I lost my wife of 34 years in March 2021. I held her hand, wiped her lips from drying, as she drew her last breathes. Our son stayed with me at the hospital, he too experienced his mother passing. Our daughter could not handle the last hours of her mother's life, she choose not be present. I cared for my wife the last four years of her life. It was some of the best times. I was Blessed to have Cheryl in my life for 36 years, having two beautiful children and now two grand kids. Cheryl missed out on what we waited for, our daughter's wedding, the birth of twins, and our son getting married in October 2023. I hurts me so much to know she was not here, the most important dreams we had. I am thankful God took her as she was tired and in pain. I did not want her to go but knew she was ready. I have never missed another like I miss her. I am sadden knowing I will never have the happiness like I had, ever again.

My Wife came from a large Family. I had a small Family. At first She lost her brother in law, 2 months later she lost her Dad, 4 months later, her Nephew was killed by having a heart attack while driving. His Dad had a heart attack while working on his truck, the night before he had to go to work. Her Dad passed from heart problems as well as other medical problems. It was so hard on her Sister. 4 yrs later, after losing 3 of her best friends, she was diagnosed with Cancer. My Wife and I believe she died from a broken heart, she fought for 2 yrs. Then suddenly every year since, We have been going to funerals several times a year. I felt the pain they were going through. I really felt it when my best friend, who was like my Brother, was killed, then my Mother passed from Cancer not even a year later. Then Our Children started losing their best friends, especially during the time of the War from 9-11. And some of their "best friends " that did make it home, as their Parents would say, their bodies came home, their hearts, Souls, and minds were still where they lost so many "best friends". They remind Us, how Blessed, We are to still have each other, and Our best Friends. In 2020, I lost my Grandmother, 3 days later, I went to pick up my Grandfather to go Meet my Aunt to make the funeral arrangements. As I was helping him get dressed, I noticed he had lumps and bruises all over his legs and arms. I called my Aunt and explained that I felt We should take him to the Dr's, before We went to make the funeral arrangements. My Aunt called my Grandfather's Dr. He suggested We take my Grandfather to the hospital. We did, he was immediately admitted. 3 days later, We were told, he had Cancer and only had days to live. He passed away 13 days from the day my Grandmother passed. We had a double service. 4 months later, my Aunts husband was diagnosed with Cancer for a second time. He passed 7 days later. I only have my Dad, who lives in Florida, my Aunt and a Sister left from my side. Our lives have changed so much within 20 years. So many family members and friends have past on. We try to explain to People who are blessed to have Grandparents, Parents, Siblings, Cousins, Aunts and Uncles and Friends still alive, go visit them, none of us are promised another second, let alone another day, month or year.

Now that I have moved from our old home like the doc said nearly two years on. I brought some of your stuff with me. I guess I am feeling a bit better now. Life in the country is far less depressing than where we first moved to all those years ago. No more noise, drugs cops. The apartments went so downhill yet we did not notice as we had each other. I left a note where you passed away for your so called old friend the landlord who has never been to your graveside, R.I.P Scotty Lee Adams passed away here at the bottom of these stairs. And, left it on the wall for him to see I also included where your buried love. I can look outside at night, hear the birds see the insects, new life building. Guess this is my first big step since you were gone. Your mom keeps in touch with me she wanted to come one last time to our home, but your dad could not bear to come. Even though these comments are filed with pain and sorrow it also nice to see strangers coming together to comfort one another. The only comments I've seen with such compassion for others and there struggles. The world needs sad songs. It's okay to cry. I had to leave the woman of my dreams. Not her fault. It's mine because I cheated in the first few months and she forgave me and we went on to be so happy and make so many memories but with love comes hurt and despite her efforts to forget you could see it when she was angry. Small things began to make her irritated and she began to talk to me like a child. I can't tell you how hard this is to know she's not gone but still having to leave her. 6years 1 child to add to our other 4 (2each)! And a lifetime of memories that I feel will never allow me to care for another. I thought I had done the right thing. I became such a better man and father. I learned from mistakes and we thrived but she never learned to be sorry for her mistakes and i held on as long as I could. She can't see what I've been through and I understand. I miss my best friend. He's an ex of mine, and my boyfriend hates him. I got to see him for the first time in 5 years back in December. I can't describe how wonderful it was to hug my best friend again, to see his face. I still love this man and always will. I may be 30 and he may be 44 but I do not care. I never have. He's been a part of my life for 10 years now. I miss his hazel eyes, the faith we share, watching silly movies together , the way he cuddled me.
I'm 37, she's 23... She's my best friend and right now she's going through a part of her life where she's not sure what she wants... I know she loves me so much too. I always loved this video. It's even more meaningful this 2022. Between March - August, I lost my dog of 15 1/2 years, my ex girlfriend, my best friend, my Aunt, a childhood friend and a mining buddy now is diagnosed with brain cancer. It's a lot to handle.
Although she's not gone from life, she's gone from mine. And even though we weren't meant for each other, there are feelings I had with her that I don't think I'll ever get to feel again. I think, and I hope, she has finally found her friend, but I still miss mine. What a great song.

Now that I have moved from our old home like the doc said nearly two years on. I brought some of your stuff with me. I guess I am feeling a bit better now. Life in the country is far less depressing than where we first moved to all those years ago. No more noise, drugs cops. The apartments went so downhill yet we did not notice as we had each other. Even though these comments are filed with pain and sorrow it also nice to see strangers coming together to comfort one another. The only comments I've seen with such compassion for others and there struggles. The world needs sad songs. It's okay to cry. I had to leave the woman of my dreams. Not her fault. It's mine because I cheated in the first few months and she forgave me and we went on to be so happy and make so many memories but with love comes hurt and despite her efforts to forget you could see it when she was angry. Small things began to make her irritated and she began to talk to me like a child. I can't tell you how hard this is to know she's not gone but still having to leave her. 6years 1 child to add to our other 4 (2each)! And a lifetime of memories that I feel will never allow me to care for another. I thought I had done the right thing. I became such a better man and father. I learned from mistakes and we thrived but she never learned to be sorry for her mistakes and i held on as long as I could. She can't see what I've been through and I understand. Don't take anyone for granted because you will wish you hadn't. I really truly miss my friend. I love you always. Sorry for the pain I caused you

I lost my hubby to a heart attack 2 weeks ago and he was only 50 I am a 35 year old widow and it's crazy!!!! So many prayers for u !!!! I know how hard it is and will be.....

I miss my best friend. He's an ex of mine, and my boyfriend hates him. I got to see him for the first time in 5 years back in December. I can't describe how wonderful it was to hug my best friend again, to see his face. I still love this man and always will. I may be 30 and he may be 44 but I do not care. I never have. He's been a part of my life for 10 years now. I miss his hazel eyes, the faith we share, watching silly movies together , the way he cuddled me.

I'm 37, she's 23... She's my best friend and right now she's going through a part of her life where she's not sure what she wants... I know she loves me so much too. I hope it's not us down the road, apart from each other, living separate lives and her regretting letting me go so she can experience things. My mom was my my only parent growing up. She comforted me, bandaged my scrapes, and would sing me to sleep. Mom has been gone now since a couple weeks after 9/11. She was my rock,and she loved me. So blessed to have had her, but the hole Is massive.

I lost my best friend, we lost our oldest daughter due to a birth defect, then he was killed in a semi accident six months later. After he was gone two weeks later I found out that I was going to have our second child, this was 31 years ago. Our son is 30 now and has a 3 year old of his own. I thank the good Lord everyday that a part of him was left behind because I was supposed to be with him that night, so God does know what he's doing. I heard this song driving home from work one evening and it's perfect. I miss everything about him. Especially my friend, 31 years has passed still no one can replace the friendship we had. It's so hard not to have that person in your life. ❤❤❤

I always loved this video. It's even more meaningful this 2022. Between March - August, I lost my dog of 15 1/2 years, my ex girlfriend, my best friend, my Aunt, a childhood friend and a mining buddy now is diagnosed with brain cancer. It's a lot to handle.

Although she's not gone from life, she's gone from mine. And even though we weren't meant for each other, there are feelings I had with her that I don't think I'll ever get to feel again. I think, and I hope, she has finally found her friend, but I still miss mine. What a great song.
