I made the mistake of talking to friends and family about how much money I'm saving by couponing (trying to get them to join me). So then when I tried to do an overstock sale, everyone thought my extremely cheap prices were too high.
My cousin and I had a garage sale last Thursday and Friday and we did amazing! Our only advertising was on the garage sale sites on Fb and my phone blew up all week before the sale with people wanting to come early or us to hold stuff for them it was a full time job just answering questions before the sale! Lol... Good job on your sale!
Yeah I had tons of ppl asking to hold items and I said no, they wanted me to open early and I'm no I have to work. Within 10 mins of opening ppl were going crazy

Good going, I think you guys did great. I believe your prices were great, real cheap and I'm glad you were able to get rid of that stuff. It kills me to sell that stuff so cheap but if you don't, people won't buy it. I know how much work goes into the couponing and the crap we put up with at the stores. Sometimes we do pay oop money for that stuff plus the tax and yet we practically have to give it away because people want things to be almost free. Idk but it just irks me. I'm happy for you, I seem to learn so much about you and Graham on every video. You are two very generous and giving individuals and very awesome. God bless you and your family always.

Hi Jen, when you advertised, did you call it a stockpile sale? How did you "market it" so the right crowd would look at your ads? I posted on Craig's list, next door, 1 local facebook buy/sell and did terribly. No one came. I also had garage sale signs posted but they attract a different crowd of "drive bys". I made about $200 in 3 days of yard sale and had to bring everything in at night.
I posted it in 8 different fb groups that has over 10k of ppl. I also wrote Stockpile Garage Sale and I took close up pictures of everything so they could see the prices. I posted about 10 photos and I also posted it on my personal fb page too so my friends and family could see it. We had really crappy weather but I posted it the night before it started and both days I had it
I cant remember how much I sold but I did get all of my money back on how much I have spent on the products. I just guessed on what I paid for it, some items I took a lose but made up for it in other items

Did you have anyone haggle you on your prices? They are good prices. I just wondered with the yardsale crowd. Also my sister says cleaners sale really well ie: toilet bowl cleaner, Windex, Clorox wipes etc.

We had people here waiting 20 minutes before we were to open! It was crazy, but in 1
Week we have a good start back up on our stockpile already! Lol
