very nice job!
Excellent... explanation... good job.
Very informative vedio, thank you
Simple and elegant explanation
Thanks!
great video!
Bella.......bravo!!!
Measure your window in top, middle and bottom as some windows can be as much as 1/2" off square. Use the smallest width for your shade's width value.
Great tutorial - this man's concept of inches is quite off, but if he thinks 7-10" is equal to 4-5", he probably keeps people happy, provided for and pleasantly surprised. ;)
Legal stuff. Gotta love it. Don't eat the chain either! Great video. As usual
Ya, fun right! Thanks!!!
On the road to make a million dollars with this video. I need sponsorship
Found the video very interesting
I am having Blinds fitted but cannot deal myself because I’m disabled
But I was interested in how they were made
Very Cool.
Very helpful video! I have a zebra shade that I am trying to cut but not enough space so I tried to fold it but my rotary cutter and cutter knife are not able to cut through.. Any suggestion or alternative manual tools I would really appreciate, thank you!
Thanks!
Could you show us how to make a retractable (electrical) pergola
Thanks a lot
brilliant
the decorative phiftertex is 54" wide and my window is 57" wide, can it be pieced? or is there another way to make this work?
Hi can I ask you a question please? do you think the thickness of 32mm diameter aluminium tube for a length of 198cm is too long? - the material weight is 1.1kg, is it likely to sag in the middle etc?
REPLY
Браво!!!! супер !!!! как бы я хотела тоже такое сделать)))
Я так рада, что вам понравилось видео. Надеюсь, твой оттенок получится великолепным!
Do you have a kit to make an outdoor patio screen 8' wide?
Great tutorial, just wish I lived in u.s.a to be able to get the fabrics cheaper .
Great video instructions! I am about to buy your roller shade clutch kit, but for fabric, can I use Roc-Lon Home Decor Fabric Lining 54"- Budget Blackout Flame Resistant White as shade fabric?
Yes, that fabric can be used for the roller shade clutch kit.
Patrick, I'm curious to know how the RocLon fabric turned out. It's good to know that you can source fabric outside of Sailrite
Why do you factor at 1 1/8 inches instead of 1 1/4 or 1 inch? What are the reasons behind the number? Is it because of the hardware? Thank you.
may i ask a question... i only have to replace the Aluminum Roller Shade Blind Rod (78 imches) because it broke open... i will reuse the fabric, etc... so i got a new rod (from METechs ) and ma seeing your wonderful instructions... there is just ONE elementmissing where i don't want to mae a mistake: which DOUBLE SIDED tape to use? can you help?
The double sided tape on the rod is a supper basting tape: www.sailrite.com/Seamstick-1-2-Super-Basting-Tape-by-3M-60-Yds It is rather expensive. You might find that this also works: www.sailrite.com/Seamstick-1-2-Basting-Tape-for-Canvas-50-Yds it is not as aggressive, but costs less.
my window is 92" wide. will the long clutch rod sag in the middle because of the long unsupported span?
No, it will not sag in the middle. Let us know if you have more questions. Here is the kit for you: www.sailrite.com/Roller-Shade-Clutch-96-Kit
I also have a really long window but I am renting so was wondering if I could put a wooden box inside the window area onto which I can fasten this roller blind? I am not permitted to make any holes in the wall or even paint the place.
Yes, this shade can be mounted to a wooden valance box.
Wher do you buy the roller rod
Good
Thanks
What prevents the cut edge from fraying?
We only pick fabrics that do not fray when cut. Here is a link to those fabrics: www.sailrite.com/Fabrics/Home-Fabric/Roller-Shade-Fabric
Bubble Chasers II
Why 1 3/8 inches? I am curious as to why such significant reduction. I can't factor only .5 inch or 1 inch? Thanks.
We don't want the width of the shade to be close to the window's frame, so 1 3/8" would mean the edge of the shade will be about 5/8" from the side of the window.
What's ur curtain material name.
The fabric we used in this video is Phifertex Plus Vinyl Mesh Martindale Pewter Item #3032478, but it is not longer in stock. Here are links to other possibilities: www.sailrite.com/Fabrics/Home-Fabric/Roller-Shade-Fabric
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Sir your country name
You don't need a helping hand its a tube roll it onto the fabric duhhhhhhhh
Caddy Wampa?
Yes, Caddy Wampa is a character from Star Wars!
GREAT videos but why does it always sound like the narrator is saying "Say-a-right" instead of Sailrite? Just seems odd...
🙏🌸🌸🌸🫂🌬️🌬️🌬️
Has anyone tried mounting these upside down so that they roll up, providing privacy?
You cannot do that with this system, sorry.
OMG!!!! With the prices of their products you might as well buy your shades already made!!! OMG!!! Higher than high end drapes for PARTS!!!! No thank you.
I haven't researched but I would think making your own roller shades with a kit is a cheaper route
$55 for one shade mechanism.
No, thanks.
That's discouraging ;(
Way overpriced
Very bad
