And remember, Idalia moved around 100 miles to the west of Tampa and Hurricane Force wind gusts never rewatched the Tampa Bay Area. I think this just shows how much wind direction and high tide matter more than actual winds. Those Cat 4 winds caused a massive storm surge and even though the winds were weaker by the time they reached Tampa, the initial strong winds out to sea plus the onshore flow and high tide plus the Supermoon. Just devastating.

This area (South Tampa) always floods. The occupants of those homes know exactly what to expect. But due to the look of prestige and wealth, they overlook the risk to live on this strip. Stupid to me.

Lived there for 5 years. EVERY time there was a storm Bayshore would flood. It was truly just a matter of time. The city never was able to build the type of drainage system that it would need to flush out the Bay being pushed by a storm surge. Those mansion’s definitely took some flood damage. Those are houses valued at over 10 Million dollars

I’m not fat and unhealthy so warm weather don’t bother me.
My Marco Island condo has great balcony views of our marina, beach, waterways, and Gulf but it is flood and hurricane resistant with push button shutters that cover impact resistant window and surround the balconies anyways.

Lived used to live in Tampa. Yes the street would flood frequently. But it NEVER was this bad. Obviously those mansions took flood damage. It’s kinda ridiculous to think this type of flooding is common because those rich people wouldn’t live there. Tampa itself hasn’t taken a direct hit in 100 years.

    🙏Matthew 24:3-26 KJV
3 And as he (Jesus) sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Jesus is appearing soon for the Church! Titus 2:13, 1 Thessalonians 5:9, Revelation 3:10, Romans 5:9 etc.❤
