This piece came out BEAUTIFUL!! Those old 70s pieces always remind me of those Christopher Lee Dracula movies. SO DRAMATIC 😂 Amazing transformation.

I love that malachite interior. Gorgeous! I use my fingers with Rub n Buff, too... it's just easier for me to control. I need to pay you to figure out how to make all my electronics and wires in my work-from-home setup look better. Love your aesthetic!

This is such a fantastic video! I love how you used the skull molds and air-dry clay! Genius! I will definitely be using that idea on projects in the future. Thank you for the inspiration. 🖤

Your color combination came out gorgeous! Very well executed. It looks a lot better than it did when it was new, and I'm old enough to know. I have long thought that old Mediterranean and French Provincial style furniture would benefit from a goth makeover and I am happy to see I was right! I hate when people take antique carved wood furniture and paint it, but this had a plastic and fake wood finish so it isn't the bad kind of sacrilege, LOL

Thank you! I'm actually colorblind so I was taking a bit of a risk here with the paint. Glad to know I made a good call with it 😄

Great job! That is so beautiful! I’m currently renovating a bathroom in a mix of dark academia and whimsy goth and doing a LOT of black surfaces. Here’s something that I found out while pricing black finishes-one quart can of minwax true black stain when applied with a wide foam brush (which if you put the brush in a baggie with a damp napkin you can save it and reuse it for quite awhile) is SO quick and easy and that little tin of color stain lasts and lasts and LASTS. It’s unbelievable how far that one $13 dollar can goes, and it also gives the truest darkest black of any product when coated twice. I’ve done an entire bathroom, all the woodwork, all of the half wall wood panels, shelving, doors, mirror, sink vanity-you name it with a can and a half of black wood stain. So an entire bathroom for under $20. I foam brush it on, let it sit for a day, second coat it and let that dry 24 hours, and then give it a foam brush coat of polycrylic. Only problem with this method is it smells like stain in the house for a couple days and ventilation is required for safety. Also, if you need to keep a peel and stick product from peeling back up, slightly water down mod podge in a bowl and foam brush on the mod podge thinly before applying the vinyl roll product. It essentially works like wallpaper glue. I use dishwasher safe mod podge for strength/durability but you don’t have to. I used some left over wallpaper on a little lingerie chest of drawers on the top and drawer fronts and when done, I gave it a couple coats of polycrylic to seal it in.

So a tip for your skulls I might suggest if they fall off. to scuff the part touching the cabinet and the inside of your skulls and using E6000 or 2 part epoxy. Cause superglue can kinda crack off and fall off depending on the things your using. And you can easilly get cheap 2 part epoxy at dollarstores. and michaels carries E6000. Just make sure you let it offgas cause it isnt the best for your lungs.
