    I definitely remember the Texas Rangers of 1986! great memories of all the great names! Steve Buechelle Charlie Hough the good ol Knucleballer Don Slaught Pete Incavaligia's rookie season! I was almost 14 when these guys played! and of course Rangers Manager Bobby Valentine! a few more other Texas Rangers! Ruben Sierra Scott Fletcher and Bobby Witt! wow! what a great team.

      Mitch Williams and Bobby Witt; young, wild flamethrowers. these two accounted for 30% of walks for the team that season. Witt eventually found some control, but Wild Thing was wild til the end.

    the late September game against the Angels sealed the rangers doom for '86

      The Rangers lost every game to the Angels that year until it didn't count anymore. They were 0-7 vs. Cal until they were 10 games back with 9 to go. After that, they took 5 of 6 from them to finish the season.

    Geno Petralli > Ivan Rodriguez. There. I said it. His moustache was fancier and much thicker than the one Ivan sported in 1991. Other than that, IROD was the better player.
