    A couple of months ago I saw a video where someone was showing a charging station that had multiple charging stands and they were powered by a diesel generator. The story was by Brian Sullivan on CNBC. A midwest Ford dealer was required to provide a number of charging stations at the e-dealership as part of Ford's electrification program. After spending a great deal of money, the dealer was informed by the electric utility that they could not provide enough electricity to power the chargers. The dealership had to buy a diesel generator.

      @FleaMarketJohn Год назад +2

      OK, Let's be civil here please! This is happening and was featured on a major news channels and RUclips auto channels. There are dealerships across the U.S. where the local electric company can NOT support a high voltage hookup for EVs., MAINLY in RURAL areas! Sometimes putting in a high voltage station requires a high voltage transformer or substation nearby, depending on the facilities of the electric company. It is way too expensive in some instances for the electric company to provide this service and upgrade all their equipment for only a couple chargers that are occasionally used. The only way to install EV chargers on these sites is thru diesel generators to use when charging is needed.

    I hope the car market corrects itself and dealers go under and we can have direct to consumer purchases. Im definitely not a GM fan my worst experiences were at a chevy dealership. GM is in a world of awakening with the discontinuing of the camaro and other products. Dodge is in the same boat and will tank. Ford isn't better but out of the big 3 my experience with Ford is better and luckily I have a good dealer that I purchase my mustangs from with no ADM or dealer BS.....plus the mustang lives on into 2024....and with a V8.....but yeah all dealers need to go most of us hate and don't trust dealers...we need direct to consumer

If you want to talk about price increases how about you and all the dealerships completely remove markups, dealer add ons, dealer installed packages, adjusting the APRs in financing ect ect ripping consumers off. How many C8 corvettes has your dealership sold above MSRP?....exactly! Direct to consumer is what we want.

    Chevrolet need to complete the vehicles before they leave the factory especially the Equinox, Trailblazer & Traverse as they ship them with missing some parts on the body & some features not enabled. Stay away from Chevy's made in Mexico & Korea as they poorly made & have quality control issues there.

      I know when I sold new Toyota’ 10 -15 years ago as the technology increased management demanded more thorough explanations and service walk throughs that increasingly took more and more time ; it would take hours to deliver a new car , between the time it took me to massage the finance dept to do their job and going over the car with the customer it could take 3-4 hours of my time

      Most of the luxury brands now have a delivery specialist that sets an appointment to go over all the tech and features. Spent an hour going over everything for my wife and me. I can see this filtering into normal brands, as they don't want to take the salesperson off the floor for an hour or two just for delivery.

      Oh okay that’s good , are those cars you’re delivering in this video considered “luxury brand “ ? If not , how long honestly is the delivery process…

    I ordered a new Buick Envista which has GM's last ICE in it. I will never ever buy an EV, you can't force new technology down people's throats if they don't want it. Mary Barra is wrong when it comes to EVs. I wonder if she has noticed all those Ford Lightnings sitting on dealer lots. 🤣
