I always thought that it would have been brilliant to take Duke and make him washed up and have to regain his glory they really could have hammed up FPS tropes over the last decade, but considering the turmoil in development, I get the feeling the crass humor was the easy way out to get something that matched Duke's over the top Bravado. Reminds me a lot of the Shock Jock kind of style that was popular in the early 2000s in particular.
The good thing about Duke is that you have plenty methods to make fun stories involving him. Even Forever's premise is good enough, it's the execution that's a mess. DLC's way better in that regard

Speaking of that build, we actually do have it now thanks to someone leaking it and numerous other Duke Nukem games on 4Chan. It’s too bad that George Broussard has crippling awtism that compelled him to kill his own game through feature creep and swapping from engine to engine. Thankfully, he’s no recognized as a lolcow. It’s also too bad that Aliens Colonial Marines is also a train wreck. If Gearbox actually cared about the game we probably would’ve gotten something actually good. At least that overhaul mod makes the game good, or at least not not terrible/functional. Too bad we didn’t get that version of the game, and the guy modding it can’t add in what was falsely advertised due to limitations with modding the game. Apparently, Microsoft originally planned for Gearbox to take over Halo after Bungie left. At the time this was perfectly reasonable because they were still good, and made the phenomenal Half-Life expansions. This was before Duke Nukem Forever (which, is more the fault of George Broussard than them. That being said they should’ve never released the game in the state it was in), and same goes for Aliens Colonial Marines. Not sure how that would’ve played out. It could’ve been good since Boarderlands was a lot of fun, or it could’ve been a complete dumpster fire. At its very least the decline of Halo would’ve been funny since Chief would act like a gross parody of himself and we’d probably get Aliens Colonial Marines with Halo marines😂. Part of me is thinking this would’ve been the best choice since both 343 and modern Bungie are such abject dumpster fires.
I agree, Gearbox should have never released DNF in that state. Also Randy was sleazy for pretending he wanted to release the 2001 build when he had no intention of doing so. Ironic the build got leaked in the middle of a boomer shooter craze. Colonial Marines suffered because the developers were unable to figure out the cause if the AI bug. The whole game is designed with that in mind, from the weird gun accuracy to the insta-killing hitscan enemies. It's impossible to mod out the issue unfortunately. Same goes for the horrific power loader fight, seems like they gave up trying to make it decent lol

Ash is unstable after Deadpool, he looks like Elvis Aaron Presley, Guts / Gatsu (berserK) have similarity with Ash or Guts have the Armor Batman final suit or Iron Man godkiller o iron god or Titanium Man, its unfair that the other heroes from other franchises from other companies are not. It's not on my list to have a normal/happy life and Ash doesn't have it, he deserves more too, he has feelings, he has more crossovers and cameos, Ash's comics and video games are alternate dimensions, be awesome in another universe alternative.
