Yeah, gone too soon! He had a likability about him no matter the role. I fully expected him to one day land a breakout part that would have made him a star.
I love so much that part of the reason Raylan doesn't shoot him, is because he doesn't want to deal with the paperwork. I laughed so hard the first time I saw this.
Yeah, a man soaked in gasoline might want to give the 'fire' part of 'firearm' some thought. And Raylan's correct. It's not the liquid. It's the fumes.
I can tell you right now what ever law-enforcement department that would have to deal with him would hate you. He would be worse than transporting someone covered in mace.
Also, (a) paperwork and (b) homeboy mighta got spooked and pulled the trigger, g-d knows what he mighta hit. I mean, there's a lot more gas in that pump than what's on doofus' clothes... and if he hits the car, the girl's in there... Nope. This way no shots get fired, no fire gets started, everybody lives, even mister asshole. I mean, I know Raylan's known for a body count, but this isn't a Tarantino flick. Every once in a while a scene ends with no cordite in the air.
Well, Raylan had already demonstrated his ability to plug a guy who was running from him. Yes, paperwork, but if I had a desperate guy with a gun facing me, that would be the least of my concerns. Then again, I don't have Raylan's ability to remain cool in such circumstances. @@fatman123526
Geez, how dumb: partner takes a position where the target is exactly between her and Raylan. She shoots and who gets the rounds? They are only interested in camera shot, not reality of such things.
@@danieldickson8591 it's even better than that - Raylan **was** in the line of the shot, so he moved explicitly to give his partner a clear shot, at the same time keeping the attention on him so she could approach, **and** putting himself inbetween the Perp and the Hostage.
So many iconic scenes in this series. It was perfect.
His delivery of "can't I just have a couple gallons" always cracks me up.
Using words like "self-recrimination" with a guy who didn't finish school is a gamble.
The hilarity in your statement cannot in any way be under estimated.
No, it is done with a genial contempt. I talk to people that way all day, every day.
Like Raylan says, it sounded good. 😆
"...do you know how a firearm works?"
"What?"
Question asked, question answered... 😂
"You didn't finish school, did you?"
Even if he did finish school with only a 21% pass rate in Chicago schools, he wouldn’t have known what he was saying anyway.

"They might not understand the age difference or the tape" People are so judgmental nowadays.
Used to a man could tape a woman’s mouth shut and no one batted an eye now days it’s a crime! Thanks Obama!
You forgot the sarcasm symbol. Some might think you meant it! /s 😂😂😂
Oliphant should have a school to teach actors, acting like law enforcement to be cool...:)
Raylan Givens is practically a textbook on how to deescalate a situation.
I know there are some wonderful lines just in this 5-minute clip, but "Hey, slow...slow," the way Olyphant delivers the line, is a humdinger.
Raylan’s ultimate trust in his partner Love it
coupled with his willingness to be the most exposed/defenseless bait every time lol
she's my favorite part in this scene
@@oldindependent3040
Every scene she's in.
Great scene!
As cool as the other side of the Pillow!!!
in August !
In memory of Stuart Scott
RIP Billy Miller.

Kaitlyn Dever who plays Loretta is awesome, Love this girl and would love to meet her. She's a local from my state!
You got a gun and duct tape?
Seeing her holding her own in scenes with a remarkable actor like Margo Martindale was a joy.
She's just been cast as Abby, the main antagonist for Season Two of HBO's The Last of Us. Very unexpected choice.
@@snakeplissken3063
Got the 🔫 but I've been meaning to buy duct tape for a few days now..
Kaitlyn was really good throughout the series. Loved Loretta! Not in the gun & duct tape may, of course…
the 67 eldorado has such a nice looking rear. its a good car

Well thanks Captain! What would we do without you? 😆
Vapors not fumes. lol
Same difference lol
Fumes.
Exactly.. fumes have particulates in it. As in welders's fumes.
The only time Raylan was actually justified, he chooses to BS the guy. 😂
Phuqing tea cupping your side arm! Sheesh!
Fun fact: the actress playing loretta was only 13 when this was filmed😂
I can tell you right now what ever law-enforcement department that would have to deal with him would hate you. He would be worse than transporting someone covered in mace.
Or have a chain leash and he can walk behind the car.
Once again, I wish Raylan had adopted Loretta.
> is kidnapped by Jimmy (Jesse Luken)
That's Billy Miller not Jesse Luken
I still don’t understand why he just didn’t draw his gun in the beginning?
Well, then he wouldn't have gotten to deliver his tutorial on firearm safety.

Ah, but couldn't Raylan have pulled out his gun and had it facing the guy as soon as he came out of the station?@@stonebear

Why do you think? He obviously wanted to sit down somewhere to teach her how to eat sausage and eggs 😂
Man, I love this series, to bad they screw it up, shame!
too - not to.
Something…duh
Geez, how dumb: partner takes a position where the target is exactly between her and Raylan. She shoots and who gets the rounds? They are only interested in camera shot, not reality of such things.
Not a direct line. Raylan is slightly to the side. Moreover, he's sitting, and his partner is shorter than Jimmy so she'd be shooting upwards.
