I run a dance with my friends, and we bought two of these, and they're amazing! Very jumpy with the effects in sound mode, they're portable, and they just look amazing, especially with fog! They're also pretty easy to set up with a DMX controller! 100% recommend!

@@croissantproductions I dont think they sell the spider 8 anymore... actually have never heard about it until now. Looks cool with the moving head aspect. I am assuming it made itnl quite pricey. They are all cool though... with HAZE. 👍

@@KrisSzanto we are classic rock cover band. Actually just beginning our lighting. We’ve used community lighting where we usually play, but as gigs are growing, we need our own. I think we’re going with RBG floods.

Just use the menu key until u see Sound then enter.

Do you think this would be good for a back yard party? If there is a fire going would it create enough smoke to help the effect or is a fog machine a must?
Thanks for watching. You would definitely see some beams with the smoke of the fire. You might even see some due to the elements in the air.

Hey there - can you confirm that one of the automated programs is to use a set colour at one time. i.e sound activated with only Red globe on?

Press "MENU" to find "SLnd",
Press "ENTER" to enter the menu,
Press "UP" or "DOWN" to select "NASt",and press "ENTER".

I'm new to the lighting end of performing arts, though I've been talking about bringing visuals into the picture (pun intended) with my partner in crime. so far I have two 1w 3d laser projectors mounted on a truss projecting parallel to each other (master and slave) @ appr.-45°into the floor (I use components of the GoPro mounting system to mount 4"x6" panes of glass @ appr. -10° just below the lasers to duplicate each and send a mirrored duplicate straight forward @ 0°. also 1 mini kinta that I mount close to the ceiling (if not flush with) to cause the majority of it's effects to spread across the ceiling. at home I place it on top of something and back away from the edge to have the device itself hidden from sight. last, I have the chauvet derby x that I place pointing directly up and against a wall to create an array of red, green, blue and white streams. I'm considering adding 2 (maybe 4) of the 80w moving head led beam lights from shehds and possibly this. I was actually watching this review to see if I could catch any of its functions being showcased to inspire a little more confidence in the idea that this is a good fit for my setup. ya know trying to fill the gaps. looks to be perfect. so, long story longer, I wouldn't mind becoming the proud owner of that there contraption if u haven't given it away yet. thanks for all the videos and keep em comin. u do great reviews.
what configuration and settings do you suggest for a stage and a dance floor ???
It all depends on what you are going for. I always suggest using dmx so u get exactly what u want. What purpose do they serve on the stage.... or dance floor. Is it for dancing or something else... require slow movement or fast. What works best for you?

how do you get this effect with sound active, i tryd so many time i could not that, tell me please how can i instal that fonction
Click menu until you see SoUnd then try it... may have to adjust Sens up or down until the unit hears the sound u are using. Clap your hands or tap the unit.. check the led.
Do you know how to sink two of them together with a DMZ cable and keep it sound activated?
Its been a while I would have to refer to the manual. I believe you would just put the ifrst one into sound mode and the second unit into slave mode... think it looks like slnd on that unit. If not try dmx ch 001 on the second unit.

QESTION: I JUST BOUGHT THE LIGHT AND IT CAME WITH A MO7NT BRACKET BUT HOW DO I MOUNT IT ON A POLE VERTICALLY?
You will want to buy an o clamp. Look then up on Amazon. Just make sure you know your pole diameter. I buy ones with multiple sizes.

@@KrisSzanto thank you for the urgent response. I’m using show buddy active for editing/programming at home then sporting the dmx data for events. I was looking into getting the spider for experimenting purposes but I couldn’t find the model number fixture menu.

Is it possible to master/slave it with no controller and let it go in auto?
I did not try this because I only have one. I am almost positive that it does. I would refer to the manual or reach out to betopper to be sure. Often just set the second light that you plug the dmx IN to dmx 001 and it will follow settings of the "Master"
can you help me , i cant fix that
Pretty sure thre unit I got is defective. Sound mode only reacts to me tapping unit or clapping. It will not react to music at all. I can put it right next to speaker and it doesn't do anything and yes sensitivity set to 100. Ordered another one, if that one acts the same these things are junk. Am I missing something?
Did you try the sensitivity the other way? I cant remember 001 might be more sensitive. Most of these work best from bass in the room. When I test i often try computer speakers but often have to use a larger speaker for them to react.

So I got it to work finally! I literally have to put them right next the speaker. Another question, if I get a DMX cable can I connect them together and they will mirror eachother one master and one slave? Or do I need a separate DMX board?
@@ThomasMurphy Yes, they do have a master slave option. You wont need a controller, just a cable like you mentioned.
when I pulled mine out of the box, plugged it in, there was a constant red light next to "slave" and it won't change or do anything. Can't even tell if it would work because I can't get it off that setting of slave. There are NO instruction in that crappy manual for something like this. Not sure if it's something I can change because I don't know what to press! I tried pressing things, but nothing works.
Thats no good.... try to hild down the menu key for a few seconds and see if it lets you access anything. If so arrow down until you see slnd. Then try to change that.
