Here's a list of the songs that I feel are some of the most underrated from every album. Some albums have multiple underrated tracks and some really shouldn't have any, but I chose one song from every album.
    1. High Voltage - She's Got Balls - 0:00
Was never a fan of the studio version, but the performance from The Agora 1977 is pure Gold
    2. T.N.T. - Rock 'N' Roll Singer - 0:43
They definitely should have played this song live more. It's an absolute gem and would have been kinda cool to hear Brian sing it even. Maybe like during VH1 1996?
    3. Dirty Deeds - Love At First Feel - 1:22
They never played this song live either and they definitely should have.
    4. Let There Be Rock - Go Down - 1:37
This song is simple but is straight up ballsy. Even when Brian did his version in VH1 it was just straight up balls to the wall.
    5. Powerage - Kicked In The Teeth - 1:53
The final track, but also one of the energy filled powerhouse tracks that makes Powerage the amazing album that it is. Straight up.
    6. Highway To Hell - Get It Hot - 2:16
This was one of my favorite songs on the album, especially as a kid. It's short and doesn't hide anything, doesn't try to be more than it should be. Just straight up rock.
    7. Back In Black - Let Me Put My Love Into You - 2:46
The only other song on the album they never played live, but they should have. Also this song works incredibly well tuned half a step up. If you ever watch the old music video that was on RUclips that was pitched up you'll hear it. Ever so slightly faster to pitch up the performance makes it work so well.
    8. For Those About To Rock - Spellbound - 3:05
One of my favorite tracks from the album that I don't see enough appreciation for. This song rocks and deserves more love
    9. Flick Of The Switch - Deep In The Hole - 3:15
This whole album is underrated, but this song in particular I feel rocks and deserves more praise.
    10. Fly On The Wall - Playing With Girls - 3:37
Another completely underrated album. Could have picked pretty much any song on the album for this, but honestly the transition from Deep In The Hole was too good. Also that riff in the chorus is so good. This should have had a music video instead of just being the credits song.
    11. Blow Up Your Video - Nick of Time - 4:22
One of the tracks they played live during the Blow Up Your Video tour that I think didn't get as much love as it should. There's lot of other underrated songs on the album, but they chose to play this one live for a reason.
    12. The Razors Edge - Goodbye and Good Riddance To Bad Luck - 4:54
Probably the only song on the 2nd half of the album (not counting Are You Ready) that's even decent. Every other track is either completely garbage or a total Hit. This track is the only "eh" one, but it has a killer riff.
    13. Ballbreaker - Love Bomb - 5:18
Hated by many: this track for me is awesome. That main riff just feels so Malcolm Young to me in the best way possible. I use to always skip this track because the intro was weird to me, but now it's one of my favorite riffs. And it's so simple.
    14. Stiff Upper Lip - Come And Get It - 5:56
One of those tracks that's easy to miss as it's on the latter half of an album where almost all the good tracks are on the front half of the album. One of my favorites from the album. For the riffs, the breakdown, the solo, all of it.
    15. Black Ice - Decibel - 6:18
Not one of my favorite tracks in the world, but on an album that I'm not that much of a fan of, other than the hits they played during River Plate, this song is alright for me.
    16. Rock or Bust - Emission Control - 6:38
I still hate this album with a passion. But this song has a cool riff and I can give it that much. Everything else about it is bad.
    17. Power Up - Money Shot - 6:49
Hard to really say any song on this album is "underrated" as it's still so new, but god damn does the pre-solo / solo section of this song take it to a whole other level. The whole song should have been based around that pre-solo riff. It's so damn good.
And that's all my reasoning! Leave a comment and let me know what songs you feel are underrated!

I disagree with your take on the second half of the razors edge, if you dare rocks and goodbye and good riddance to bad luck is my least favourite track from the album
Also how can you hate rock or bust when it has bangers like Baptism by fire, Dogs of war, Sweet Candy and Emission Control?

  • @acdcportugal

    • @KyleTheGuitarGuy
      @KyleTheGuitarGuy  3 года назад +9

The Furor was almost chosen, but apparently a lot of people would have chosen Love Bomb as the worst song on the album, so I chose it for most underrated because that guitar riff is killer. I feel like there's definitely a more general appreciation for The Furor.

Yeah, really Flick of The Switch or Fly On The Wall you could really pick any song on those albums. I love both of them to death. Let There Be Rock I went with "Go Down" mainly because Brian did such a good job on it I feel (I know some Bon purists hate his version) and think it should have been in the set for the '96 tour for sure.

    Superb.
Honestly, could listen to instrumentals only.
Back in Black I would not underrate one title.
It is by reason so successfull.
    It is a benchmark.
    Especially for ACDC themselves.
For thouse and Thunderstruck then the only really blockbusters afterwards.
    We fans are spoiled because.
It is like you want Sunday's steak and have to digest haggis, stew, potatoe soup.
Ballbreaker I like much, artwork, lyrics inside. This is good herring in BBQ sauce to me for diner. I like herring: it is simple, on bread. The sauce is important, can't stand simple tomato sauce.
Some is also just psychological preference for the title line, like Sink the Pink, Heatseeker.
    Not a music professional, though.

    • @KyleTheGuitarGuy
      @KyleTheGuitarGuy  3 года назад +1

This time around surprisingly enough it was Plugins. Rhythm guitar was the Friedman Dirty Shirley DS40 and the Lead guitar was the Friedman BE100. Both plugins from Universal Audio. It took a lot of post processing to make them sound like they did in the video, but I was giving them another shot since I hadn't used them in the context that I did before.
Would have used my wall of amps behind me, but something happened to the Wizard amp when I was mid recording and now it has 0 output. Gonna take it to a tech to get fixed hopefully soon. Could have just used the 50w JMP, but like I said before I was trying something new. Probably won't do it that way again because of all the work that went into making the tone usable, but at least it turned out good for the video!

I'm gonna do mine just for the sake of it. Some albums are missing because I haven't listened to them yet
    High Voltage: She's Got Balls
Love this song to death, both studio and live versions
    Dirty Deeds: Squealer
Could have been Love At First Feel too but the solo on squealer is too good to pass
    Let There Be Rock: Overdose
My favorite off the album and I also feel all the other songs got 'enough' recognition
    Powerage: Kicked in the Teeth
Could have been any song really. The whole album is underrated
Highway to Hell: Love Hungry Man
I just love this song and I think it's as good as the famous ones.
Back in Black: Let Me Put My Love Into You
I don't think I need to explain this one
For Those About to Rock: Spellbound
Almost as good as the title track (maybe I'm exaggerating a little here) but completely forgotten.
    Flick of the Switch: Badlands
Love this album. Could have been any song
Fly on the Wall: Send for the Man
Same as flick of the switch but I love the opening riff with a passion so I chose this one
    Razors Edge: Mistress for Christmas
Apparently this song is hated? I know I love it
    Ballbreaker: The Furor
One of my top tier albums and this is my favorite song off it
    Black Ice: Stormy May Day
I really like the main riff and the chorus
    Rock or Bust: Emission Control
I actually really like this one and I have very nice memories of listening to it on repeat when the album came out
    Power Up: Money Shot
I opened the album on spotify to check the # of plays each song has and this is the less played song but it's probably my 2nd favorite

High Voltage (1975): She's Got Balls - after Soul Stripper and Baby Please Don't Go I think this is the only other really worthwhile song from the first album.
T.N.T.: Live Wire - I love the guitar riff and the solo it's a shame that after Scott's death they forgot about the song since Brian only played it in 1982.
Dirty Deeds: Squealer - The solo of the song speaks for itself.
Let There Be Rock: Go Down - a very naughty AC/DC lyric with a killer riff.
Powerage: What's Next To The Moon - apart from being underrated this song deserved to be played at some concert with Bon Scott.
Highway To Hell: Get It Hot - Short but concise and direct.
Back In Black: Givin The Dog A Bone - I think it is very underrated but also very powerful and consistent, it will not be the best but not the worst on this album.
For Those About To Rock: C.O.D. - I think not even the devil can take care of this song and that's enough.
Flick Of The Switch: Rising Power - A more than decent song to open an already underrated album, I love this piece.
Fly On The Wall: Stand Up - The beginning of this song for some reason makes me nostalgic and an exciting feeling.
Blow Up Your Video: Kissin' Dynamite - a soft start that prepares you for a more than good song, too bad they didn't play it live.
The Razors Edge: Got You By The Balls - What a piece of composition, that solo and the riff so overwhelming along with incredible choruses.
Ballbreaker: Burnin' Alive - I think this is the most underrated of all the ones I have put in this top, in general I love everything in this song, I don't know why it was so forgotten and not even played live.
Stiff Upper Lip: Can't Stop Rock 'n' Roll - I really like that slower rhythm and as little by little the song becomes stronger until the chorus.
Black Ice: Money Made - Cliff Williams himself said that this was his favorite song on this album and the truth is I can't find fault with his logic.
Rock Or Bust: Dogs Of War - Although I don't hate this album like you do, I must admit that it is the weakest of the albums released in the 2000s. Dogs Of War seems quite entertaining to me with Angus in the backing vocals.
Power Up: No Man's Land - Unpopular opinion, do not kill me but I do not understand why they almost did not like this song, since AC / DC released the songs on their RUclips channel I observed that this was the song with the least views and I think it is very entertaining, it is not the worst although I do not consider it the best either.
If you read this Kyle I will only say that I admire you, that I do not understand how your channel does not have at least 100 times your current subscriptions and that if you notice any inconsistency in my comment it is because my English is not very good.

Once again, cant fault the logic.. good parts can make up for bad parts.. but bad parts can make you skip the song I always say.. Money Shot is a fantastic song.. The new album has a straight rock feel but is missing some of the Malcolm nuances in rhythm.. I think Stevie is using a G6131-MY tribute on this one as he sounds like he has PAF's in the guitar,.. my only complaint is that the entire rhythm section rides over Angus at times.. but Brian's production parts are finally spot on.. Angus was burried in the mix a bit too much for my liking.. Stevie/Cliff and Phil are thunderous throughout..

Dirty Deeds: Very hard choice, i love Rocker but i think rocker is not underrated
Let There Be Rock - Easy! Overdose is one of their best Songs in my opinion
Powerage - I go with Kicked in the Teeth
Highway to Hell - Love Hungry Man (I love the bass line and the last chorus)
Back In Black - What do you do for Money Honey (The Intro🥰)
For those about to rock - Snowballed (kicks ass)
Flick of the Switch - Guns for Hire (Love the angus openning) (or This house is on fire
Fly on the Wall - Shake your Foundations (The riff gives me goosebumps xD no idea why)
Blow Up Y V - This means war (it has the same vibe than riff raff, fast and powerful riff)
The Razors Edge - Fire your guns (its not really underrated but this song deserved more concerts than Donington, the riff is like a hurricane)
Ballbreaker - Chaught with your Pants down (no idea. I dont like this album)
Stiff upper lip - Give it Up (its actually the riff of Satellite Blues but its faster and the songs make fun)
Black Ice - Stormy May Day (omg i love it so much, the guitar🤤)
Rock or Bust - Play Ball (i share your opinion about this album)
PowerUp - no idea (maybe code red)
Keep it up! You are great!

High Voltage - "Rock 'N' Roll Singer"
    (it's a banger, enough said!)
Dirty Deeds Done Dirty Cheap - "Squealer"
(catchy bass riff + one of Angus' best guitar solos here)
Let There Be Rock - "Go Down"
    (despite being the opening track)
    Powerage - "Gimme a Bullet"
(I rarely say this about an AC/DC song, but this has a super-fun bassline)
Highway to Hell - "Love Hungry Man"
(Angus said he thinks it's the weakest track on the album, but I beg to differ, it's quite catchy actually, and the bassline is surprisingly funky)
Back in Black - "Shake a Leg"
(very cool guitar riff and blistering guitar solo, features one of the best vocal performances by Brian, love the fast-paced energy of this song, especially because it's sandwiched between two slower tracks on the album)
For Those About to Rock - "C.O.D."
(features one of the catchiest choruses on the album + another great vocal performance by Brian)
Flick of the Switch - "Nervous Shakedown"
(most of the tracks on this album is forgettable for me, this is one of the few standouts)
Fly on the Wall - "Playing with Girls"
(the same can be said here, the only difference from the previous album is that the production hasn't aged well)
Blow Up Your Video - "Two's Up"
(the arpeggiated guitar riff is so cool and this song has a sick guitar solo, if I'm not mistaken, Angus goes into tapping mode at 3:30, the only drawback of the song is the dated production, though nowhere near as badly mixed as its predecessor)
The Razors Edge - "Shot of Love"
(one of two standout tracks on the second half of the album, the other is of course "Are You Ready")
    Ballbreaker - "Burnin' Alive"
(not one of my favorite AC/DC songs overall, but I find this more enjoyable than most tracks on this mediocre album)
Stiff Upper Lip - "Can't Stop Rock 'n' Roll"
    (same comment as above)
Black Ice - "Rock N Roll Dream"
(I appreciate the different vibe while still sounding unmistakingly AC/DC, love Phil's drum fill leading into the chorus)
Rock or Bust - "Rock the House"
(it's obviously inspired by Led Zeppelin's "Black Dog" in its structure, and for that reason I love it + this is probably Brian's best vocal performance on a recent AC/DC album)
    Power Up - "Money Shot"
(this probably has the strongest chorus on the album, so I'm surprised it is the least-streamed song off the new album on Spotify, they should have released it as a single, then it would get the attention it deserves)

In my humble opinion "Show Buisness" from Jailbreak '74 should be on the list

    • @KyleTheGuitarGuy
      @KyleTheGuitarGuy  2 года назад +1

So I went with the original Australian album releases. '74 Jailbreak was a bunch of tracks from the Australian "High Voltage" album and then Jailbreak (which is on the Australian version of Dirty Deeds.
So "She's Got Balls" made the list since Show Business is also on that same album.

Rock 'n Roll Singer is one of my favorite songs, the opening solo is one of the best Angus has ever composed!
Go Down is also one of my favorites (all of Let There Be Rock is), with that invitation to girls to get down that shocked my youth!!!

I doubt that Decibel is his favorite track off Black Ice.

    • @KyleTheGuitarGuy
      @KyleTheGuitarGuy  3 года назад +1

Not at all. I picked songs from each album that generally wouldn't be considered the "Hits" of those albums, but are killer tracks that general fans might not give as much appreciation for / credit that they're due.

    • @KyleTheGuitarGuy
      @KyleTheGuitarGuy  3 года назад +1

      @@Aiden-cp7kl Exactly. ;)
If I had to choose one song it would probably be the Title track "Black Ice". War Machine would be a close second, but I don't like the studio version of that track and much prefer the way they did it live during River Plate.
