This is a pretty damn fantastic tutorial on what you're doing and how you're doing it. I'm surprised you don't have a lot more subscribers. Nice work, keep it up!
You made a cut leaving about 4 inches of an end piece... most of these floors require a minimum length piece or it will loosen up over time. Read you instructions for minimum length. to run the underlayment at cut seems, run one end over the other end by an inch, then cut in the middle of them, it will make them fit perfectly together with some tape.
Yes, occasionally you may run into a few situations where you need to stray, slightly. from the instructions. With being said, I have not had any issues. But I really appreciate you bringing up these points for the viewers. Thanks for the comment!
Would you use the underlayment for a concrete basement floor when the concrete floor has a painted on sealer and the finished basement is air-conditioned?
I was just viewing the upload where you're sitting on the floor while holding the window fan to blow directly on you. I've found giving myself a splash of water with mint extract answers. I also will just douse my hair with water. When I was painting houses several decades ago I would keep a 5 gal bucket of clean water on hand just for dousing myself. It made the summer heat entirely okay.
I bought the stuff I used at Floor and Decor, but I just added this link to the video description if you want to buy a comparable product on Amazon: amzn.to/4c8NExq

Thanks so much for the comment! Hopefully with time the channel will continue to grow.

Yes. It makes the floor warmer and feels nicer to walk on.
Says it voids warranty on flooring?
@Regal2300 I'm guessing almost everything voids warranty on this type of flooring. Floor and Decor said it was fine.

I'll install an outdoor shower and do the scene from Flashdance. Hahah. But seriously, thanks for the suggestion.
The manufacturer of the LVP im using sayd not to use underlayment....
I would listen to the manufacturer or they won't warranty it. They will all recommend different things. Thanks for the comment!
What is the brand / name of the blue underlayment?
I think the brand was sentinel. It was at floor and decor. I'm sure all places you go will have a version of it. Basically it's thin foam.
Thank you
Looks really good!
Thanks!

They call it luxury because its more realistic, it is thicker than old vinyl, and it has a backing on it.
Awesome! Thanks for the explanation!
