Nice video, but you need to work on audio balance. Music came in so loud after you were speaking really quietly it freaked me out. Also maybe you should put the whole process in 1 video? It seemed way too long of a clip in order to watch you scrub your bands and not getting to the finish.
I would have wiped down the strap between the two cleanings as well. Generally I use a damp cloth to wipe down after each cleaning to be sure and transfer the dirt off of the strap and onto the cloth.
Depends if you wear it everyday and how fresh you want the strap to look. You can get 2 years out of most straps but if you wear them everyday and sweat a lot you might need to change it after a year.
