Its like every other shooter i ever played.. but there was one thing i wish they would add to more games.. that sky rail mechanic.. when you can squeeze it in there its fun.
It is indeed, and was even more so 10 years ago. Most of the criticism I have now are the same as when I first played it. The only difference is that back then Infinite was a sacred cow that nobody dared describe it in any other way than "masterpiece".
I think why people praise the game as a "masterpiece" is because the way they presented the game It's cool looking and shiny on the outside which is enough for the majority of people to see it as "good", but once anyone tries to dig deeper the beauty of the game cracks, it's clear there are many flaws to the story and doesn't make sense
You can really tell that this is a game that went through development hell, I doubt that the developers were ever really satisfied with the final release - I suspect the pressure of having to live up to the original Bioshock creatively, critically, and commercially had a lot to do with it.
They had to cut a lot of content due to scope creep during development. In the final product you can see hints of quite a few elements that were cut, like the floating sections of the city moving and connecting with different segments, etc. The devs 100% aren't happy with the final product. My gripe is more with the gaming press that was blinded by hype and ignored its obvious flaws.
@@DarthZombie510 I actually remembered the reception being fairly muted, but going back and looking at old reviews I was surprised how positive they were.
I think the thing that really holds Bioshock Infinite back is that the story is just kinda mediocre in a series known for its amazing story telling some of the technical stuff about the game is great at least in my opinion the art design, the personality of the characters, the music even the gunplay while I do agree with you that it's a bit on the liner side I still found fun overall the game really just needed more time in the oven and it's short comings are just to obvious to really ignore
It feels like it gave up on the buildup to awesome sequences like in B1, for Hollywood-esque setpieces that are spectacular but shallow. It did need more time, and the cut content is something to behold
How dare you sir! How very dare you indeed sir.
Not with that attitude
Bioshock 2 is the best bioshock

It's a shame that this was a mechanic in the first half of the game, and then it... disappears completely!
New Darth Zombie video let's gooo!!!!
that... is a controversial title

It doesn't help that Bioshock 1 and 2 already exist. Infinite's flaws appear much brighter when put in a comparison with the other two.
Long time no see my dear fellow 😎
I don't like shooters, but anyway it doesn't seems like interesting game at all 🤷♀️
The story's interesting enough, but it's hard to recommend it with the problems it has in the other departments.

Browsing Metacritic is a very wild ride. I don't put much stake on reviews, but I've never seen such a chasm between them and the game covered
@@DarthZombie510 Well, I'm old enough to remember Rise of the Robots, so...
