So I did a thing! I bought a JW painting from The One With the Diamond Art. I bought "Spirit of the Ocean." I didn't realize it has 229 colors! It doesn't say anything about the number of drills on the website! It hasn't arrived yet, but it will be the first time I've tackled this amount of colors! Anyway, if I hadn't watched your videos on your JW kit, I wouldn't have known about the Art Dots drawer storage, which I found on Amazon. Thanks for all of the tips on handling this type of project!
This was in January, so it's winter. You;'re heating your house, and it looks like you're wearing a sweater. The sweater, with house heat, can cause "dry" static in tiny plastic (acrylic or resin) pieces.......plus I'm sure the plastic baggies they came in also create a fair amount of static as they rub against each other.
For me, I need to actually watch the show - I miss too much if I don't watch their faces!! I love the series and can't wait for next season. Thanks for watching!!
Hello Daphne, I am collecting drills for large conversion painting I want to try . Just going to take awhile to get all the 90 colors needed . Once I have enough to start it won't be until we move into a bigger place . Right now I'm in a fifty by twelve ft trailer and seriously no room to work a very large painting . I have a massive dining table once I move . My plan is to set the challenge up on it .
Hubby and I have been binge watching the True Detective seasons. We do 1 season a day. That's all I can handle lol. I know never say never, but I don't think I could ever do a painting with that many colors. Can't wait for the updates as you go. Have a great weekend.
It is a LOT of confetti, but I find once I get familiar with where all the drills are, it's not that hard to keep track of them. So it's slow going in the beginning, but it gets faster. Thanks for watching!!
You know if that drawer container unit was mine , i'd be tempted to remove that silly tab and just glue a small wooden knob to use as a drawer pull . I watch everyone who has this type struggle with that tab lol !
I hadn't thought of that, but it's a great idea! I may have to see if I've got some old pulls laying around that I could put to good use. Even a screw head would be less intrusive into the drawer than the way they've designed the tab. Thanks for watching!!
Hey there!! I am so behind on videos…. But when I saw you kit up that last drill I was like YaY!! I bet that was such a sense of accomplishment. Happy for you!!
Hey Daphne. I have a television on my dp table. I am currently binge watching This Is Us on Netflix. I never saw it when it was on tv. If I’m not watching that while I dot, I’m watching/listening to Bones on antenna tv.
I've never watched either of those! I should make a list of things I want to watch and work my way through it as I diamond paint. Thanks for watching!!
I only discovered DP last September, so I wanna practice a bit more and go through some of the stash I already have of around 50, but a Josephine Wall is definitely on my plans for the future, maybe 2025. 😊
I hope to do a J. Wall, just ordered two from The One With The Diamond Art, I have one and am waiting on the second. But just started a HAED, which will be an all year project as well as another WIP. I’m dreading the kit up, but using the 420 Artdot suitcase storage.
I also ordered a J wall from The One With the Diamond Art. Wow was I surprised that it had over two hundred colors. The symbols all look alike black on white canvas no indication of color or picture. It’s like a monster mystery kit . Hard lesson learned 😂. Very disappointed !!! I was expecting a wonderful experience and I wonder if I will ever place a drill. The piece was titled Halcyon Nights. Kathy in Oklahoma USA.
I am sorry that you have had issues. I am doing a slightly smaller, only 70 colour, painting from diamond painting deutschland. I have had none of the challenges. Static yes. But I hope for you the painting is lots if fun for you.
I will be doing the jwallalong this year. You should definitely enter your canvas. I haven’t decided which canvas to do yet. I have a few options. As we get closer I will decide based on mood.
Now that I’m done kitting this up, I need to see what events will work for the canvases I have planned this year. Some of the events seem so complicated though! Thanks for watching!!
@@DiamondPaintingAnonymous I know what you mean. I am only just now figuring out Kay’s bingo. I have been part of that group since last year. I was quickly overwhelmed when I saw all the boards and rules. I think I finally figured it out. I will be pretty active in there because you know how many finishes I do monthly. Each one must be entered before starting so I am having to be extra organized this year!

My goodness that kitting up was quite a journey! I hope working on it goes much smoother! Can't wait to see it done.
It was! Thanks for watching!!
Yay you’ve got her kitted up! Now to get working in her! Can’t wait to see how she turns out!
Yes, I am ready to start actually laying some drills! Thanks for watching!!
I binge watched all seasons of only murders in the building while dp. It’s a good show. I’m hoping the next season comes soon!

It was certainly a process to get it all kitted up! But now it’s done and I can actually start drilling on it! Thanks for watching!!
Restock today on Helkroyo’s DP’s on Diamond Art Studio UK. I bought FOUR!! I had been waiting a LONG TIME!!!
Wow! I've not bought from them before, but I've heard good things. Thanks for watching!!

Couldn't see DMC color #. Thanks
I would consider saving the temperature kit to be done your first full year in Canada. It would be a fun memento of your move and transition.
It would be!!

How do I find out about this event? I'm not on FB but I am in IG.
@@cindy4u2 Search for #jwall2024 - I think
@@DiamondPaintingAnonymous That didn't work.
Just starting DAP, and watching prep vids. I'm not seeing part 1 for this video :(

? Sticker symbols on round bottles; ? Orientation? Knowing if right side up.
@@michelelockport4382 The stickers also have the DMC numbers on them, so you can see which way the symbols is oriented.
Do you that DAC have a calendar for the event. To help us keep up with them.
DAC has a calendar for events? I didn't know that. Thanks for watching!!
There's a form that you can fill out so that your event can go on their calendar as well

Does the static guard spray make the diamonds sticky or leave any residue?
No, it doesn’t. I just spray the end of the cotton swab and then swirl it through the drills. Thanks for watching!
@@DiamondPaintingAnonymous didn’t you spray the containers too?
@@Jaime_plans No, I only spray the cotton swab and then swirl it through the drills. I don’t spray directly into the bottles.
