I wish they schools would show this at the beginning of the year, every year! Adults do the same thing! It breaks my heart!! This World would be so nice if everyone could just be nice to everyone! My best friend and I ate lunch with a homeless man one time! We bought his lunch and his supper. Broke my heart when he said "you don't want to be seen with me "! We told him we didn't care! Let people stare and believe me they did! I don't sit high enough to Judge anyone!!
as someone who was teased and picked on a lot in school for being the "fat shy kid" this has always hit home for me. just like the song says, i was laughed at and always picked last for teams. they just have to know it gets better, people change. my former bullies later praised me and apologized for how they treated me. that felt so good to hear
Harris, This song brings back memories for me. I was that little boy who cried myself to sleep and was always chosen last. I'm also the old man with the cardboard sign without enough to eat. Don't Laugh At Me. The scruffy-lookin' Nerf herder.
I've been bullied my whole life. I love this song it's so beautiful. I have epilepsy and a kid in school was making fun of me for having seizures. I even got detention in school for refusing to run in gym class do to me having an asthma attack. All the bullying I went through just made me stronger made me wanna prove that I can do stuff that people don't think I can do
Mark is an awesome artist.. another impactful song --"Wish You Were Here" -- grab the story video if you can find it as opposed to the lyrics-- paints an awesome picture
Beautiful song with a powerful message. Mark's vocals are so rich and delivers this song to your heart and soul. So emotionally charged. Beautiful. Be kind to everyone. Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Nicole. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦 Happy Easter to Harri and all the besties. 🐰🐰🐣🐣❤❤
Thank you Mary for your always great analyses 😇🤩 Thank you Nicole for your suggestion 🥰😀 Such a beautifull massage ❤💯 Thank you Harri for a heartfelt reaction and Happy Easter to all the Besties ❤💛
Your reactions are always appropriate to the music and lyrics. The situations in this sad and beautiful song are all too real. My heart breaks for anyone who is bullied and laughed at.
Hi Harri! Can you please react, when you can to Home Free and Mark Wills Don’t laugh at me! It’s FANTASTIC! This is a great song, however I LOVE the Home Free version the best! Thanks Harri! Love your channel! Peace and Blessings from Australia.
I have had epilepsy since I was 11 months old and kids would make fun of me when I had a seizure in school. I was bullied all the time for it. Sad but true. And I had friends but none of them had my back when I was being bullied for my seizures so I finally had enough and had my dad and older brother teach me to fight and the next time someone made fun of me for having epilepsy I knocked them out and even though I was defending myself I was the one who got suspended not the other person. I know fighting isn't the answer but as a teenager I didn't and I still have epilepsy and my life is great and I think if only those who made fun of me and bullied me could see me now. Happily married and have 2 great kids.
He wrote this song for his daughter years ago. She was much taller than the girls and even the boys in school, so they teased her for it. It caused Mark to write this song and put it out to help people see that teasing really can hurt people greatly. He is a good Christian man just trying in his way to help those downtrodden. His daughter is in the video of this song with Home Free. You should check it out.
Mark is another hit maker from 90s Country and you'd love his songs. My favorites of his are The Last Memory, Wish You Were Here, Places I've Never Been, I Do (Cherish You), and of course Don't Laugh At Me.
There is a great video you have to see. At a wedding, the bride and groom start dancing to their wedding song by her favorite singer, Mark Wills when all of a sudden there is a malfunction and the song stops. The bride looks perplexed but unbeknownst to her, the groom had arranged for Mark Wills himself to come out and play the song live. The bride's reaction is priceless as she starts freaking out. I need you to listen to Free Animal it’s by foreign it’s also a great song I have been commenting for over a week now but you haven’t seen my comment yet hopefully you will see it this time 🤞🏼love your content man ❤
also suggest..Tim McGraws one of these days your going to love me and Tommy Shane Steiners what if shes an angel and Martha Mcbrides Gods will and Joe Nichols the impossible i also suggest collin Rayes Quitters and his song Scars..
Cross that double line means the guy side swiped and its usually a traffic fluke and not always alcohol or something and thank you for what you said i used to be homeless and thank God I'm ok with a home but not all of us on the street are winos theives and junkies im disabled and crippled and something i couldn't help what happened to me... also another song you might like is joe souths walk a mile in my shoes
Mark Wills teamed up recently with Home Free & released an updated version of this song with them. It was done as a message against bullying. You may want to check it out some time.
Especially since home free are just remake artists that are barely passable singers. This YT obsession with these karaoke sigers is getting pitiful.@@Nicole_Jewell
If you like this try Collin Rayes not that different same type of song just as beautiful and I love this I grew up with it and it really helped me with being in special ed and bullied
This amazing song was actually written by songwriter Steve Seskin. Peter Yarrow of Peter Paul and Mary heard this song at the Kerrville Folk Festival backstage one year and immediately asked to record it. They did a beautiful job of it, and have actually developed an entire anti-bullying curriculum and organization based on this song. They go in to schools and present it. It’s such a needed song, especially these days. The only addition I would make and am disappointed that isn’t included (maybe it is on the new version? I have to check that out) is that I would love to hear them recognize atheists at the end along with all the other other religions mentioned. EDIT: I hadn’t listened to the whole reaction when I typed this. I forgot that in this version, Mark doesn’t sing about all the different religions and how we shouldn’t dismiss anyone - both Steve Seskin and Peter Yarrow always sing those lines)
If you get a chance do a review please on a 3 part story video by Travis tritt about a wounded GI the first song is anymore the second is tell me i was dreaming but I can't remember the thrid video...all good ones
Most people who are persistently homeless are either mentally ill, addicted to alcohol or drugs, or all three. It's why it's so difficult to find a long-term solution to the problem. The root problem isn't a lack of money or the lack of a place to live.
If this song doesn't touch your ♥, there's something wrong with you.
I love this song…it’s one that needs to be heard more today than when it came out. Mark is so underrated!!

Wonderful comment, thank you for being a good person ❤
People who get their kicks at the expense of others are the sad ones. Great song and Mark has a wonderful voice.
I think about it alot! I always talk to the homeless! I don't sit high enough to Judge anyone and neither does anyone else!
He recently re-released this song with Home Free
This video shows bullying much more than the homefree one with Mark does. The original is much better.
They created a very touching video to go with this song.
❤❤❤❤❤
What a sad but beautiful song. Love the pedal steel guitar and fiddle. You’re reaction was kind.
I know Mark and he is not only an incredible talent but an incredible person. Check out Wish You Were Here by him

I was not laughed at much as a kid, but I remember the ones who were. Sometimes by me because I didn't know better at the time.
Sorry.
😢 this tore me in the first minute ♥️🇿🇦 have a beautiful Easter Harri🙏🏻
Damn this one hit hard
Home Free did a cover of this for anti-bullying month in October of last year. Mark Wills sang with them.

Very nice. Beautiful song ... I cried through it all! As usual, your kindness showed in your reaction. Thank you for sharing. God bless you.

What a beautiful song, Mark has so many great songs, highly underrated, please check out more
Mark's daughter has dealt with being bullied in school so this song hits close to home for him
Not to mention there was also a lot of teenage suicides during that year when this song came out, so that was probably another reason.
