There was also that other time in Greenpath where he lost arpund a 1000 geo because he kept dying in that pogo section. Honestly... he really should explore more since he always seems to be going on a singular path everytime he backtracks but I get and respect he just wants to immediately get to the action.
Yeah. It would probably work out better for him (and has so far, like when he found cornifer by exploring a different path) but it's up to him and I find it interesting to see Eric's relatively linear approach to the game.

Oh yeah also he does way better at all the bosses than I did first time, but his exploration is no where near my expertise, even first time.

@@HeIp_Me They wouldn't burn up from re-entry at all. The burning is objects hitting terminal velocity and colliding with the rough atmosphere. An ant is so small, that it will likely rise and fall over and over a few times (or slow down and speed up multiple times) during its decent due to the thickness of the atmosphere.

4:34:57 I have played Hollow Knight for over 100 hours, a lot of which was spent re-fighting the (spoilers but he's already finished the game) sisters of battle because they're fun and a good warm-up for hard stuff, and I have never once seen that attack. I don't think that's intended, it seems like one of their AIs broke off and acted like the other one was dead for some reason
Honestly it'd be a cool challenge if that wasn't a bug, but an intended pattern. It looked pretty cool.
It's an attack if someone spends too long up on one of the sides, but sometimes it just does it if you hang out near a side
I can explain this. Because of the spike floor, the only safe areas are the walls and the middle. Nearly all of the Mantis Lords' attacks start in the middle, so the wall would be perfect for camping, so when you go over those spikes by the wall, it is programmed so that one of the Lords does a wall attack perfectly aimed to hit you. Then, he just got lucky and the other one did a normal wall attack by chance.
I love how we started with 6:00 and ended up with him beating PoP. What a character development.
And he did it (not PoP) multiple times lmao.
"Oh, that's a time to heal" *proceeds to keep using the time to attack, while sitting at full SOUL, and with 3 masks*
2:46:19 my favorite part was when he killed three big jellyfish without realizing how dangerous they were until the fourth one he defeated.

Okok, so tip for anyone playing, if you ever die and you need to back track _really far,_ check for benches in the paths you didn’t explore on your way back to the shade.
Especially if one of those paths has a picture of a bench just outside of it.

@@Rowantale I assume this is just a RUclips issue since RUclips never tries to check if it's a legitimate claim on their own. Hopefully RUclips realizes its system needs to be fixed eventually so that it can't be taken advantage of so easily.

@@MineNAdventurer I'm proud to say that i have a 112% steel soul savefile. Died quite a few times to get there. Most common causes? Those explosive bird things and Brooding Mawlek from the start of the game. Don't ask why

@@Medium4343 Ah well, I don't know what the science is for weird beings made of void, but since he's the size of a bug, the same principle should probably apply, since it's really the lack of mass, that prevents the fall damage for insects.

I love this game. It scratches my exploration and collection itches just like BotW does.
I've been playing hollow knight for a really long time now and I just wanna say that it's so awesome to watch new players adapt to the environment and like... learn all the little mechanics. I had an easier time because I beat celeste before playing hollow knight, but the combat was definitely something to get used to! It's really fun though :)

I came back and am rewatching this again two years later. Such nostalgia... And the music from this is so good. I love this game and Eric's playthrough of it was so entertaining that it makes it 100% worth the time to go through it all over again!

He did both, he got the bad ending at 70 percent then watched a lore video and then went and did the true ending, idk if he's going to go for 112% since he has said that he just wanted to play the game as he pleases and not purposely go after everything in the game
