Love Xena and Gabrielle! I first saw this show when I was twelve years old and it changed my life. Now I am thirty years old and the show still inspires me.
I loved this show as an 11 year old to up I would come home from school go to my grandmas house and I would make a huge ice cream and watch a new episode of Xena and Hercules. I would feel like I was in fantasy heaven! it was an amazing feeling as a kid. I guess im a bit nostalgic but as im now 30 and there so many shows similiar to Xena and Hercules but they dont give me that magical feeling I had as a kid. Lucy Lawless is awesome :)
I still love this show. I remember my mom and brother talking about how xena is on Netflix so my brother and I watched the show together. I still love to watch it at times.
Lucy Lawless is such a beautiful woman and plays a great character. Renee O’Connor it’s a perfect side kick character. Two characters balance each other out. I have seen Up-to-date pictures of both women and they are still beautiful. I just wish I could find more shows during them. From the state of Texas in the USA
It originally came on around 7 or 8pm on Thursday nights. Hercules was on first then Xena came on the following hour. I think the two were part of what they called "Action Pack" or something (I remember the seeing the logo when the two shows came on.) By the time the later series aired it changed from Thursday nights. I also remember seeing some Xena shows on Saturday (or maybe it was Friday) nights, although those might have been reruns.
Hercules and Xena were syndicated shows, meaning that local broadcasters decided when to air them, usually late night or in the afternoon. The age of the syndicated shows are over. I look back at those times with extreme nostalgia. (I think we live in the absolute best time right now, though. We can watch anything we want at anytime in the best possible way for free. Someday soon, the government will find a way to regulate and totally control what you watch and charge you for it. Nothing will be easy to watch. The internet will no longer be freedom of information but a controlled trap. There are seeds of that with these google accounts being required to track your every move and action.) Where I lived, Hercules and Xena originally aired on Saturday nights at 10:35pm and 11:35pm, respectively. Later, when Hercules ended in its 6th season and Xena was in its 5th season, Xena moved into Hercules timeslot and Cleopatra 2525 and Jack Of All Trades (two half hours shows) were in Xena's timeslot. Jack Of All Trades was canceled first and then Cleopatra 2525 was elongated to an hour show. Cleo was canceled same time as Xena ended. And that was the end of that.
Tate Stout Yeah, you're right that it was a syndicated show. What I should have said was those days and times were for my area. I don't know why you went off on a tangent on the government or whatever. The government does not charge you for watching any programs over the air or online. It is business companies that charge you, or want to charge you. And Google is not the government. I don't understand people like you that blame big government for everything while letting big businesses slide. If anything is as nefarious as Big Government in this day and age it is Big Business. Big Business owns (or nearly owns most of) Big Government.
Tate Stout I didn't ask a question, I just stated that I don't understand people like you. People that conflate big business and government. To equate the two is myopic.
Notice how it was her FATHER as mentioned to be a strong woman. Mothers and women should not overlook how much of a good influence a father can be in a child life if they want to be a part of it. Don't believe feminists who say "you don't need a man to raise a child" If you can't avoid it, than good for you. But keeping a strong male presence in your childrens lives is what helps as it does to have a strong female presence as well.
Lol what a ridiculous comment. There are tons of great dads, but also tons of shitty dads. As if a strong male presence is automatically a good thing! Took me years to undo the damage of abuse from my dad - thank God for mom who taught me how to be a strong PERSON. Single moms and lesbian moms can raise children just fine, AS CAN single dads and gay dads. All that matters is the love and care you give the child, not how many parents it has, or their gender.
+Ash Lopez I think we are agreeing here but coming at it from different angles. I am using this as an example when people within feminist groups think little to nothing of men and fathers and are not to slow to encourage a woman to leave her husband at the first sign of a disagreement. I am just saying that despite what differences women have with some men (And Vise Vesra) It should not mean that a father's presence cannot do good for a daughter or son. I am not happy to hear when a couple get divorced and a mother will do whatever she can to make sure her ex husband has as little contact with his children, despite the fact that he may have been a great father but just not a good husband, the personal issues a ex husband and ex wife may have should not influence or be used as a reason not to allow a loving positive parent into a child's life. My statement is just a reminder that there are actually good fathers out there who can have a strong influence on a daughters life. The negative should not outweigh the positive and be the general rule.
Muy bueno todo..... Pero,?. Toooodas las entrevistas de Lucy y Renee deberían subtitularlas.... En espanish...... Los q nó leemos inglés....... CAGAMOS NO MAS!!!!!!???

What time of the day did Hercules and Xena come on in the U.S.? Anybody remember?

You just answered your own question. The government IS Big Business. One and the same.

She has a very healthy attitude to life and fame.
Glad they didn't reboot it wouldn't have been the same
When it was?
Bringe xena back!
Nossa eterna Xena !!!!
ohh I love it!!
Ela estava no auge!!!! Lindíssima
que voz fofa
Why can't she be Wonder Woman?
At 46 years old or so now, that might not be as feasible as when she was in her XENA days.
She voiced her in a movie once
+SuperPat88 can you tell how old she was in this interview ?
29
Acredito que a Lucy curtiu bastante cada momento desse!
