  • (20 Oct 1960) At Victoria Station, the Queen and Prince Philip came to welcome their guests, King Mahendra of Nepal and Queen Ratna and the Crown Prince. Other members of the Royal Family, including Princess Margaret and her husband, and Princess Alexandra, were also there. After the Royal presentations, Field Marshal Lord Alexander and the Prime Minister were presented to the King. A great occasion, this, and the first state visit to Britain by a King of Nepal.

      Brother I can relate to your frustration as a Nepalese. But it doesn't matter a leader is literate or illiterate. A leader should have love, will, courage and passion for his country to become a true and great leader. And our king mahendra was one such great true leader. Truly a legendary figure and probably a mythical figure for our current politicians who ruined our Nepal and forgot what king mahendra did to save Nepal from India and how he developed our nation.

Khai kaha gayo British Gorkhali haru lai bhada ko tattu, desh drohi, desh ko lagi kehi na gareko bhanney haru. Our forefather earned respect for our kind. Don't forget that. Even though I am not a supporter of Monarchy System Especially In Nepal. This Video is Worth watching by all Nepali. All the English Nobleman and aristocrats, who are best of the Europe Saluting and Bowing the Hindu Monarch. State honor by the British Empire to their old Ally.
    Sad Fact that despite of Warning by his father not to have Matrimonial Relation with Rana Family He ended up marrying two Rana sisters. Beginning of the end of Nepali Monarchy. Look Today Ranas still control Nepali State while Shahs are part of the History.

      You spoke the truth man, Ranas were curse to Nepal and Nepali people. They were always in the best receiving end. Shah's were the one who always had suffered a lot and had worse case scenario when they had power. By the time Nepal got democracy which was during 2007 B.S royal place was almost bankrupt because it was them Ranas who had all the wealth from their loot and exploitation of power and authority which they had for almost a century, Shah's were just figureheads.

    • @Pluto-ic4dj
      @Pluto-ic4dj 4 года назад +2

      @andrew ansyon what? Who told you so? You've been misinformed...all the indian castes are lower caste to the royal family of nepal so they never marry indian people. Infact deviyani, princess of gwalior of india tried to marry the crown prince dipendra but the royal house didnt allowed just because she was an indian and ultimately a lower caste so its impossible that queen mother would be punjabi or india. The both wives of king mahendra are nepalese from rana family
