I just got one a couple weeks ago! It's nice. I just need to mess with it more. They should bring multiple colored LED fixtures into the future. I still got my old lights from back in the old day and they still work great!
I saw this when it first came out, and have watched it at Guitar Center many times. I want to buy this light as I think it's a nice centerpiece effect. However, I do a lot of weddings, and don't think it is a great effect for the weddings I do. If I were still doing Mitzvahs and Sweet 16s or High School Dances, then this would be a great light for those events. It is one of the best light effects under $300 available right now though. The lighting companies have been slacking on bringing out new effects since like 2018!
Hey ODB. I simply use an O'clamp and generally clamp this light to my speaker stand. I occasionally use a light stand, it is linked in the description. I will link the o'clamps later today. Sorry, I thought I had.
Thanks for watching. Any actual dmx controller or software based dmx lighting control system. Do u have many lights to control? Do you want something you can add more to later? I did a review an an in expensive dmx controller which would allow you access to all of the Motherships dmx controls. This is the link to the inexpensive one i reviewed a while back. amzn.to/3olShvJ
@@Ensoniqdude No, but there is a new Tetra controller coming very soon that will have some minor control of the Mothership and some other Venue moving lights.
I really like the idea of this, but theres one thing missing for it to be perfect for me. Having the option to independently turn on off the led spots. Maybe not all, only a row or something but it would such a great effect to this
Thanks for watching. The laser is 4.9mw which is about as strong as a laser pointer. I cant really give safety advice, but as long as someone doesnt put their face a foot away from it and stare at a beam that isnt moving... you should be fine. I use it just as shown with no worries.
I'm not really good with lights. I just purchased this light and also the venue tetra controller. How would I set up both the light and the controller so it works properly? I want it to be sound active but when I plug it in, only the laser and donut lights work. IDK what I'm doing.. any suggestions?
Hi, thanks for checking out my video. I am sorry to say that the Tetra control will not work with the Mothership. If you watch my video on Tetra control you will note that it is for non moving lights. Pretty much for uplights or par type lights. (Also does not work with all of them, must check certain things) Wondering if someone told you they would work together or if you just figured...light controller controls lights? You are by far from the first person to ask me about this so I am just trying to find out why it seams to happen frequently. Good news is that the Mothership has sound active options in its standalone modes as well as adjustable mic sensitivity.
If you want to use your laptop as a dmx controller look for dmx software. Like chauvet showexpress or similar. There are less expensive options out there. amzn.to/3pBuqOP
This light does not follow with the music. It’s a really nice light but does not go with the music. I got it at Guitar Center and they also tried out the other ones they had and it wasn’t working with the music.
Honestly i expect a lot more for 200$ had to return it found some different ones for under 100$ and have a better show makes the music and investment more fun keeps the people pumped these seem to slow way to simple for my crowed it’s not always the more expensive the better and I found out the hard way
Thanks for watching and sharing your opinion. 👍 Next time please leave the name of the light you prefer so maybe we can check it out in the future. I still think this is a great light with great coverage for the price. Unique as well. Also a big plus for many is that you can go to Guitar Center and buy one. 😁
Nah. I'm sick of these All in one fixtures. ADJ, venue, chauvet, etc. could easily go back to their classics and turn them into LED and they won't or they do and try to be cool by adding lasers or "extra" shit to them. Like the Chauvet Cosmos. look what they did to it ??? they made it basically a moving head and now the fucking light is 400 dollars !
Something that's funny. I was actually at Guitar Center buying that light as you were uploading that video. I absolutely love it!
Lol. Funny.
THEY ARE HERE!
THEY ARE HERE!👽🛸

That's cool! Thanks for watching.
Was on sale today for 150 just ordered as well as 2 tetra bars they were on sale for 130 ready for 2023 season now
This light is pretty cool
Thanks for watching. It is a cool little light
@@KrisSzanto no problem. Got yourself a new subscriber. I’m obsessed with party lights lol

Yes.. its cool. I use it for exactly what u said, sweet 16s and such.
Thanks for the video. What mounting hardware and stand did you use?

BACK TO 70 & 80
A little bit, but with more optiin in a much smaller, more efficient package. 🤘
Does this work well with the venue tetra light controller??

Love your videos

With dmx you can turn on or off any effect, not individual leds, but sections...watch at around 6:10
Yeah I saw that, it's ok, but I'd like the idea of being able to point them in different spots randomly, sort of like what a spider does
What about safety using this laser? I have not used a laser yet in my shows because unsure about positioning a laser! Any advice or tips?

Where can I get the DMX software and how much is it?
There are a number of dmx software based control systems out there. You have to google it. Also regular dmx controllers are an option.

Why wouldn't they add a remote control for just on/off amazes me. Then we could at least turn on sound active from a distance.
How do i order one ? What is the link.
I have a link in the description.
Looks like the old lights we once used.
Yes, lol. But the added rotation, flat beams and laserS really make this stand out.
How do u go from laptop to light

How do you hang it upside down?
Thanks for watching. It has a bracket with it. You can either use a bolt, or what I typically use is a O-clamp. Depends what you r hanging it from.
I'm how to dacne help
Lol
