    Oh my gosh this is absolutely STUNNING I've been searching for the perfect blanket pattern for some jumbo yarn I found on clearance... It might be a little tricky to get the bobble with such heavy yarn but I'm gonna try cause this pattern is absolutely beautiful 😍

      Just push your first bobble over chain 2 and do the second bobble. If you push your work over both will fit perfectly,.

    I am learning and enjoying your videos and hope that you do a brief tutorial in the granny square making for your Sunny Bloomy blanket. Purchased the pattern and love the finished product, but am being challenged in not being short to complete round 4 of the granny square. Would love tips. Thanks.

    Such a beautiful vintage style pattern. Making it with 4 ply and an H hook. 120 + 3 chain wide but don't know how long yet. ;)

    Very nice, Jessica. Thank you. I tried it with a J and some worsted and liked that too. I have to get a P and some chunky #6 yarn. I’m not so used to the big stuff, but I knitted a giant sweater with lion brand homespun thick and quick last year and I was amazed at how quick it worked up! So satisfying. Thanks for your great designs and hard work!

      That's awesome that you tried it with a smaller yarn and hook and it worked out well! Thanks so much for sharing, Judy! And so glad you found the tutorial helpful. :)

    I love this pattern but there is a problem with both your video and written instructions. You say to crochet 1DC into the next 3DC after skipping 2DC. Then after the 2 bobble stitches crochet 1DC into the next 3DC. However, that doesn’t work unless I go into the “eye” of the first bobble stitch. At the beginning on this video you show the finished piece. I paused the video and it clearly shows FOUR DC on each side of the bobble stitch. It also appears that you only skip 1DC. Can you please clarify this?

      When you went into the eye of the bobble on the 3 rd row did that fix it for the rest of the blanket or did you have to do it everytime !

      I know this post is a few years late but maybe it will help the next person. 😊
      The issue is your not pushing your 2 nd bobble over enough to see the top of your first DC. I had this issue as well and that was the problem the first DC gets covered by your bobble because it is so bulky. Trust push it over and your stitches will line up perfectly.

    I tried following along with the video multiple times & keep getting stuck on the same place.
    When I get to row 2, right before the bobble, pattern calls for 3 dc, but I only have room for 2dc (this prob keeps repeating for me). Looking at your sample pic (with the slip knot on the left side) pic shows it begins with 5dc. The pattern says "1 dc in 4th ch from hook, 1 dc in each of next 3 ch" which adds up to 4dc.
    Going back to where my problem repeats (right before the bobble) I believe that is perhaps why the math is wrong. I hope this makes sense. I appreciate the work you put into the video, it's a good video (calm tone of voice and easy going pace) but I can't seem to make it work?

    Looking for a vintage pattern to make for two different brides to be, one the future wife of the young man my husband is a grooms man for, the other for my nephew’s future bride, both of whom told me their bedrooms are gray walls.
    I really like this pattern with its angles for my needs. The trick is I’m fairly new at crochet and needed ez directions while not using a pattern that would look like a baby blanket.
    I thank you for this pattern. And you’re having taught it in the video in gray helps me visualize a finished blanket.
    Can anyone suggest how many chains I should begin with for a boudoir size blanket for the foot of their beds?? Thanks again! 🧶💍🧖🏻🧖

    I'm on my last row, but could use some assistance in how to finish the final row so it matches the first row? Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks.

    The blanket doesn't work the way you wrote it or showed it in the video. You can't keep repeating row 2, you lose a stitch if you skip 2dcs. Your photo clearly has 4dcs between stitches.

    I don’t understand why anyone is having problems with this pattern. It is a simple repeat after the second row all the stitches line up perfectly. I have the written pattern, and my cousin watches the videos because she can't read patterns. Both our blankets look the same. I think people are getting lost after the last bobble. Follow the written pattern it says 3 DC not 4 DC. Look at your work 3DC line up. When you get to the last 6 stitches, it should mirror the first 6 when you started row 2. 😊

  • @dayrue4696
    @dayrue4696 3 года назад +6

    You really should remove this video. The pattern doesn’t work out right. There’s clearly 4 stitches between the bobbles and one skipped stitch not 2 in the blanket you show.

      Hooked by Robin has the same pattern in small yarn and she explains how to put that 3rd DC in the top of the bobble ! And that’s it , all she missed telling us !! Everything else is very close to the same although I made a 3 under bobble instead with 7 loops instead of 9 . And at the beginning of the row ch1 and make a doc in that very first dc . It comes out beautifully!

      @@kariowens4380I didn't do this you just push the second bobble over the stitch is right there.

  • @Mjewmks

    Can’t possibly continue row 2. It doesn’t work out. If you skip the first double crochet and only crochet into the next three, then in the third row, you are only going to have three double crochet’s. It looks nothing like your pattern.

    • @boddahveryape
      @boddahveryape Год назад

      So you skip the first and then do 2 dc in the next stitch and then 1 dc in the next 2 stitches.
