I just bought the 2024 1500 Rebel. Very happy with the truck thus far. After doing some reading about the engineering of the e-torque system I was happy to learn that one of its main functions is to seamlessly restart the engine when idling.
One or two haha. A step up from F150 Powerboost by the looks of it. Hybrid powertrain with their 3.6L as a gas generator to charge the EV battery on the fly
Excellent review of a beautiful truck! I would like to make a correction though, I have the Limited version and the handles under the rear seats are for the reclining feature. Also, the seats will go up and down without manipulating that handle as well. Great review overall though!
Thank you! Funny.. someone else had mentioned that's to recline but didn't mention the seats can go up/down without a release. Honestly I had no idea that was the case. Always great when people help make these vids better
2 things. 1. At 6:30, you mentioned this one has no Catalytic converter on it. Is that because you're in Canada or was that a custom delete? 2. How do I get it to display the Longhorn badge? The cluster badge logo is blank when enabled and selected on my 2024. Great review as well!
Dealer removed the cat because they were having an issue with theft and they get pricey to replace! Messaged on the other vid about the Longhorn badge, it should pop up automatically. There isn't really a way to reset it either so the only thing you could do is have the dealer look at it when it's in for service next to see if it's a damaged screen or something else
@@CarsWithSteve Ah ok. Would be cool if the dealers would do that hear, instead they install those anti theft shields and try and overcharge for them. Thanks for replying in other post as well. The center display window does display the other available options.
I drove one and it was so impressive. You forget its a pickup truck. I love these wheels. The nicest wheels of any truck in the US. After driving all trucks available on US soil, the new I-6 Laramie will be the one, in the coming future. Just waiting till Stellantis will drop pricing. Its way too much, at the moment.
I've seen some pretty major price drops at the dealers around me! Best bet is to wait until there's a good delivery allowance and then negotiate with the dealer to get a better sale price over and above that. Depending on which trim level you're going for there should be $1,500 - $3,500 in extra wiggle room
@@CarsWithSteve I was told to hold tight till mid Jan 25 or a bit longer. With 2K loyalty and probably more aggressive drop via Stallantis, It might be easier for me to lease the Laramie. Stellantis is loaded with cars on lots now, Close to 150 days worth of inventory. They all will need to be push out the door. They are chocking dealers to death.
Nothing wrong with waiting a bit to see if some better deals hit. If the inventory keeps sitting you'd probably be able to find a great deal on an in stock 2024
Thanks! This one didn't have the cat installed so couldn't take it for a spin but I should be in a Rebel in the next few weeks so I'll make sure to get more running footage
Youve done a very good review. I just got a Limited Longhorn and while my 2017 and 2018 GPS nav were great, my 2023 is tomtom and this is the worst nav software on earth. RAM cheaped out, whoever got this junk gps nav should be fired. Flat drug out of the building and thrown. OR, as HULK did to Loki- puny human with some attitude. So if you set a route, be using google maps or your favorite because tomtom will turn you to somewhere else. At $76,970- and a hughlighted 12" screen, the software should be AMAZING. If the truck is using software like tomtom, I dont see how it will run. Thats my gripe, the truck is very nice and the 4W AUTO is fantastic. We've had a 4.5 in snow and ice storm, below freezing over a week. 4W AUTO is like all wheel drive and thats great. Again, real nice video and thanks.
Thank you and love the Avengers reference!! I've heard that about the nav from a few people so far.. really sucks that daily users are finding it frustrating. I'm finding more people are just sticking with android auto or CarPlay and using maps on their phones instead - not ideal for an $80k truck but there aren't any other options right now
*Bed Dimensions Update*
Width between wells - 51"
Max Width - 60"

Glad you took the time to really understand that system.. it's a solid truck overall. Is it the first time that you've owned a Ram?
Nice review! I see RAM continues to make good looking trucks with some unique features you never knew you wanted at least until you have had them!
Thanks Louis! Definitely some unique features on the Ram. Have you seen the new hybrid they announced for 2025?
@@CarsWithSteve not yet, but I bet there are videos put there lol

The anti-theft shield probably makes sense if you're in a high theft area but really.. if someone wants the cat they'll find a way to get it
Hi Steve How Are You Can You Make The 2023 RAM 2500 Limited Longhorn
I've got a 2500 on the list to shoot. May not be able to until next year though

Nice thorough review. How about driving impressions?

Those backseats is not a handle underneath. That is for reclaiming the seat. I know I have a long horn Ram limited
You mean the handle that I grabbed to unlock the seat so it can be raised?
It’s for reclining the backseat. (Tilt)
