Just got this watch for Christmas. Thank you for a great tutorial. I too liked the Garmin, but not having to download or pay for apps was the catch for me. Thanks for the video, as your walkthrough was more thorough than VC's.
I’m just getting into Golf again and I’m completely new to gadgets like this. I wouldn’t know what the best feature is but since I don’t have a range finder, knowing the true distance to the pin, or at least a closer estimate, would be super helpful.
Thanks for the review. Glad your playing partners didn't freak out when standing in the middle of their putting line like at the 9min 10sec mark of this video
I learned my lesson with the Voice Caddie guys. If you want a watch that will be obsolete when the next voice caddie watch comes out - go for it. Voice Caddie didn't provide any software and function updates for the T8. The Shot Scope X5 watch is a better deal! The Shot Scope X5 come with a set of golf tools to help you improve your overall golf game.
T9 is great. I am getting the X5 in the next week or so, I talked to my friends at Shot Scope on Friday. So I will do a comparison. Have you checked out the S70 from Garmin?
@@GolfersAuthority I heard garmin is the best but it’s more than what I wanted to pay. I was considering s62 but idk what the difference is between the s62 and s70
Bought this watch mainly for tempo and shot tracking features...and it doesn't even work for left handed golfers. It works great when swinging right handed, it's comfortable and light... But BEWARE of the customer service...I have emailed 3 different people with voice caddie and no one has responded, not to mention both of the customer service phone numbers they have go straight to voicemail. All and all I would rather go with a company that takes care of their customers. I wouldn't recommend any voice caddie products to anyone due to customer
Too much time watching you golf. Would be better if you showed how each feature was used on each shot: how Tempo was measured, what the number meant and how it may have changed on each shot and if it affected your next shot; are you able to measure each shot and assign the club that was used so you can get a realistic average of each club?: demonstrate how the green undulation actually works from various spots on the same green; and other features we didn't see, like measuring to hazards and doglegs; layup measurements. It took a long time to watch you golf, less time demonstrating watch. Sorry for the negative comments. I've watched a lot of demonstrators who seem more interested in showing off their golf skills and not enough time showing off the watch.

Thanks so much! What do you like most about it
Another good review! I would lean towards the Garmin as well, but the T9 is pretty solid as well.

Regarding the shot recording, is it able to distinguish the difference between practice swings and our actual swings?
Yeah because it will measure when you go to where the ball landed and then it registers

I know right! I should have been more cognizant
Can you transfer/save or see your distances strokes etc on your mobile. Thanks.

Really! I did not know that. I had to return the watch but that is so interesting. Have you tried the Garmin S62?
The green slope feature is amazing!
Can you measure how far a dog leg is from your position? Can you enter which club you used on each shot?
It automatically keeps score for you? Or.
It counts your strokes but you have to accept the number it comes up with. You can add strokes, subtract strokes or accept before the next hole.
Nice review!
I’m torn between the T9 and the x5 from shot scope

Really! Wow that is crazy. I am using the Garmin S62 now almost exclusively. I love it. Have you thought about switching?
I want to purchase S62 or T9. Keep going back and forth.
I love them both, what way are you leaning?
@@GolfersAuthority I am still not sure. I really don't want to have to designate which club I'm using each time. I want to hit and move to next shot.
Are you still using this?
MEZZ!!!!!
OMG You Saw that! Dude the Mezz is legit.

S62 is the goat.
Yeah it is hard to beat the S62! Is that what you are using
