I absolutely agree with you! Feels like the bears of 2 years ago. Justin was breaking rookie running records and good vibes, but always losing because of Flus.
The audio definitely buffered, but it was decent enough to follow the content. As always the content was spot on and very appreciated. Especially the part about fans chasing highlights instead of their team's WINS. I'm so worried most Bears fans would prefer to have Caleb be Phillip Rivers with no super bowl appearances instead of say an organization that can get to and win Superbowls without the flashy, Top 5 QB. Be nice to have both, but I'm ready to celebrate titles not just great players 🤷🏽♂
Spot on L! Minnesota was supposed to be in a rebuilding year and they're a serious threat with niners taking a step back and familiar/beatable interdivisional contenders. Can't give away whole seasons
Yup, audio still a bit off. I’m not sure who is feeling a good vibe after yesterday since winning is the ultimate goal. Caleb look good and gives me hope we finally have a real quarterback. Still need to win!
you make an amazing point about how fans need to raise their standard. I agree w/you 100%. However, when it’s been as long as it’s been w/o any success and franchise has not demonstrated a willingness to step outside themselves and do better on hires, what else are fans to do? I think a lot feel frustrated and helpless b/c these owners are insular and stuck in their ways. It’s a shit cycle but I know we gotta demand better but how do we force this team to do better. Is it media like yall putting more pressure on them? Thank you for all you do, your episodes continue to make us smarter, more thoughtful fans
I was hoping they'd sneak a win out of one of these last 2 games. If for no other reason, defensive coordinators don't really have a play book on what the Thomas Brown playbook looks like with CW.
Laurence, fans have to root for moral victories bc we can’t trust the organization’s ability to assess coaching. If the Bears were to win out, the organization would not be able/willing to recognize that the winning was done in spite of the coaching. Meaning Eberflus keeps his job. It’d be nice to have a standard of winning, but until this team is sold, moral victories will always be a part of the culture.
I hope your message is to the Bears and not the fans. They dropped the ball by not replacing Flus. Not the fans. He's the common denominator with this team's performance. If it was time to start winning as Poles stated before the season began. Then replacing Flus should've happened in order to jump start that
You know Caleb is a rookie right? Like when have expectations on a rookie QB been this ridiculously high? A rookie WR and a mediocre OL and a bad pass rush doesnt not make you ready to win now. Expectations were too high and now reality is winning not the Bears.
The defense looks like it has regressed. I know they’re dealing with a ton of injuries but even on the play calling side, they did not blitz on 1st and 20 and seemed to be playing prevent with wide open gaps for the Minnesota to march down the field with ease. Jaylen Johnson was horrible!! It seems like everyone on this team is either on or off. If everyone was at their full power every game they’d be an elite team but instead they’re well below 500. It’s extremely frustrating.
NGL I kinda dislike looking into the future too. I mean I hope whenever this team finds success, I don’t want this to turn into another D Rose and the Bulls situation. Having a talented and promising rookie turn into an incredible player but the team does not have enough to be able to win it all.
Eberflus just isn’t professional enough. He’s either unwilling or unable to go 100% on details for himself. He’s losing on Monday through Saturday so he isn’t prepared for Sunday. That’s why he’s the worst coach in these close games. And when push comes to shove, it’s HIS UNIT that doesn’t close the deal.
Who are you talking to when you talk about the standard and winning mind set ? Bc everyone I know and talk bears ball to knows we have the QB and the coaching staff and front office is holding them back. So I’m curious who this sentiment is for
Bears fans got robbed of a great year. In an alternative universe, Caleb leads the team to a win against Washington, the Bears beat the Packers on a last second fg, then win against the Vikings in OT and go to the playoffs with CW winning ROTY. Bears fans need catharsis and it's not there and it all just feels awful and unfortunately familiar. All we have to hang our hat on is Caleb beating all our dismal rookie QB records that were set in the 40s. The only way to not start completely over is to make Thomas Brown the HC next year, but is that truly the right move? Time will tell.
I’m ok with Laurence wanting to keep JF and build a real O-line. Caleb has looked good but that has not translated to wins. So some of us Bears fans who’ve been around would like to take the “wait and see” approach as opposed to going balls deep into a hope and a prayer. Please point out to me the “generational” portion of Caleb’s year thus far? Bcuz that’s what fans like you were using to shout down us fans who wanted to see them build up the trenches. If Caleb has a sophomore slump are you going to bring the same energy? Probably not. Go back to watching your 10 second brain melting vids. That suit’s you
I’m also sick of hearing how proud he is about how the guys battled. This is professional football-not pop warner. This isn’t acceptable, but unfortunately it seems like winning isn’t what the Bears are about.
As a long time Bears fan I recognize Da Bears will not win more than 1 game if that the rest of the season. He is not HC material capable of winning championships. Fire EverFraud and get it right this time. Put as much research into the next HC and his coaches as you did Caleb.
This is the reality. They won’t win till they sell the team. This team (ownership) is not committed to winning so what do I as a fan have left?? It’s a hard franchise to watch as a fan LH. You cover them so it might be a little different. But we tired LH

LH, you are the man. Not enough of your content on the Score...thanks for posting more of your work brother. ❤
For the algorithm👍🏽
I used to have and love that CHICAGO VICE poster RIP 34

Ohh and the Bears are in the hardest division in football with the hardest remaining schedule.
We are gonna have a top 8 pick draft a OL and sign some free agent pass rushers and...DEJA VU all over again
Cylons were still after you today as well. But I enjoyed nonetheless. Always appreciate your analysis!
Spoken like a true radio host!

Laurence care to revisit your Caleb v. Jayden assessment now? Jayden doesn’t look sustainable at all
I'd love to hear it

“The standard is not the good vibe,” well I’m sorry but if you thought Justin Fields was better than Caleb Williams, you have no standing anymore
Caleb will probably be good, not great, not franchise. Just good. Temper expectations.

Laurence you gave away the standard when you shilled for JF over Caleb, sorry

Laurence is complaining about highlights and social media and winning and yet wanted to keep Justin Fields 😂

@@mikecruz5389 did you watch the game yesterday goofball? 5-6 GENERATIONAL throws I saw
@@pg-mr7ucWTH is a generational throw? 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
We’d be a playoff team right now if Poles was smart. Trading the pick was a No-Brainer. We’re worse! How? Why?

40 years Bears have only been to 2 SB. This isnt a great franchise its just an old franchise.
