    I was totally unaware Charley did this! I was lucky enough to find a few autographs of his a while back, did not realize he had connections to baseball! Thanks for sharing!

    I think the Rangers should retire Charley's number 71 jersey. That's just me.

      Some players play 20 years for a team and don't have their number retired..Charley pride has a batting practice and you think number should be retired??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

    Too bad Charlie didn’t play for the Rangers that year. That was the year that Billy Martin almost led the Rangers to a division title after they had been at the bottom of the A.L. West their first two years in the metroplex.

    I love Charley Pride and got all his records but I can see why he never made it in the majors. That swing is all off. That’s the most unnatural swing I’ve ever saw. Ya gotta put your whole body into the swing and rotate your hips too.
