How to make "LEDs Flash" to music/bass

- The project is to develop a rhythm following flash led’s which blinks following the rhythm of the music.
The light which glows according to the rhythm of the music is interesting to watch. This project is implemented in such a way that the lights (LED’s) glow according to the music.
The rhythm following lights can be achieved by this system.
Hence the flashing of the LED’s is done when an audio input is constantly changing its beat. So a Beautiful scenario of the changing LED’s can be viewed with the changing beat of the music.

What kind of resistor would I need?
Use 12v Led Light . They dont need any, capacitor or resistor, but they required more volume to light up

If anyone was wondering, I believe that a 330 ohms resistor for each LED in the series would prevent any damage to the average LED.
What about 1k resistor for each in parallel

You have to place a resistor in series with the leds for protection....
Automotive speakers need 4 ohms resistance for the amplifier not to become damaged right? Placing the LED's in parallel to the speaker changes the resistance does it not?

Lol I did this about 15 years ago on a car audio system. Just run a separate small amp to run the lights rather then connect them to the speaker directly.
We did that and we used Christmas lights, lol,
What do you mean a separate small amp could you explain further. And what benefits dose that have im trying to make this at home and i have no idea what im doing.

how to join a big lighting mal with speaker
I'd be worried about the glue right on the cone. If that speaker had more bass and excursion, I'm not sure how well that would have held up. Maybe even rip the cone.
you need resistors or you will blow the lights! it will work but you wont be able to turn the volume up much unless resistors are in line!
How the led conect to spk wire? With tr circuit or no?

You couldn't described about that capacitor and capacitor's wiring, also didn't about capacitor's value. which is clearly visible at speaker's connection point...

It's a filter capacitor. It's for the speaker not the LEDs. The cap filters out a certain range of frequencies that the speaker wasn't designed to play. Check out low/high/bandpass filters for more info. Also this method will destroy your amplifier eventually

The leds are pulling more power then the speaker so it’s distorting as it is playing so y wouldn’t I just run a wire to a separate speaker channel instead of putting the leds directly linked to the speaker

This method is not good. It needs something that will allow the LEDs to light up at the same intensity even the volume is at 5% or at 70%. It should react to the beats and not how loud the music is.
If it reacts to the sound intensity also I would prefer that because it's more immersive. Otherwise super loud and super quiet sounds get the same LED response? 🥸
