I lost my best friend, we lost our oldest daughter due to a birth defect, then he was killed in a semi accident six months later. After he was gone two weeks later I found out that I was going to have our second child, this was 31 years ago. Our son is 30 now and has a 3 year old of his own. I thank the good Lord everyday that a part of him was left behind because I was supposed to be with him that night, so God does know what he's doing. I heard this song driving home from work one evening and it's perfect. I miss everything about him. Especially my friend, 31 years has passed still no one can replace the friendship we had. I lost my wife of 34 years in March 2021. I held her hand, wiped her lips from drying, as she drew her last breathes. Our son stayed with me at the hospital, he too experienced his mother passing. Our daughter could not handle the last hours of her mother's life, she choose not be present. I cared for my wife the last four years of her life. It was some of the best times. I was Blessed to have Cheryl in my life for 36 years, having two beautiful children and now two grand kids. Cheryl missed out on what we waited for, our daughter's wedding, the birth of twins, and our son getting married in October 2023. I hurts me so much to know she was not here, the most important dreams we had. I am thankful God took her as she was tired and in pain. I did not want her to go but knew she was ready. I have never missed another like I miss her. I am sadden knowing I will never have the happiness like I had, ever again.

I lost my love last year (July 9th, 2023) two days after my oldest son's birthday due to a motorcycle accident. My wife of 35 years passed on 9/3/20 after 4 1/2 years in a nursing home due to a stroke 4 days before Christmas 2015. She was 54. We only live a mile from the nursing home so I saw her every day after work until covid. I only saw her through a window from mid-March until she died. I called her every day right up until about 4 or 5 days before. One nurse told me " I now believe it's possible to die from a broken heart. All she ever wanted was to see you." She was and still is my best friend. I MISS YOU MY SWEET ANGEL, MY FRIEND. FLY HIGH, BABY, FLY HIGH.

I worked in a nursing home doing matianence for 27 years and I had to leave the job 10 months ago because I couldnt stand how they were treating the residents due to covid . For sure your wife died do to covid restrictions . It was heart breaking watching residents suffer , when all that needed to be done was for family members to stay away if they had even a little sniffle and all they needed was to be tested before entry . sorry for what you had to suffer through . Going forward focus on your inner heart eye and you will be able to connect with your wife through your inner spirit . People think Im crazy but over the years Ive heard spirits in the nursing home in the night and I also knew exactly when someone just passed away . One of the nurses was even better than me at it and always saw the ghost ore what I call your inner soul leave the room of the resident seconds before their heart stopped . +Kari Mullen i honestly dont know i think having the ability to get lost in raising my 2 year olds helped. then it becomes just one day at a time. lots of prayer even if you dont believe or feel mad. i dont really know for sure it hurts very mad every day and you learn to live with that pain, the pain doesnt go away though. and be ready for both sides of the family to act crazy and for people to wonder why you not over it. its a very hard road but we have to be strong because they would want us to be strong and continue our lives as fullfilling as we can. im truly sorry for your loss and for what you are going through. there are also widow groups on facebook that help me a little but i have a hard time leaning on anyone.

My Wife came from a large Family. I had a small Family. At first She lost her brother in law, 2 months later she lost her Dad, 4 months later, her Nephew was killed by having a heart attack while driving. His Dad had a heart attack while working on his truck, the night before he had to go to work. Her Dad passed from heart problems as well as other medical problems. It was so hard on her Sister. 4 yrs later, after losing 3 of her best friends, she was diagnosed with Cancer. My Wife and I believe she died from a broken heart, she fought for 2 yrs. Then suddenly every year since, We have been going to funerals several times a year. I felt the pain they were going through. I really felt it when my best friend, who was like my Brother, was killed, then my Mother passed from Cancer not even a year later. Then Our Children started losing their best friends, especially during the time of the War from 9-11. And some of their "best friends " that did make it home, as their Parents would say, their bodies came home, their hearts, Souls, and minds were still where they lost so many "best friends". They remind Us, how Blessed, We are to still have each other, and Our best Friends. In 2020, I lost my Grandmother, 3 days later, I went to pick up my Grandfather to go Meet my Aunt to make the funeral arrangements. As I was helping him get dressed, I noticed he had lumps and bruises all over his legs and arms. I called my Aunt and explained that I felt We should take him to the Dr's, before We went to make the funeral arrangements. My Aunt called my Grandfather's Dr. He suggested We take my Grandfather to the hospital. We did, he was immediately admitted. 3 days later, We were told, he had Cancer and only had days to live. He passed away 13 days from the day my Grandmother passed. We had a double service. 4 months later, my Aunts husband was diagnosed with Cancer for a second time. He passed 7 days later. I only have my Dad, who lives in Florida, my Aunt and a Sister left from my side. Our lives have changed so much within 20 years. So many family members and friends have past on. We try to explain to People who are blessed to have Grandparents, Parents, Siblings, Cousins, Aunts and Uncles and Friends still alive, go visit them, none of us are promised another second, let alone another day, month or year.

I lost my best friend, we lost our oldest daughter due to a birth defect, then he was killed in a semi accident six months later. After he was gone two weeks later I found out that I was going to have our second child, this was 31 years ago. Our son is 30 now and has a 3 year old of his own. I thank the good Lord everyday that a part of him was left behind because I was supposed to be with him that night, so God does know what he's doing. I heard this song driving home from work one evening and it's perfect. I miss everything about him. Especially my friend, 31 years has passed still no one can replace the friendship we had. I lost my wife of 34 years in March 2021. I held her hand, wiped her lips from drying, as she drew her last breathes. Our son stayed with me at the hospital, he too experienced his mother passing. Our daughter could not handle the last hours of her mother's life, she choose not be present. I cared for my wife the last four years of her life. It was some of the best times. I was Blessed to have Cheryl in my life for 36 years, having two beautiful children and now two grand kids. Cheryl missed out on what we waited for, our daughter's wedding, the birth of twins, and our son getting married in October 2023. I hurts me so much to know she was not here, the most important dreams we had. I am thankful God took her as she was tired and in pain. I did not want her to go but knew she was ready. I have never missed another like I miss her. I am sadden knowing I will never have the happiness like I had, ever again.

We only live a mile from the nursing home so I saw her every day after work until covid. I only saw her through a window from mid-March until she died. I called her every day right up until about 4 or 5 days before. One nurse told me " I now believe it's possible to die from a broken heart. All she ever wanted was to see you." I worked in a nursing home doing matianence for 27 years and I had to leave the job 10 months ago because I couldnt stand how they were treating the residents due to covid . For sure your wife died do to covid restrictions . It was heart breaking watching residents suffer , when all that needed to be done was for family members to stay away if they had even a little sniffle and all they needed was to be tested before entry . sorry for what you had to suffer through . Going forward focus on your inner heart eye and you will be able to connect with your wife through your inner spirit . People think Im crazy but over the years Ive heard spirits in the nursing home in the night and I also knew exactly when someone just passed away . One of the nurses was even better than me at it and always saw the ghost ore what I call your inner soul leave the room of the resident seconds before their heart stopped . After battling 8 Meningiomas cancerous brain tumors, having 15 high dose Sterostatic radiation treatments and two brain surgeries. I cry😢 every time I listen to this song, I Miss My Friend. +Kari Mullen i honestly dont know i think having the ability to get lost in raising my 2 year olds helped. then it becomes just one day at a time. lots of prayer even if you dont believe or feel mad. i dont really know for sure it hurts very mad every day and you learn to live with that pain, the pain doesnt go away though. and be ready for both sides of the family to act crazy and for people to wonder why you not over it. its a very hard road but we have to be strong because they would want us to be strong and continue our lives as fullfilling as we can. im truly sorry for your loss and for what you are going through. there are also widow groups on facebook that help me a little but i have a hard time leaning on anyone.

I lost my best friend to cancer on her 67th birthday on September 10, 2009. We would have been married 45 years on September 19 of that year. It has been almost 7 years now and sometimes it is like she is still here, like when I see something on TV and almost call her to come and see it. That might sound crazy, but it does happen. I miss her more every day. It really never gets better. This song about says it all.

My Wife came from a large Family. I had a small Family. At first She lost her brother in law, 2 months later she lost her Dad, 4 months later, her Nephew was killed by having a heart attack while driving. His Dad had a heart attack while working on his truck, the night before he had to go to work. Her Dad passed from heart problems as well as other medical problems. It was so hard on her Sister. 4 yrs later, after losing 3 of her best friends, she was diagnosed with Cancer. My Wife and I believe she died from a broken heart, she fought for 2 yrs. Then suddenly every year since, We have been going to funerals several times a year. I felt the pain they were going through. I really felt it when my best friend, who was like my Brother, was killed, then my Mother passed from Cancer not even a year later. Then Our Children started losing their best friends, especially during the time of the War from 9-11. And some of their "best friends " that did make it home, as their Parents would say, their bodies came home, their hearts, Souls, and minds were still where they lost so many "best friends". They remind Us, how Blessed, We are to still have each other, and Our best Friends. In 2020, I lost my Grandmother, 3 days later, I went to pick up my Grandfather to go Meet my Aunt to make the funeral arrangements. As I was helping him get dressed, I noticed he had lumps and bruises all over his legs and arms. I called my Aunt and explained that I felt We should take him to the Dr's, before We went to make the funeral arrangements. My Aunt called my Grandfather's Dr. He suggested We take my Grandfather to the hospital. We did, he was immediately admitted. 3 days later, We were told, he had Cancer and only had days to live. He passed away 13 days from the day my Grandmother passed. We had a double service. 4 months later, my Aunts husband was diagnosed with Cancer for a second time. He passed 7 days later. I only have my Dad, who lives in Florida, my Aunt and a Sister left from my side. Our lives have changed so much within 20 years. So many family members and friends have past on. We try to explain to People who are blessed to have Grandparents, Parents, Siblings, Cousins, Aunts and Uncles and Friends still alive, go visit them, none of us are promised another second, let alone another day, month or year.
I miss my friend and my little angel girl. She was only three years young when God needed her back in heaven!! I held her in my arms when she took her last breath oh how it hurts daddy loves you Angel loise Kirkland I will be seeing you very soon my love Daddy has cancer and I'm tired of fighting the fight!!! RIP 2000/2003. My beautiful gift from God!!
