Do you mean Jerry Rivers? There was a Jerry Rivers who worked for WABC NY back in the 70's. He took a hidden camera crew into the Willowbrook Home for the Mentally Challenged on Staten Island and it got all the asylums in the country closed down. Unfortunately for the other 99.9999999% of the citizens who were not institutionalized "Free Range Crazy People" was the plan we were stuck with after the Mental Health Patients Bill of RIghts became law.
