Greetings from Naples, Florida. When the drain finally emptied, it looked like there was a silver cellphone at the bottom of the last drain. Great job. I never knew I would enjoy watching shit go down a drain. Haha.
The countdown was brilliant. One thought though, put your torch on a cable/wire like that ‘Drain Addict’ chap from Australia has….. I can imagine what you’d say if you dropped it! The end drain looked like a very small corner outlet considering how big the whole pipe was, and it looked like it had pads or something blocking most of it, maybe scale too? The companies selling ‘sewer safe’ wipes need a manufacturing tax on them because of the amount of harm they’re doing to a system that even ten years ago didn’t have the type and amount of blockages and damage they’ve caused. I love videos like these. Drainage was the most important development historically in people living together and building eventual cities. No drains = no communal living. Thank you buddy for the enjoyable video!
I worked for Oatey Corp. For awhile mainly sewer leak test equipment. One thing I have noticed it the differerese between your sewer design and US design. We have a main line running down the middle of the street, and individual lines run from the houses.
We have main sewer lines running down the middle of the streets here in the UK too, into which indivdual lines run into aswell, although here the individual sewer line from a house will in most cases have its own inspection chamber (manhole) too for access to the drainage system for genaeral inspection and of course for removal of blockages. 🙂🙂
@@TheDrainUnblockers do you have a video showing your pressure machine the different fittings and how it all works, I would like to see that. Love the videos.
Hey mate! I'm a bit confused. When you put the hose into the drain, what it propelling it forward? I see you pushing it sometimes, and others It looks like the drain is sucking in the hose (like at 3:33)
I wonder if it's possible to get a remote start for the jetter pump, to save walking back and forth (or to shut down for the many minutes it's not in use like during the Endless Wipes episode).
I would assume noise, fuel burn, and wear and tear on the compressor and hoses. But I'm not an expert and could easily be incorrect. Plus these aren't your typical tradesmen, they actually DO give a toss.
Yes many manufacturers makes remote control options, Rioned are one such manufacturer, our local water board has their remote control units fitted in their jetting vans up here in Glasgow
To be fair our sewer system is ancient! In some parts of the country the drains are 200 years old, it’s the reason that we use so many manholes. Having to tack on new drainage systems over the centuries has created this mass of diverse drain designs linked together. I think it’s testament to how well engineered our sewer system is that we haven’t had any truly catastrophic sewerage failures ever.
Did you ever think of numbering the manholes based on which one was the first one connected to the mains and which one came in 2nd, 3rd and 4th? By knowing which was the 1st one connected to the mains would make it easier to drain would it not?
is this a multi collection hole situation? Are multiple Housing Units emptying into this one Outflow Sump Hole which drains to the Municipal Main Sewage Header
@@TheDrainUnblockers My pleasure! I just recently discovered you on RUclips and I must say, I'm hooked, lol. Here's to many more bummed up drains!!!! 😂🏳️🌈
Love watching your videos, but can hardly see down in the drains most times because of camera angle or placement. I know that you are doing it all on your own most days, but hate that we miss the good stuff!!!!
Here we go again with the ridiculous head cam that is both too far from the manhole to see anything because of the shadows, and poor aiming. When you knelt down to rinse out the manhole, all we could see was your feet. On the positive side, I'm glad you cleared the blockage.
This may seem like a ridiculous question, but I've never heard it asked or answered. Do people from Liverpool have the same amount of difficulty understanding American English? I can make out maybe 1 of every 5 words you say. I can only describe it as John Bishop mumbling.
Interesting question 🤔 Turn on Closed Captioning, even RUclips translators get terribly confused and start making up words... or pretending there are no words being spoken. The only real problem is the CC is so massive, sometimes it covers up the action. Good grief, did I just say that?? 😆 LOL
Hello from the Twin Cites (Minneapolis/St. Paul), Minnesota. Legitimate question - are British people like SO seriously extra or 'pinky up' that using Exclusively wipes instead of toilet paper is actually as common as in your videos? Like I understand using them occasionally (or if they're the wipes for hemorrhoids/piles). When I've seen blockages it's 80 or 90% a neighborhood-wide problem something wrong with the sewers Or flooding from heavy rains. At places I've worked it's usually flushed woman products, flushed packaging from shoplifters or rarely someone just had a Massive shit the size of two babies. Unless American sewers are really much different. British videos are ALWAYS wipes or fatbergs that span multiple blocks. I imagine a posh accented voice "haha, look at the plebs buying such rough paper for their arseholes. May as well be Americans, they can wipe with the tea they threw in the harbor"
Hi Jeff...I'm writing from Germany .. I can assure you that the wet wipes are an ever more emerging international problem .. Not least through the hygiene industry which puts money a large part of there advertising .. Especially since obviously not only The Drain Unblockers have to deal with this problem . It is also a big problem for the sewage treatment plants, as the pumps block there too. That shows that wet wipes are not as promised dissoluble as it tells you on the packaging ..
Lots of people who have kids use wipes also the elderly. The problem is the manufacturers say they are flushable, well they are but old clay drains with rough edges wipes get caught and cause blockages . Toilet is still used by most people
there's something strangely relaxing about these video's, keep up the good work lads :)

Nice one. Greetings from Malaysia. Its just satisfying as the drain emptied.. we have the exact same feeling

Another job well done. Greetings from the states.
How do you see down in the manhole, it's so dark, even with the flashlight.
Strangely calming watching these

@@mrlardster I just find it interesting. If you watch the NY plumbers cleaning out lines. You can appreciate the English style system.
Really satisfying this one Jetter 2! You must be the drain whisperer, that was bang on cue 😁
Great job! Suggest to put traffic cones on those manholes with covers opened to warn people passing by.
Also wash down all the manholes once finished.
Niagara Falls slowly i turned step by step inch by inch
Jetter 2 doing a Michael flatley dance on the manhole cover 😂
Great work all okay 👍
Thanks 👍

Just found your site and I’m hooked. Why of why does the care home keep putting wipes down the toilet it beggars belief. 😡
get your wellies on is ya?

Muy buen video saludos abrazo grande desde Argentina 😊👍
I keep wondering if part of the problem is having all the man holes? I know part of the issue is bad piping.

I think a simpler, more effective method would be to spray paint an arrow at the top of the wall of the manhole indicating the flow/outlet direction
How easily you can lift the lid in your country, I wish it was the same in our country.
Which country are you from sewer man 👍

Was that a floater in the first manhole cover? 😂
You could definitely do with a more powerful portable light source for the deep manholes, it's very difficult to see anything.
Which carehome is this? Gonna go for a wander in their back garden with the gate code
Sounds like you are getting a round of 👏 applause
Andy's shadow running was like an old episode of Treasure Hunt with Anneka Rice ! 🤦
You could use a bigger flashlight. Great job.
As usual. A fantastic, professional job!! 🏳️🌈

Cheers buddy 🍻🍻
How come u didnt pyt water with disinfectant down any of these manholes
any one for a swim?
What's timting?
Good job. You really need to adjust your camera
almost needs a window in the lids of pits so they can easily be monitored so issues like this can be detected before it becomes a total failure

Awesome from new jersey
That beautiful sucking sound which indicates success ! Anyone in the industry knows very well.
Wipes. Wipes. Wipes. Wipes. Wipes and morrreeeeees wipes.
Talking to the drains he must be a drain wisperer
I'd be worried about the culture of seeing a reason to fall down a manhole and throwing in a claim.
Please be careful.
Good Wednesday evening to you all from Wellington Somerset
Can't see in the manhole! Need high powered flashlight!
I wonder how many sets of false teeth end up in the drains of a care home 😂😂😂 no disrespect to the elderly folk meant by the way 🙂🙂🙂

Manhole is such a horrible word. I'd never thought of that until now
