Always thought Trevor Lawrence was overrated coming out of college. With that being said, Lawrence didn’t give up near 40 points to the Bills. That team is a mess. Starts at the top with the owner Shah Khan.
As a Browns fan please allow me to try to dissuade the Jags fan from going all in on getting rid of your #1 drafted QB because of a bad season and a half to start his career. Less you end up with darker days..... such as spending 280 million dollars on a player that cannot even compete at an NFL level any longer.
It's kind of hard to throw a completed pass when your O line is so bad that you are forced to throw when you're just about flat on your back. Get the poor guy some protection!
Lawrence, "the greatest quarterback prospect of all time," was outdueled by a farmboy, junior college transfer from Firebaugh, California. Yeah, I believe Trevor is in the hot seat.
As a Jags fan since they joined the league the issue starts with Shad Khan, too much focus on flashy hires and not enough focus on team needs. It doesn’t make any sense that TB was retained and somehow the offensive line wasn’t the most important position to address first given the lack of protection that directly resulted in Trevor getting injured in multiple games yet somehow everything would be fixed in the off season…
The problem can be traced to Trevor Lawrence’s play sure, but I don’t think it’s the main issue with this team. The fact that Trent Baalke and press Taylor still had their jobs going into the season is absolutely ridiculous. The jaguars made the playoffs when Doug was calling plays, since press took over it’s been a different story. And for Trent baalke, 31/32 GM’s would’ve taken Hutchinson but baalke only looks at the physical intangibles, he saw 6’5 272 and took him. This team is a mess and I wish for them to fire the main 3 and work in the draft for the o-line
I love it when a team gets KILLED in a game, and everyone blames the quarterback. Uh.... he wasn't on the field when all those points were scored, and 10 points would win the game if their defense did THEIR job
Mike I love your vids and I want you to comment on my hot take here: Guys like Andy Dalton and Joe Flacco are still really good and are imo the top half of starting qbs. Not getting a chance because of their age is a little dumb especially since the whole point is to win. I don’t see why they can’t get chances to win like Russel Wilson and even Derek Carr does and fail. Dalton might be better than he has ever been in his career and can serve as a qb for a contending team looking to save salary for a solid supporting cast.
I'm not really savvy on the coaching at Jacksonville. But as others have brought up Darnold, are we looking at the same thing with Trevor Lawrence? It seems that we're seeing that as fast as the NFL is compared to college, except for very few QBs, that position requires more absorption time. Green Bay (as much ss I hate to admit it) seems to have it figured out. Sit your rookie QB unless you absolutely NEED to go to him. I'd say 3 years might be the right timeframe. But that's an individual player thing. I hope Lawrence gets the coaching help and supporting player help. As a Vikings guy, I'm glad Darnold has so far responded well to O'Connell. Some think he'll just revert back but I don't think he'll be allowed to. Levis at Tennessee looks like he is in a similar situation. Thrown to the wolves too soon. But at least he has a good supporting cast with Pollard, Hopkins and Ridley. Somebody needs to pull him aside and tell him he doesn't need to try and do it all.
Peterson is a legit made man. Trevor Lawrence aint done shit. Maybe don't start hyping guys as being NFL level players before they can show it. Paying him was the shits. Urban Meyer was there when he was a rookie, where, you wouldve expected him not to be great. He's going on 2 full seasons of just whatever, backup level play. Nobody was making excuses for lots of guys in the past that had lesser expectations.I think Andy Dalton is better than him.
The Jaguars’ receivers have the highest drop rates in the NFL. The problem isn’t Trevor as much it is their receiving corps-seemingly rich from free agent deals, uninterested in doing their jobs. Christian Kirk sticks out as a major issue, but it’s most of them.
Al I know is that things are so bright with my team (Washington) As a fan ,the performance that Jayden Daniels put on MNF was incredible! ….. and we have waited and suffered every kind of disappointment and indignity over the past 20+ years that Daniel Snyders slimy self could have put us through!! Clean house. Trevor needs a GM and a coach that are on the same page. Trevor makes throws sometime that make you understand why he was drafted #1, but has never gotten the true support he needs.
I’ve said it for 2 years now. Trevor played on a great college team. Lots of good players. Superior coaching. He looked great! But the NFL is top level play. Very competitive! There’s a reason why Aaron Rogers or Tom Brady are household names.

Never underestimate the abilities of defensive coaches to adjust game plans agenst average qbs. You got 3 years or so and the tape shows your weaknesses.
Lol, I have been saying this for the past year. Last season I watched a LOT of Jax games to see why my fantasy players were not getting the ball. Watch 4-5 of his games and you will see what I am talking about. On every single pass play he is LOCKED in staring down his main option. He forces it to them a lot even when they are covered by multiple defenders. By the time he tries to make a 2nd read it is too late and he scrambles off for a garbage run or sack. Bottom line he cannot read the field fast enough. Not sure if that is coachable but he is in year 4 and should be better at this point. Watch his helmet. It does not move. I pointed this out to a friend and once you see it you can't stop seeing it. He really just stares them down. Watching Josh Allen in the same game and he was quickly moving his head from left to right scanning options. Not just staring at the main called play option.
As a life long Niners fan, I have absolutely no fucking idea why Trent Baalke is still in the NFL. That dude must be the worlds greatest used cars salesman. The only position he's qualified for is selling hot dogs in the parking lot after the game is done.

Ownership of this franchise can be summed up in a couple points…1) Make decisions doing as little homework as possible 2) Hope league parity solves your problem. For as much parity as there is in this league, this franchise is 32 of 32 in win % since Khan bought the team.
Dallas drafting Arch Manning would be EPIC! However, given they gave a HUGE bag to Pad Statsheet I would say this is highly unlikely. Can we get a video talking about how Jerry Jones not signing Derrick Henry makes Jerry look like a DAMN FOOL when you look how he transformed the Ravens into a wrecking machine on offense? Could you imagine if Dallas had signed him in the offseason with that offensive line how this would have made Dallas instant contenders? Sigh.....

Not all QBs have but a decent amount of them have recently you named a few in the video, You definitely have it right though for Trevor Lawrence the Jags have always had their short comings from the team/management themselves
I will be blunt and say this is solely on the Jaguars. They got the talent they wanted, but lack the right personnel to help raise Lawrence to transit from college to the pros. It's certainly not helped that Lawrence has to put up with Urban Meyer in his rookie year, and Trent Baalke (Jaguars GM) is not exactly someone I would consult when it comes to drafting talents. The only upside for Lawrence is the guaranteed money he would receive from the Khans if he behaved himself, even if his talent suddenly got drained overnight.
As a Jags fan, who’s to blame? For this multiple choice question, the answer is clearly (D) all of the above. At the end of the year, if not sooner, the Jags need to clean house and fire almost everyone. Trevor gets one more chance (not really any other choice given his contract anyway) but he should be judged by the new regime just like all of the other players. Hate to say it but the Jags need to start over.
I came in around 8:45 pm for Monday night football. I was shocked. Seriously, I love QBs my team is my Steelers!!! But, I like to see the development of qbs. Trevor I don't know anymore. Was he overrated?! Honestly I don't know. It's not a Doug problem that much I know.
The Jags rushing to pay Lawrence reminds me of the Giants rushing to pay Daniel Jones, except with the Daniel Jones deal, the Giants could bail after two years, with Lawrence the Jags are stuck, so they have no choice but to hope Lawrence turns it around. Right now, the QBs getting paid over $50 million a year all look like crap and I don't know why organizations are paying them that much money when most of the 50 million club won't ever sniff a superbowl in their career.
The jags have broken my heart over and over. Looks like we have a good team fairly often and then we suck. I'm done watching them until taylor balke and probably pederson are gone. Our owner seems dedicated and doesn't seem to get in the way and i think he's a cool owner. The team is always badly coached. Im 36 and I've been a fan since they entered the league. We've wasted so much talent and it's management and coaching that's keeping us from winning.
Its obvious his confidence is shaken. I think if he can get one win in, the coaching is adjusted, and his oline is improve then his career will improve. Receivers keep dropping the ball and he gets blamed for it. This season he has had only one interception so far.
We all know the key to being successful is having a qb that protects the ball behind a top offensive line. That’s what needs to happen. I think if Trevor had Ingram and Brian robinson jr to throw to behind a top 10 line he’d be fine.
I know what it is. People been hating on jaguars since the came in the league. They been hating T Law since middle school. We just need to take that rule and play like that bad guys
I think there's alot of blame to be passed around. Trevor's play hasn't really helped but he threw his first int of the season in a game that was already over. Josh allen had decades to throw the ball and the receivers almost always had quite a bit of separation. Trevor's playing mid football rn but his o-line is not doing him any favors and we don't really got a run game rn. I think trevor gets a lot of scrutiny cause he's the QB but if he didn't throw that int and threw 4 more tds jags still lose to buffalo
Extremely unfair to blame one person when you're in a mess this deep. My personal bet is that it is a combination of multiple of those factors that's to blame, not any single one thing by itself.
bro said this is unlike jordan love but this is exactly like jordan love. Only difference is love still hasnt reached the stage of proving his salary but there is no better comparison for overpaying for 1 good season and 1 playoff "run" than jordan love and trevor lawrence
@jacksonduval4995 I don't want to take away from Fields he's playing great in Pitsburgh rn for what they are asking him to do and good for him. Caleb is the Bears qb rn, and I am a Bears fan at the end of the day. I'm pretty hyped for Caleb Williams this season progressing and growing as a qb in the NFL. Wish Bears had a better o line and a better running game to help out Caleb.

Ever since they disrespected the terrible towel they have lost 😂😂😂😂😂 never disrespect the Steelers
Lawrence has trouble seeing the entire field. He can only see one side based on which side of his nose his vision is currently looking.
As a lions fan, I still thank the jags for letting hutch fall in our laps.
Its obvious his confidence is shaken. I think if he can get one win in, the coaching is adjusted, and his oline is improve then his career will improve. Receivers keep dropping the ball and he gets blamed for it. This season he has had only one interception so far.
Trevor is very talented. But the problem with them is their horrid defense and mid coaching
We all know the key to being successful is having a qb that protects the ball behind a top offensive line. That’s what needs to happen. I think if Trevor had Ingram and Brian robinson jr to throw to behind a top 10 line he’d be fine.
As a Saints fan we are more than willing to trade the Jaguars Carr for Lawrence to get that long contract off their hands
I’ve never once believed Trevor Lawrence was a good qb. He is Matt Cassel with long hair.
I was here at 400k subscribers
The South Park reference😂😂
Look Patrick was on the bench and he had Allen to learn from.
This is sad if you think about it the jags have not really helped Trevor at all 1. They have not drafted o-line nor a no 1. Receiver at all
TLaw would just waste a true #1 receiver by throwing dirt balls or sailing it over his head. TLaw SUCKS
Teams that are great have great owners
I know the bears mad they traded away Justin Fields.. look how’s he’s performing now
Still hasnt thrown a 300 yard passing game. Not being asked to do too much and not being apart of the sorry Bears helps Fields a ton.
@@VanHallen52 if fields stayed with bears he would’ve thrown 300+
@@thecoolrich how come he hasn't in the past 3 years then? Lmao 🤣
@@VanHallen52the team now had way more talent on it
@jacksonduval4995 I don't want to take away from Fields he's playing great in Pitsburgh rn for what they are asking him to do and good for him. Caleb is the Bears qb rn, and I am a Bears fan at the end of the day. I'm pretty hyped for Caleb Williams this season progressing and growing as a qb in the NFL. Wish Bears had a better o line and a better running game to help out Caleb.
Make a video about Sam Howell!
I’m sorry but Trevor looks like one of those Easter island statues 🗿 😅
