He was a corrupt, literally escaped thief, who became a security guard, a mayor, and then a police officer. In the latter job, he helped the Us Marshall Service try to catch him.
Ava's existence on the show was just to be a damsel in distress. Every after this season, it's nonstop hiding in the shadow of Boyd and pretending she's tough but she doesn't do a dang thing. Couldn't stand her and sorry the actress was awful with the worst fake southern accent.

I'm not even sure what this comment is supposed to mean. I don't think YOU know, so you equivocated by using an inexplicable question mark. Just come out and say what you're trying to say. Are you implying that MOST cops are corrupt? That's fatuous and cynical, and it just isn't true.
Sheriff took the one police cruiser on earth where you can open the back door from the inside
I liked that old boy honestly. I know he was crooked but he was like able.
Paul Blart has had a hard fall.

The Deadwood movie would demonstrate a generational pattern of betrayal between these two. :P
does Ava ever get tired of being tied up?
Her entire arc on the show is needing to be saved by someone. She's awful.
Is that Kevin James brother?
I honestly thought it was Kevin James when I first saw him on the show.

Not corrupt cop, just normal ?
That's a monumentally asinine, insulting, and untrue statement, fomenting hatred. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Cops are normally corrupt.
The line between the two often seems razor-thin these days, *if it still exists.*
