Saved money, moved from Oakland. As a 1st time homeowner, bought a 3986 sq ft, 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath house on 3/4 acres in rural EG. My mortgage is $2,078. Please people, save! Even a little at time will get you closer to buying a home. Make your money benefit you and your family…not line a landlord’s pocket. You can do it, and you’re definitely worth it. Praise God! 🙏🏽
Atlanta is going up in price by the year ever since Covid so don’t listen to that crap about coming to Atlanta. Atlanta is becoming a Mini New York. It’s getting expensive out here as well. To live in Atlanta close to Downtown you’re going to pay $1600 - $3500 and that is not even considered Downtown. Many people are leaving Atlanta because it’s way over priced now and way over rated. You can’t even drive down here anymore without getting pissed off because not only do they have the worst drivers but the traffic on the highway most of the time on I-285, I-20 and 85 is stop and go traffic as if we have stop and go traffic lights on the freeway. Not to mention there are multiple accidents EVERY DAMN DAY. Trust me you don’t want to come to Atlanta. Back before year 2000 Atlanta was the place to be but not anymore.
I concur. I live in ATL from NY and Atlanta sucks in sooooo many ways, they have no sidewalks, the cops don’t come if you call, taxes are high, rent is high and there’s no rent stabilization like there is in NY, so your rent WILL (not may) increase dramatically each year. I’ve been here 3 years and have had a 55% total increase in my rent. At the end of this lease cycle, I’m leaving. I hate the city. Wages suck. Infrastructure sucks. Taxes are high and so is crime. Hate this place.
I live on a four bedroom, 2 bath, backyard, 2 car garage, built from the ground up, in a nice neighborhood and school district and we pay about half of that on the house note. Louisiana
The apartment was half decent, is it worth $2800? Absolutely not and that neighborhood was garbage. I don’t even go to the Bay Area anymore, too much going on.
@@mieeshac6545Jersey has entered the chat😂I feel you on that some places here want 2500 for one bedroom one bathroom and no yard😂hopefully I’m getting out of here soon and moving to Deleware, now it may be alittle cheaper although everywhere is going up but it’s definitely cheaper than jersey 😂😂and the average taxes here in jersey is around 8000 + 😮😮
I live in the bay area…. Moving soon.. i need a backyard to go with my $2800. These prices are out of control! Hows the neighborhood (asking sarcastically)
I am back on the black out paper thin curtains. They could have put up some nice drapes. I know that they do not want prospective tenants concentrating on the outside of the living space. $2,800.00 in San Diego, CA is much nicer. Maybe a tad bit smaller. But large enough to accommodate a family of four.
A long time ago my grandparents and my parents knew a lot of people that lived in Oakland and all I remember was that they lived on a hill it was nice but that was 45 yrs ago I have been to Oakland and it was oaky my husband went a lot with friends to see the raiders and baseball but we really loved San Francisco and our daughter used to live there she doesn’t anymore but she would always tell me “mom it smells like urine when you walk on the sidewalk “ I always said “it’s the city “. We were born and raised in California 🌴 northern and in the country so the city is just to much for me , but it’s sad how it’s gone downhill I hope it changes soon and $2800 for that apartment is ROBBERY and I don’t see any VENTS does this apartment have CENTRAL HEAT AND AIR ?
It's California. I pay $842 a month to rent a room in San Diego, CA. The two year rent increase will happen in September. That will increase my room rent to $920.
Wtf???? 2800 a MONTH????? In THAT neighborhood???? Bruh, 2800 per month here in Birmingham, Alabama would put u in a 3 or 4 bedroom house in a gated community outside the inner city. Bruh, this is RIDICULOUS.

property tax about to get ya dawg
Property taxes, home repairs. Some peoples mortgage payments are becoming unaffordable due to insurance rates skyrocketing.
Which suburb
I love how you walked through the neighborhood first before showing the apartment to grasp the whole concept awesome
And you can only get that apt if you have excellent credit score 💳 😂😂😂
That's almost 3 grand a month!! Mind you that's only one bill
Nice &1200 apartment. Your paying $1600 for the weather.
That's a Mortgage

Atlanta is rainbow 🌈. I wouldn't move there even if rent was cheap. Everybody there talk too much. Wannabe famous for nothing.
@@TheRealSahLenceWill you go back to NYC

Yea but you’re in Louisiana tho.
Louisiana is boring af, what u do jn ur free time ?
What is minimum wage in your area tho?
The inside is very decent.
Decent until the Rats and Roaches come out.

The devil is the biggest liar, ain’t no way.
Wait a minute you paying for 2800 to live in a 3rd world country? WTF is going on.
I love Oakland! Born and raised.
You could come to Atlanta and have a 5 bedroom house in a nice part of town easily. And have abt 200 left for bud 🤣
Don't come to Atlanta.

No central heat and air? Entirely overpriced.
Nice but not worth that amount of money.
Well, to not bleed out the OIakland resident this apartment in NYC is $4k+.

Huh. And San Diego beats Oakland as a place to live, hands down.
Well worth it.👍
That place looks like a dump outside and the inside is not worth that much.
