, ends of vegetables, etc.)!
throw all the veggie skins, ends and pieces, egg shells into the garden soil all year long.. its great natural ground food.. it doesnt have to be into a compost pile, just spead it around into your garden soil and when u til your garden in the spring, it has all decomposed into the soil.. i also throw it into the garden as its growing as extra fertilizer/food plus it gives the rabbits food to eat so they dont eat what im growing..
I love all of your recent soup recipes! This one is probably my favorite ,Im definitely making this one along with all the others.... ❤❤❤😀😀 You are an amazing cook 🍔🍔🍔🍔🍟🍟🍖
Love love love love love. This came out soooo good and fast. I made mine with chicken and low sodium stock but I "doctored" it up a bit. Thank you so much for sharing.
Looks delicious! Though, people making this recipe should note that the "wild rice" used in this recipe was actually a wild rice+regular rice blend, and that using straight wild rice will require a longer cooking time. Wild rice can take 45 minutes to an hour to fully cook, and is only fully cooked when each grain splits and looks like a butterfly. If it's not cooked long enough, the grains will be hard to chew (think chewing on dry pasta), so make sure to fully cook it for best soup results :D
Maria Lorraine probably, though the texture may change a bit and the cook time should be less (maybe in the range of 15-20 minutes for white rice instead of 30)
Hi, Sara Lynn. Your soup looks elegant, and your pink outfit is über adorable. You and Mind Over Munch have the kindest hearts. What do you love about turkey recipes? Have a good day, Sara Lynn.
Caro Lang I agree are used my pot constantly have the same one she does and I am a fanatic about cleaning my dishes when you use it a lot I don’t look that way every time it has arisen in it from cooking because you can’t scrub too hard with anything too abrasive you will take the enamel off of it and then it ain’t no good and his partner too expensive for that
You ever reach down into the sink and touch some wet rice and immediately cringe? That's what I imagine with rice in a soup. Lol, I'm sure it's a good recipe, but I'm really particular about textures I guess.

I’d add 2-3 jalapeños/any other kind of chilli to this soup. The extra heat will be really comforting for the holiday season. Love the recipe! ♥️
Akshaya Ananth Yes or you can pour in some siracha!

outsanely I was wondering about that, so it's a mixture of both rice? Can you use just white?

Can I use olive oil instead of butter? Thanks✌
Can you freeze the soup with the rice in it? Does it affect the texture of the rice? Thank you.
If you can get your hands on Minnesota wild rice, you'll never use any other. It is just so much better.
Delicious! You look lovely in pink! 🌹
I'll be making a vegan version of this for my meal prep this week! Thanks luv ;-)
Using Tramontina, a brazilian brand ❤️😃
Why does that pot always look so darn pristine when the lid comes off lol

💛💛💛💛💛💛💛
This would be good for Turkey leftovers.
What’s a good substitute for mushrooms? My grandmother’s allergic 😩
Miss_christie1217 theres not really a substitute for mushrooms but you could just leave the mushrooms out or put a different vegetable in its place
You could roast some eggplant in the oven and throw it in the soup just before serving it!
What can I use for turkey if I don't have any leftover Thanksgiving turkey? Just bake some turkey legs?
1011momara I would use chicken thighs.
Alicia Salazar thanks!
